Shurmur isn’t gonna run a full scale NFL offense, he’ll definitely include a lot of college concepts. Bill O’Brien didn’t run his NFL offense in college. The guys at this level, be you at Oregon, Georgia, Colorado, NC State, Abilene Christian, wherever.. not all of them can handle those long play calls. Most of these kids will never play on Sunday. You gotta meet the kids where they’re at, and give them what they can handle. Make no mistake about it, this offense is gonna be built around Shedeurs strengths. Shurmur wont try and mold Shedeur to his offense, he’s gonna mold his offense to Shedeur.
Because Shurmur himself said he is going to run the "Lewis offense" due to the fact that as usual a bunch of dudes left and new ones came and they need to keep it simple for a Qb that will do only what he wants to do anyway

It amazes me how much conversation national outlets have & are spending talking about CP informing players that they probably or definitely won't play at CU when this goes on at all programs; however, we don't see these coaches & former players being given national attention. I ask the question, why is this being highlighted for CU & CP, or are folks trying to paint a narrative? Just something to ponder.

North Dakota state is usually underrated and always good for upsets.
NDSU is the best team in FCS and would beat the worse teams in FBS. they’d beat Stanford, Sacramento State beat Stanford last year. Colorado didn’t. don’t underestimate the FCS powerhouses, just saying

The players brought in from the transfer portal at Colorado are an exceptional upgrade from last year’s team at all positions except quarterback. The success of their season rests upon keeping Shedeur upright and healthy, giving him time to throw. The improvements to the offensive line should allow this to happen. The running game will also be better than last year because of the incoming backs and again, an improved offensive line. The Colorado defense should also be improved over last year’s defense. There has also been an improvement in the coaching staff. Because of these upgrades, Colorado will challenge for the Big 12 championship and qualify for a major Bowl game! Coach Prime will also be a contender for Big 12 Coach of the Year! If all of these predictions come true Shedeur Sanders will win the Heisman trophy and Davey O’BRIEN award! BOOK IT!

These guys don’t understand. The offensive line collapsed at Oregon and never returned. Partly due to them being not very good and mostly depth issues from injuries. This made the RPO impossible to run which killed Sean Lewis’s offense. The trenches are improved on both sides + quality depth. They also got better in the secondary and receiver room. Better running back room. More experienced starters. Better offensive coaches. Defense coaching will be the question. Are they thinking the schedule is that much worse? I just don’t get how they win the same or less games.
they have zero shot at winning more than 5. the entire class was a bunch of 3 stars and a few low grade 4 stars. and most of the team has never played together or under that system. using this formula will never result in success. period. yall take that as hate because you are in a cult. but they a reason why everyone in college football almost universally is saying this same exact thing and it aint cause of hate. its because its fact. you know who doesnt recruit like dieon? nick saban, Kirby Smart, Jim Harbaugh. the 2 best recruiters ever in college football and the last guy to win the natty. how many nattys dieon got or how many players has he put in the draft? the answer is the same on both, ZERO. and programs like bama and georgia can have good players transfer out because they stacked with great 4 and 5 stars. dieon isnt like that so a decent 3 star leaving him is cause for concern. he has a D+ roster right now.
Prime is only going into the second season at Colorado. NONE OF THE COACHES YOU REFERENCED WON IN THEIR FIRST YEAR! There has been remarkable upgrades in talent and coaching over last year. Success in this first year in the Big 12 will go a long way towards continuing to strengthen and build the program. Comparing a rebuilding Colorado to Alabama, Georgia, and Michigan is off base. IT TOOK YEARS FOR THESE PROGRAMS TO WIN UNDER THESE COACHES!!

If it was 7v7, Colorado would be National Champs. If Coach Sanders is getting the “jimmy’s and joes” like he says he is, then it has to be the coaching, and the X’s and O’s have to improve.

There was no back and forth with a former DB from CU on Twitter. The player from a losing 2022 team, was interviewed by The Athletic to paint CU's coach in a negative light. The Athletic put the quote out Shedeur and Prime , along with multiple current CU players responded after being constantly bashed online.

@coachhunter4463 Actually, I thought Prime was brilliant in his approach. CU was so bad when he got there that he had to turn over the roster. It took systemic and cultural changes to get it on the right path. In this chat, I predicted CU anywhere between 4-7 games. I think that is fair. CU o/u is 5.5 and Nebraska o/u is 7.5. They have 80% of their defense returning that was top 11 in the country, a 4 star RB from Oregon, a couple of pretty good WR transfers, and a 5 star QB. Last year they were close to leading the country in turnovers, and did not force many. They also have depth, many players returning, and have filled in some holes as needed. They are also healthy, as last year they weren't. I think NU will surprise people this year.

Do these men know anything about football? Nebraska had 4 chances against weak teams to qualify for a bowl game and failed. The current backup is very good at Colorado. Had a fine game in his only start at Utah. Dylan Edwards is a fine player but is not a run between the tackles guy and that MUST change this year. I agree that Deion made mistakes, but he won 4 games against coaches who also made mistakes. Matt Rhule made just as many in his late season 4 game losing streak that was never mentioned in this story about how good the Children of the Corn will be this year.
