Timber! High reach demolition excavator topples a column at night

Seen from above as a high reach #demolition #excavator topples the last standing column of a concrete building being demolished, at night. The honking you hear is from drivers impatient that they held up traffic while doing it. You can also see a pedestrian ignoring the traffic controllers and walking by obliviously.

This demolition has nothing to do with the original hotel demolition that this channel originally extensively covered, but it still seemed appropriate for this channel anyway, and was only a block away. This demolition takes place in central San Francisco.

The column landed on the high reach, if you look closely you can see as it hits the ground the side opposite of the cab gets hit. Which is why all the workers come run ingredients towards the machine.

It didn’t hit the cab, it hit the other side of the arm, where the steps and AdBlue tank is. Bet it made a mess though.
