Ateez is from a small company so groups who come from a small company tend to not make it as big as groups from big companies. Big companies being the big 4 SM (nct exo redvelvet), YG (blackpink), JYPE (straykids, got7), bighit (bts txt). Ateez regardless of being from neither somehow has had a decent amount of success because of the unique start they had with the amount of attention they got for their performance videos predebut that went viral. It went so viral that they are the first and only group who sold out a world tour months after debut. They have a pretty decent international fanbase whereas domestically they're barely starting to get a bit of recognition. Due to the amount of success they've had even though they're from a small company they get a lot of hate for it. A lot of people hold prejudice in the kpop community which I don't really want to get into but ateez has gone against those prejudices hence why they get a lot of hate. They've grown organically and a lot of people don't like that they didn't fall off like they expected them to and I think that's why the fans that they have tend to ride real hard for them and have such a sweet and soft spot for them because they see that the kpop community tends to be very nasty towards ateez. So to answer your question whether they're one of the top groups, yes, sorta but because they're not from a big company they have to work a bit harder and tend to get played by the industry and as I said hate from the kpop community. They're between underrated but they're also not idk as I said ateez is a pretty unique group with a unique situation. Ateez have a crazy huge story line so no fans could really tell you exactly what everything in their mv's mean. IIRC one of their producers said that if this was a movie we would not even be 15 minutes in. Seriously people won't be able to explain. Ateez have a lot of fans (very good fans called Atiny) but I would still say they are a little underrated but it's hard to compare and give a definite answer. Thanxx is one of my favorite songs by them and it's so good. Ateez debuted two years ago but their members are so talented ( age range 1998-2000). Ah Ateez..my boys Ateez. They are Number ONE in my kpop loving heart. There's just something different about them. They can go from a badass concept (Hala Hala/Say my Name/ Wonderland/Thanks) to a cute one (Illusion/Wave/Promise) to a nostalgic one (Answer/Utopia/Inception/Aurora/Treasure). In short, they are awesome. Their production team is amazing too because no matter what concept this group tries they always sound uniquely like Ateez Please listen to Thanxx. As kpop fan since 2008, there are what you call generations in kpop. The 1st generation, without international exposure hailed around the early 90's to early 2000's then come the 2nd generation which roughly started from 2003 til 2011 and pretty much paved the way to global recognition. EXO belongs to the 3rd gen since they started around 2012, and NCT's coming from late 3rd gen going to 4th since they debuted in 2016 and is continuously expanding with 127, Dream and WayV as Sub-Units. Let's just say that Ateez is a 4th Gen Kpop group, they're working their way up, like internationally they already have a growing fanbase, since kpop is already globalized, However in Korea, it's not much but again these boys are on their way towards gaining local fans. They sold a million albums last summer, They are the fastest rookie group to have a sold out concert tour ever and were supposed to have another sold out concert tour (100,000>) last year but this was postponed.

