The Enchantments August 2019

Compilation of our epic and deathly trip to The Enchantments.
We won the lottery to set up at Stuart Lake as our base camp.
Day 1: 5 miles to get to Stuart Lake from the trailhead
Day 2: overall hiked a little more than 19 miles for 20 hours to get into the core of the Enchantments and back to base camp. Woke up around 4AM, started our morning with one pack of instant oatmeal. Left base camp 6AM and did not return until 2:30AM the following day. Survived off of two tortillas each with peanut butter/honey spread, 1 apple, water, and a handful of chewy bars/cliff bars/gel blocks. Glad to be alive.
Day 3: hiked 5 miles back to the trailhead.
