Hi I like this machine. There are 2 things that come to mind. 1- Your arm reach is too far and uncomfortable and 2 pushing the right foot will not change the direction. I noticed that on take off.
This looks so easy and just sort of intuitive as far as control. I guess just having good throttle response is key. My lifelong fascination with flight looks a bit more doable
I’d want a front pole on that and double up on the side wires, but it’s a nice machine and flies well. Should be full power on climb out and holding the centre line of the runway, it looked like he backed off the power a bit and lost height and he drifted right.
Hi Mate.. I have suggestion for you.. For front directional wheels .. do some adjustment like .. when you are airborne they should get lock infront direction... this will help you to push them properly to get more control on glider.. our brain do lot correction due to Muscle memory
YOU HAVE A SELF START !!!! WWWOOOWW . I learnt to fly in a very similar trike way back on 1989 ... oh yes no self and nothing LOL... You really have to push hard forward to climb .... thats like a full stretch .... GREAT STUFF ... light as ever ...lots of fun ...
Looks like it would be fun and if it runs out of gas just coast in for a landing! cool to see the shadow it cast on the ground below. looks like some shocks would help a lot on the landing.
!You have two big loads at both ends..THe wing and on the other side, you & the engine. In the middle you have a single piece of aluminum!? Plus its drilled in the middle and has a guide wire to it? Yikes. Too much stress from wind, could snap that part right in the center. Maybe add another brace, to help with the load & wind.? IMO It's too risky for catastrophe or a serious life long injury & regret.
im looking at the electric nano trike it looks more dependable and with some creativity it could fly for hours with little issue and charge up solar so fuel would be non existent

Yes... It's a very solid built. Maybe even to solid. ;-) I believe that without an electrical starter and with a little bit less massive built one could easily save 10, or even 15 kg. Never than less, great job!
@@rzem67 the original version (the trike in the vid) is calle a trikesoarus. I think it is now called a Raven trike. There is a guy that build an even better trike called the Zee. They are super lightweight and can collapse to fit into the back of your car. It also featured at Oshkosk air show a few years back. You can but only the trike and fit it with your choise of a tandem hang glider wing. In terms of dollar value you might find it very reasonably priced. Have a look at www.wild2fly.co.za. I dont have plans for this trike...but I did measure ot up to reverse engineer a few parts that was worn.

It's like riding a bike in the air. Lean to the side you want to turn basically.
Landings need some concentration though

Put a cage and netting between you and the prop before you take a bird strike and the propeller comes apart it happens Quite often

It soars beautifully, especially on ridges, but one can thermal with it as well. It's very twitchy in rough weather and not advised.

It's a tiny two-stroke engine, so 2 gal/hour is a very generous estimate. You sooner get tired(or hungry) up there before running out of fuel. 😃

Electric flying still isn't there yet. At the moment you end up paying more for significantly shorter operation times.

Trike is designed to be able to glide without an engine power so if the engine shut down you just have to find an open field for emergency landing.