OMG if you check "KQ FELLAZ" series you should check "Code name is ATEEZ" too! They've been praised by profesionals since pre-debut! ATEEZ is my favourite Kpop group and I listen to Kpop since 2012! They are just so unique, special and amazing people as well! Also their discography is a MASTERPIECE, their storyline is the most interesting thing I have ever seen in music, and last but not least their - Live Performances are CRAZY! They are one of the best performers out there!!!
ateez are from a relatively small company, and honestly they hit the Kpop community like a storm, everyone was pretty shocked by their debut as well as their dance cover videos (which u should check out btw!) so they grew their international fan base pretty quickly, their first tour was sold out which is insane for rookies! I got to see them preform live fortunately and they are just as insane live as they are in the videos ! their definitely a group u have to see preform at least once! I think that’s what makes them my favorite group! edit: also, ateez are one of those all rounder groups who do something different with each album yet it’s still their sound! they always experiment yet create some bangers, it may be because I’m biased but they’re just a group u can’t get tired of
I think why I like this song is that it's haunting, beautiful and emotional at the same time. The song swells and crashes and just sweeps you up in the song as a whole. I would recommend listening to just the instrumental (plus the backing vocals) and you'll hear so many elements in the music that'll make you realize why you love it so much!
They are relatively new, debuted 24 October 2018, compared to BTS, 8 years on 13 June. They don't seem to do as well in S.Korea as a lot of the other groups (in chart voting/ranking) but Internationally they are very popular. I think they could be really big, they are very unique, don't fit the mold.
Ateez used to be super underdogs but last year they really had their breakthrough year so where they are now part of the bigger groups lineups! They have a solid fanbase now. GOD ATEEZ ARE ART!!! Ateez has a very intricate story line where they started as pirates on a journey to find their treasure. Treasure is a variety of things but it does relate to their desire to be artists known around the world. Inception is based off the movie Inception which is dreams within dreams. In Wave you will find references of a sleeping state. Seongwha is asleep and someone says Open your eyes. Long story short, there are various versions of Ateez . It's why you will see the Hala Hala Ateez at times. Inception represents each member's life. The feathers you saw floating was because the doves were set free and Yeosang was "set free". He came from a very strict household that did not want him to be an idol. To pursue it, he had to pursue music lessons thus in Inception, he has the violin. Seo had all the post it notes because he's very set in some ways and those notes kind of represents tasks or things that he holds himself to so in Inception there was a line he was standing behind in front of the store which implies don't cross this line, yet he steps over it. So not to turn this into a book, the scenes pertain to the members.
THANXX is absoLUTELY a banger. All of their MVs are worth checking out. ATEEZ is decently popular but most certainly under-recognized. People who know them, love them, but not many people know them.i think they have about 1/2 or 1/4 of the amount of fans as groups from bigger entertainment companies, but they are definitely getting there.
I think the reason why inception slapped so hard for yall was because of the feeling the song and their performance gives you. Ateez with every song are incredibly emotional, passionate and always giving their 110%. This song is full of relatable emotions and that desperation / frustration that comes with love but also other things (song can be interpreted in many ways). Another thing really cool about Inception is are the references to the actual movie and the intensity that the movie gave the audience members (getting so developed into something that you find yourself lost or in limbo; really spectacular). I love Inception and felt it was released at the right at time considering the Treasure series had ended and we were going back in time where things were more elevated in terms of feelings and hardships. Everything about Inception is pure, raw emotion from the angelic vocals, to the facial expression, and the smooth but powerful dancing. Inception along with Say my Name and Answer are for me 100% top they are close to perfect, if not PERFECT song by ATEEZ. They never fail to disappoint. Awesome reaction! Can't wait to see more Ateez from yall ❤ PS: Ateez = organic growth. They captured international audiences and did a world tour just a couple months after debut so their success is 1000000% deserved but I will say they are HELLA underrated in their home country Korea. Yay on Thanxx. I'm an older Kpop stan (42 yrs old, this year). I started listening in 2011 and the group that I really loved was B.A.P. Unfortunately, they are no longer active as they left their company due to ill management, etc (a whole story). When Ateez came around, they were in a sense similar to B.A.P. in that their music can touch different genres of music. The instrumentals, especially on their B-side tracks, are unique. All the members can dance, sing, and rap. Their stage presence is at such a high level all of the time even during practices. You can see it in their faces. They have been known to really think of and interact with their fans (Atiny = Ateez + Destiny). Their leader, Hongjoong, is definitely an appreciator and lover of the arts. He creates and styles clothing, writes songs for the group, and has some covers that he's done of older music like George Michael's Last Christmas, Linkin Park's Numb, David Bowe's Space Oddity, and Prince's Purple Rain.
The great thing about this track are the melodies. So catchy and kind of soothing one's soul. Not many songs truly touch like this. "Thanxx" is also good and a bit harder. For this comeback people were able to vote (again) for the lead single. "Inception" won.
ateez have such an incredibly versatile discography. they're known for their amazing performace and stage presence, but they honestly have one of the best vocal lines i've seen in a while. about their popularity, they're... interesting. globally they BLEW up right off the bat, sold out a world tour only 4 months after debut. however they're not too big in korea because the gp don't pay much attention to groups from smaller companies. that's why they got their "global rookie" nickname. though i have to say their growth has been just unbelievable; they debuted on october 2018 selling 400 albums in the first day, and on their latest comeback (july 2020) they sold 100k if you want more songs to listen to, answer is similar to this in the sense that it's an absolutely gorgeous song, wave and illusion are more fun ones and wonderland is an absolute banger ^__^ they're actually having a comeback in march btw!!
At first I was a little surprised that i was SO attracted to ateez music, they had a completely different style than what I was used to, later i discovered that it was not just the style, all songs have something that catches you at first, for me were wonderland and twillight. They have a different aura to the rest of Korean groups of these times. Maybe the storyline has a lot to do with it, waiting for another comeback is constantly wondering what the next page of the book will be, the story is simply incredible and their music is always refreshing, never the same, this is ATEEZ!

