I just personally think it's so amazing how a place like this could exist. plastic covered manga, food machines, free drinks, free ice cream with clean topping section, and just fun. If this place existed in America, it would be absolutely destroyed and manga stolen. It just makes me think Japan is much more peaceful and such. It is amazing
@@Coldbreezed at my school library they’ve got a whole wall dedicated to manga but it’s usually the basic stuff everyone knows like a whole row is just dragon ball
I wish we even had one here in the states. I mean shit free drinks, showers even? Sign me up that's a premium service right there. Then again all the pages would have greese on them, or the manga would be straight up stolen so maybe not so much.
Malak Saidi - They mean in America. If you don’t have a certain security system set up then people here will gladly walk away with whatever you have to give. That’s why I suggested the system libraries have. They put a scan code sticker on their books, cds and dvd/blu-rays so they can catalog who has it after checking it out. So if you try to leave without checking any of those out an alarm will go off when you go through the security scanner checkpoint thing that’s at all the exits. Stores in general (likely all over the world) also have these to prevent people from shoplifting as many of them have items that can be easily stashed away in a bag.
Joey : mentions Akatsuki no Yona Me: YESS finally some love for shojo manga! Joey: doesn’t end up reading it Me: oh..... :( Joey: reads another shojo Me: oh..i guess that’s fine :,)

_"So you went for two weeks visiting and sight seeing japan. What did you saw?"_ _"A small booth and a labyrinth of manga"_ _"That's it?"_ _"What do you mean by _*_that's it_*_ ?"_

Update 2023 (for those using this video for info before visiting Japan) - visited on the 27th of April. Only English manga available was Full Metal Alchemist, One Piece, Kenshin, Bleach, Naruto, My Hero Academia and 2/3 others I can't remember and it's located in the reception by the magazine's not the black shelves like on the video. And don't be fooled by the ones with an English name on the cover, it's still in Japanese. If you're looking for current manga in English sadly you're out of luck. Still a cool experience just to chill with a "classic" but options are limited.
It's astounding how crisp that entire facility is. If you tried to have a facility like this in the US and stayed there for 24 hours you would probably leave with hep c or some shit.

Exactly, the dorms would be trashed bathrooms disgusting, etc.
Polyndo agreed if something like this existed in America, it would be an absolute hell hole 😂

Then again all the pages would have greese on them, or the manga would be straight up stolen so maybe not so much.
Well they could set up the alarm things that libraries have to prevent them being stolen.
