The MPG is all based on how you drive. I’ve gotten my c63 6.3L to 17.6 mpg on a road trip. Mercedes says 16mpg. It’s possible. However I have also gotten 7.9mph so... yea. Also, you should never have to even touch the key. Everything is keyless.
Dominic Campanella I think this car gets good mpg for its speed and engine size because of Mercedes technology. I have a keyless Mercedes AMG as well but I still use the key... especially sometime your passenger doesn’t get out of the car quickly enough so you have to wait for them before you can lock the door. Or use the remote key to lock while walking away
Virakyuth Tha yea that is true. I use the key sometimes as well. However, you are required to anymore.
I can 'squeeze' 20 to 21local out of my c63 if i'm careful. on a run I can get 24, if I drive in a 'more spirited style' under 10 is possible on 100 octane.

i got 23,5 mpg in stuttgart traffic with my bosses c63 amg estate - since they use the same enginge and are roughly equal in weight: yeah its possible if you drive it like a granny.

I have seen that number plate on your E63s since delivery. I live in The Netherlands, but I sure do recognise number plates, especially from Europe not recognise this one, is it a temporary German licence plate or is it something American or international?
Vincent I think it’s a German export plate. Marchettino has them on his M3.
Pasquale yes, but that is where temporary plates are for. Thought I seen them before when someone imported a car from Sweden or Norway (idk, get confused between those two) to The Netherlands, although it is all EU, and he drove from there, he did have temporary plates which were not the standard country's plates
Yes, German temporarily export registration. Well, actually it's expired since 2017/12/23.
So then what would you suggest for the businessman who wants a fast Mercedes, or BMW/Audi, but only unleashes the vehicle's full power occasionally?

It is a great car I agree. Here in Australia they are around the 200k mark for the S but it is a great car. The camera button is on the ideal side for me, but I want the opposite. I hate having the other buttons on the other side as they are the ones I prefer. Going through the menu for sport mode etc. The only thing I would say is the front camera is not that big of an issue, if you have a car you should know how to park it and judge. You shouldn’t need a camera showing you how close you are to objects either side of the car you should know if you are to close or not lol. Even the reverse camera is something that whilst I know it is there obviously it is habit for me to look out the windows and mirrors. I rarely Wiley look at the camera
I stopped after complaint number #1, too heavy at 4,515lbs and your recommendation to drop the weight by 200-300lbs. Not only is that less than 7% of the total weight which is pretty insignificant, but you're also driving a sedan designed to carry people in the back seat each will likely weigh about 100-150lbs. That complaint makes no sense...

How does this stack up against the Cadillac CTS-V? I know the V is cheaper, but it competes in the same class, so I'd say it's fair.
Wait till your cooling pipes towards your turbos start to leak becoz they will get small tiny holes in it caused by static electrictricity inside the cooling system
#6 it defaults back to comfort mode, exhaust valves closed when you turn it off, and turn it back on :(

Its not slower than the m5. Parker even tested it to be faster. Regardless the difference in speed is incredibly tiny. Having a way better interior and way better exhaust note is much better than a negligible small difference in speed. So he is not selling the car.....he made that very clear multiple times.

Dominic Campanella Quality of materials in Bmw's is known to be way better than Merc... With the that m parts exhaust it actualy sounds better than this. Altho thats quite pricey. The interior only looks bettet in the Mercedes but Bmw's is by far more practical. I think both cars have their ups and downs and it only comes down to personal preference. My choice would be the M5.

piquetuk that’s why there isn’t a CLS 63. This is pretty much a CLS 63 with a different name. This thing is a flop and definitely not what people wanted. The Porsche is still ahead.
If we're getting on to Porsche then yes Panamera Turbo SE Sport Turismo in crayon with black roof & wheels would be my choice over either of the Mercs but to my eyes every iteration of the CLS has got uglier, the new one being the worst offender. For me they should have dropped the CLS & just gone with the GT 4 door but I know that doesn't fit with the new AMG top of the range ethos. Apart from the engine choices Mercedes appears to be stepping on it's own toes in this segment. As for it being a flop most of the YT reviews were oohing & aahing over it I don't know what makes you say that, also I haven't actually seen either car in the flesh yet so final verdict to come. These German export license plates are valid for about a year in the country you are exporting it to. The car just needs to be out of Germany by this date otherwise you drive without insurance. So it doesn't really matter...
I had the same plates with the same red background and the expiration date is the date that is writen there so you are kind of wrong. Maybe is a different law in the U.S. :) .

I chose E43 for the interior color options with the red seat belt. I chose the standard seats because I think they are better than the amg performance seats. I wish I could get the matte black rims but didn’t have that option. I hate the arm console on Mercedes, designed for looks but practicality is better on so many other cars

The ‘weight issue’ doesn’t effect performance at all the e63s still hits 0-60 in 3.4 secs, it might be heavy but it still moves!

Eventus Vantos well looks are subjective and the exhaust note is great on both cars
he did 0-60 in a downhill. the m5 was tested by official magazins to 2,8 sec. in reviews like (Car wow, top gear, the grand tour, my car and so on ) said the normal 5 series has way better quality interior ( leather dashboard and center console standard for example ) and better to drive and so on. so the M5 should just be even better then the e63

13:15 min- on the red part of the number plate it says 22/12/17, so if it s a provisional german number plate, i think it is expired on 22 of december 2017... in Europe if you drive a car with expired number plates you will be in a lot of trouble... maybe you didn t noticed... check your car papperwork on that...

In Denmark where I live, this car would be at least 350.000 usd, because of taxes. If you lived in DK you would have to settle for a used E350 d (2016) for the same price you've paid for a brand new AMG :) It is absolutely insane!