The thing I like about ateez is that they are not afraid to try out difference sounds! Inception is different from their typical title tracks. Also if you listen to their music you can hear cool sounds in the background. The drums in inception are my favorite!

We have already entered the 4th generation of kpop and in my opinion, ATEEZ is up there on Top 3 among the best 4th gen groups. When they came to L.A. in May 2018 they were still trainees and they were known as KQ Fellaz. There are 4 preformance videos for KQ Fellaz - 3 with all 8 members and 1 with just Yunho (the main/lead dancer of Ateez) with some of the dancers from Millennium Dance Complex.
ATEEZ is their own genre. They can pull off so many different types of songs. Their comeback is March 1 and should be a continuation of Thanxx and Answer and we may get some answers to the man in white. But knowing ATEEZ, we will just be left with more questions. LOL

I was REALLY addicted to their first album & overplayed it cus it was different & I'm a percussion freak. I'm one of those persons who sang in the Symphony for years just because I was addicted to that spot...RIGHT behind the timpani & all the percussion. Holy snap when we performed Carmina the percussion section ALONE was over 30 instruments strong! After rehearsal I texted my friend (I knew was coming) "For real...is your pacemaker going to be Ok?" 😌 But yes they're a nice group & do have a good story. But didn't grip me nearly as hard as a certain other group because Ateez hasn't been around that long yet...they're still "polishing." ATEEZ is my favourite Kpop group and I listen to Kpop since 2012! They are just so unique, special and amazing people as well!
Also their discography is a MASTERPIECE, their storyline is the most interesting thing I have ever seen in music, and last but not least their - Live Performances are CRAZY! They are one of the best performers out there!!!
ateez are from a relatively small company, and honestly they hit the Kpop community like a storm, everyone was pretty shocked by their debut as well as their dance cover videos (which u should check out btw!) so they grew their international fan base pretty quickly, their first tour was sold out which is insane for rookies! I got to see them preform live fortunately and they are just as insane live as they are in the videos ! their definitely a group u have to see preform at least once! I think that’s what makes them my favorite group!
edit: also, ateez are one of those all rounder groups who do something different with each album yet it’s still their sound! they always experiment yet create some bangers, it may be because I’m biased but they’re just a group u can’t get tired of

I think why I like this song is that it's haunting, beautiful and emotional at the same time. The song swells and crashes and just sweeps you up in the song as a whole. I would recommend listening to just the instrumental (plus the backing vocals) and you'll hear so many elements in the music that'll make you realize why you love it so much!
They are relatively new, debuted 24 October 2018, compared to BTS, 8 years on 13 June. They don't seem to do as well in S.Korea as a lot of the other groups (in chart voting/ranking) but Internationally they are very popular. I think they could be really big, they are very unique, don't fit the mold.
Ateez used to be super underdogs but last year they really had their breakthrough year so where they are now part of the bigger groups lineups! They have a solid fanbase now. GOD ATEEZ ARE ART!!! Inception has a sort of epic nostalgic sound. That’s why it’s hard to explain why we love it because it just hits something to us that’s nostalgic.
But yes Ateez has one of the coolest storylines ever 🖤🖤🖤

ateez are very underrated!! their fan base is much bigger internationally than in korea. they are from a very small company so considering what they are achieving now they are doing so well for themselves!! they were known as rookie monsters for their first 2 years because of their fierce and powerful performances :) you should definitely check out their songs/mvs thanxx, aurora and wonderland!! i really hope you dive into ateez because they deserve so much more recognition than what they get :(

Ateez has a very intricate story line where they started as pirates on a journey to find their treasure. Treasure is a variety of things but it does relate to their desire to be artists known around the world. Inception is based off the movie Inception which is dreams within dreams. In Wave you will find references of a sleeping state. Seongwha is asleep and someone says Open your eyes. Long story short, there are various versions of Ateez . It's why you will see the Hala Hala Ateez at times. Inception represents each member's life. The feathers you saw floating was because the doves were set free and Yeosang was "set free". He came from a very strict household that did not want him to be an idol. To pursue it, he had to pursue music lessons thus in Inception, he has the violin. Seo had all the post it notes because he's very set in some ways and those notes kind of represents tasks or things that he holds himself to so in Inception there was a line he was standing behind in front of the store which implies don't cross this line, yet he steps over it. So not to turn this into a book, the scenes pertain to the members.

