Hi Sandra. I was going through my shelves of books and magazines of scrapbooking ideas, fabric techniques and mixed media techniques. To my surprise I came upon your book (the first one, I think)! I thought ‘oh cool! I just started watching her on UA-cam’! It’s such a great book. I’m inspired by your creativity both in the book and on your videos! Thank you for sharing all your talent and experience with us!

This works on glass, silicon mats, gel plates, and even dry erase boards. BUT, with the lids, you get a shape too! So, I will add your tips to the list, and thanks for sharing :)

I wonder if you did a very fine layer of medium first and let it dry completely before you start adding paint, glitter and what ever you desire, would it be more successful? Thank you for sharing.

@bettyfreckles that's a brilliant idea. Thanks, and let me know how it goes. I will try it as well.

I've made acrylic skins using leveling gel and twirled the color in using a toothpick. I'm just curious if pouring medium is similar? I put the leveling gel onto a Silpat type mat, and it peels right off the next day. I do really like your circles, though!

Yes, the pouring medium is similar. Using the lids gives you a shape, whereas the mats will be very thin. You could cut a shape after, but I find this faster.
