Did you have any issue after updating to android 13 and miui 14? I do, I can't call any number only the number that previously called me. It's weird and happens all the times
The majority of the point given to the 5g variant is with startup times for apps and games But the problem is the difference is so small that it could more likely be blamed on whoever is tapping the screen. More likely human error The difference is negligible
My thoughts too. I thing he tapped faster on the 5G. also in other comparison tests I have seen they put them as equal for so tiny differences.... I go with better price...
Thank you as I was undecided what version to buy. On the speed test it's only a fraction difference and that does not bother me, the 4G version has a far better screen, brighter with more vibrant colours, would make videos and movies more enjoyable, The camera comparison gave the 4G 108mp the edge, the selfie camera was better with deeper colours whereas the 5G seemed overly bright and washed out. yes I think I will get the 4G version. 👍
@@Wondobar I have had a 5G phone for 4 years and i have never ever used 5G once. In fact, the tech is flawed, the signals range too short... so I don't see it taking off anytime soon... @@Wondobar Of course. If you have five Snickers bars, you have more than your friend who only has four Snickers bars. So five MUST be better. Also, if your Snickers bars have a new font on the wrapper, they must taste better than the Snickers bars sold in the old wrappers used to taste. It's just common sense. Than again, maybe ... just MAYBE ... some tech upgrades are bullshit. Like when Apple has a gigantic launch to announce the release of an iPhone in a new colour. Or worse, when they release a new version of the iPhone that lacks a crucial feature, like a connector you need, and so you need to go out and buy new peripherals or adaptors fall in line with their latest grift. The Redmi company are new to me, so I don't know if they're a bunch of shady-ass criminals kept afloat largely by deceptive marketing, like Apple are. But in the actual demonstration video here, I don't see a lot of difference between the two phones. For that reason, I don't think I can go with the "five is a bigger number than four, and five is newer than four, so five is obviously better" argument here. I think I'll stick with my boring-ass critical thinking and empirical observation, if that's ok with you. ;-)
well not rlly the 5g has the sony imx used in flagships that also has ois so generaly in photography you get less photo noise and faster shutter speed as well as more realistic colors and textures so buy the 5g version instead.
30 usd difference in my country, the pro 5g is a way better phone with its better specs (dimensity 1080 > old sd 732g), better camera(has ois and megapixels don't determine the quality of pictures), and better battery effiency (the 5g's chipset consumes not much power), and better connectivity (has 5g and wifi 6)
If the camera, performance, gaming, connectivity, and design are more important to you, then choose the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G. But if the battery life is more of a priority - go for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro.
The video keeps giving points to the 5G phone when the 4G phone 'wins'. Like the 4G phone is opening stuff faster than the 5G one is, but the 5G one gets a point. Am I the only one who's noticing that? It's weird ... and a little bit creepy, tbh.
Maybe the 5G was faster opening those apps because it is featuring Android 12. I would've liked to see that comparison having them both the same android version. But it was a good comparison. Thanks
its not 1 sec difference when it comes to heavy load and rendering the 5g takes a win aboit 5-7 seconds faster same goes for gaming performance the 4g doesnt have enough cpu power to run genshin impact at over 30-27 frames.
I've recently bought this phone, and am quite satisfied with most of it's features such as: very good speakers, good performance for tasks such as watching videos, playing games (although i haven't played really demanding games yet). However, there is something about this phone that I have noticed which is really odd. I have previously used phones with LCD displays and have never had issues when it comes to scrolling, and this is the first time owning a phone with an AMOLED display, which, by the way, looks really good. I have noticed that the AOD is not always on, perhaps I have to tweak some settings, but that is besides the main point of this comment. The problem with this phone is scrolling. I am not sure if i am overexaggerating or not, but when you scroll, text becomes blurry and leaves a trail behind, even if you are not scrolling really fast. I am not sure if this is a software or hardware issue, but I am hoping that is is software and that it could be fixed, because otherwise it really detracts from using a phone for one of the basic tasks such as scrolling. Setting the display refresh rate to 120Hz does seem to help a bit, but it is far from a solution for me because I am used to 60Hz and 120Hz drains battery very fast, and I am not really satisfied with battery life even with 60Hz. I have started noticing this problem after updating to the latest MIUI version, which is 14.0.2.0 as of now, but I am not sure whether or not this issue was present since I've unboxed the phone and turned it on for the first time. I would like to know if someone has experienced something like this as well so that I can figure out if there is a way to fix this, as scrolling experience is really unenjoyable currently. I am even thinking about installing a custom rom if it would help but I would rather postpone that and not wipe all of my data for nothing. I would also like to add that I have noticed the exact same behaviour with Redmi note 11 pro 5G, so I don't think that both of those phones have a faulty display. All in all, any input for why this happens is appreciated, I am trying to find a way to make the scrolling experience as good as I can, but so far haven't found much that would be of use to me. Maybe this is just the way AMOLED displays are and it takes time to get used to that display behaviour?
