So enjoy your videos Josh! This Canadian veteran thanks you for your tribute to our serving members and retired members! I appreciate your “common sense” approach to life in general and your profession in general. You are the consummate professional trucker! Thank you once again for being out there in any weather to provide all of us with the goods and services we need on a daily basis. Be well and safe sir!
Josh, Purple or "Blue" street lamps use less energy and reduce eye "strain" they are not defective or broken. Several "intersections" or even "streets" in the US have them. I'll find a article of the information as to why they are the purple/blue so you can read on them.
I had a PoliSci professor who described the US/ Canada border as a long one-way mirror. Canada sees everything the US does, but the US sees only themselves.
That's one thing I really miss about being OTR, my old company ran out of Black River Falls Wisconsin and I miss those awesome little Kwik Trips, some of the best truck stops anywhere!! Best white cheddar popcorn anywhere too 😋😆
So it states a random light is a defect, that defect is a layer of "film" that eventually wares off. However Blue lights are baight that way: Blue street lights may seem weird at first, but there's a good reason for installing them. Some experts believe that the calming effects of blue lights can help relax and calm people, potentially reducing suicide and crime rates.
Hey, Josh I'd like to express my personal opinion about truck tires. First of all Michelin is a French company and Bridgestone who owns Firestone is a Japanese company which make them off-shore companies. Just call the cheap tires with their real names Chinese POS 🙂. (although some of the cheap POS are also made in Thailand) My tire guy says that he would only put a cheep steer off-shore tire on a trailer axle. That's it. Not as on a steer, not on a drive axle. As for Michelin vs Firestone there's a reason why the Firestones are nearly 300 CAD cheaper- they'll just last about 25K-30K miles less( a Michelin steer tire could last up to 200K miles while a Firestone my last 160K), if they don't blow within the first 30k miles or so( A few friends have experienced a Firestone steer tire blowup with less than 30K). Personally I prefer putting Kelly tires all around. I was surprised when the Kelly steers lasted longer and held a lot better than the Goodyears and Dunlops ( Kelly and Dunlop are owned by Goodyear) that I've used before.
I feel for you working in the cold. Not fun. Another good reason to have a bigger house. You can go home at night and not wake the baby. I wish people would wear reflective clothing and/or lighter colored clothing at night. We almost hit an eldery man at night crossing the road. Saw him at the last second. Thank the dear Lord we saw him in time. Still waiting for the house tour :) I know, you are both busy. Sending our love to Brit, you, Theo and your pups with big personalities. ❤
I found having carpets did alot better then bare floors as it would hide the hair! Have like hardwoods or whatever you see the hair floating around. Yes shark is a great vacuum.
You can’t go wrong with the advice from your tire shop, always buy top quality tires for the steer. It’s your life that matters. Really glad also that Canada is so secure that you can send your air forces into the USA to protect us for the winter. 😂 Stay safe and enjoy the holidays.
Good video. I will say you wont be happy with firestone steers. They had to be the worst we ever used. Not all overseas tires are bad. Firestones we actually pulled them off 3 of our trucks… They drove crappy. Cupped after 60k when others didn’t
Funny story my dad would go around the weigh station entering Duluth so through the woods over the hills 2 the grain elevator we would go but that was back in the 80s ope just aged myself llol 🤣
Duluth has a daunting spaghetti mess of roads going every witch way. Yes, you have to update your Dad jokes. LOL But they're still classic and well worth re-telling. You look so happy in your new home with your own video editing room. I have the same brand of WiFi extender you have and have it setup in my garage. It works well out there. Drive safely Trucker Josh.
Hi Trucker Josh the Videos been great the last two I watched them with my husband Ron I didn't get to get a chance to say hi until this video I had surgery on my Three left toes enough about me I really like the scenery in this video were we live we have a large pond in are trailer park and we get a lot of Canadian geese and ducks here to have a safe trip back home to Britt and baby Theo god bless you all 🙏

I'm curious to know what kind of monies you're making. Sounds like YOU are doing Very Well!! I am working my Arse off here in the US and don't have a pot to piss in. I live in my truck as well. I don't own a house and have no toys. My truck and trailer are it at this point.
You are welcome. I served in the U.S. Army for 8 years from 1982 till 1990. Have been driving a cement truck since 1990 here in Germany. 5 more years till I retire. 🇩🇪|🇺🇲
As an American, we are proud to stand with our Canadian brothers and sisters.
I was raised and live in the Red River Valley and I love our Canadian neighbors!❤

I like where you put the camera while driving. I like to be able to see the different places I've never been to before.
That 5th wheel need grease Trucker Josh!!!
Your jokes are great.
Don't change anything.
That's one thing I really miss about being OTR, my old company ran out of Black River Falls Wisconsin and I miss those awesome little Kwik Trips, some of the best truck stops anywhere!! Best white cheddar popcorn anywhere too 😋😆
Its got to feel good to get home and sleep in your own bed. Especially in a new home. Hope that excitement never wears off!
It's nice that you made it back to get a reset at home from the trip(s) to Minnesota!
To make more money just crank that speed up. The faster you go the more money you make. 🚛💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨
4 years Army I was in from 71 to 74
Goodyear also makes a great truck tire.

You have the nice doors in your house- those are the doors I want!
I certainly don't consider micky mouse culture, more likely lack of.

I heard the white lights confuses the migrant geese, but yellow and blue lights don’t effect them.