THANXX is absoLUTELY a banger. All of their MVs are worth checking out. ATEEZ is decently popular but most certainly under-recognized. People who know them, love them, but not many people know them.i think they have about 1/2 or 1/4 of the amount of fans as groups from bigger entertainment companies, but they are definitely getting there.

I think the reason why inception slapped so hard for yall was because of the feeling the song and their performance gives you. Ateez with every song are incredibly emotional, passionate and always giving their 110%. This song is full of relatable emotions and that desperation / frustration that comes with love but also other things (song can be interpreted in many ways). Another thing really cool about Inception is are the references to the actual movie and the intensity that the movie gave the audience members (getting so developed into something that you find yourself lost or in limbo; really spectacular). I love Inception and felt it was released at the right at time considering the Treasure series had ended and we were going back in time where things were more elevated in terms of feelings and hardships. Everything about Inception is pure, raw emotion from the angelic vocals, to the facial expression, and the smooth but powerful dancing. Inception along with Say my Name and Answer are for me 100% top they are close to perfect, if not PERFECT song by ATEEZ. They never fail to disappoint. Awesome reaction! Can't wait to see more Ateez from yall ❤
PS: Ateez = organic growth. They captured international audiences and did a world tour just a couple months after debut so their success is 1000000% deserved but I will say they are HELLA underrated in their home country Korea. Lots of people turn an eye at them and its truly a shame bc these boys got so much sauce!!

Yay on Thanxx. I'm an older Kpop stan (42 yrs old, this year). I started listening in 2011 and the group that I really loved was B.A.P. Unfortunately, they are no longer active as they left their company due to ill management, etc (a whole story). When Ateez came around, they were in a sense similar to B.A.P. in that their music can touch different genres of music. The instrumentals, especially on their B-side tracks, are unique. All the members can dance, sing, and rap. Their stage presence is at such a high level all of the time even during practices. You can see it in their faces. They have been known to really think of and interact with their fans (Atiny = Ateez + Destiny). Their leader, Hongjoong, is definitely an appreciator and lover of the arts. He creates and styles clothing, writes songs for the group, and has some covers that he's done of older music like George Michael's Last Christmas, Linkin Park's Numb, David Bowe's Space Oddity, and Prince's Purple Rain.

ateez have such an incredibly versatile discography. they're known for their amazing performace and stage presence, but they honestly have one of the best vocal lines i've seen in a while. about their popularity, they're... interesting. globally they BLEW up right off the bat, sold out a world tour only 4 months after debut. however they're not too big in korea because the gp don't pay much attention to groups from smaller companies. that's why they got their "global rookie" nickname. though i have to say their growth has been just unbelievable; they debuted on october 2018 selling 400 albums in the first day, and on their latest comeback (july 2020) they sold 100k
if you want more songs to listen to, answer is similar to this in the sense that it's an absolutely gorgeous song, wave and illusion are more fun ones and wonderland is an absolute banger ^__^ they're actually having a comeback in march btw!!

At first I was a little surprised that i was SO attracted to ateez music, they had a completely different style than what I was used to, later i discovered that it was not just the style, all songs have something that catches you at first, for me were wonderland and twillight.
They have a different aura to the rest of Korean groups of these times.
Maybe the storyline has a lot to do with it, waiting for another comeback is constantly wondering what the next page of the book will be, the story is simply incredible and their music is always refreshing, never the same, this is ATEEZ!

The thing I like about ateez is that they are not afraid to try out difference sounds! Inception is different from their typical title tracks. Also if you listen to their music you can hear cool sounds in the background. The drums in inception are my favorite!

ATEEZ Discography is simply sooo good! Their music really stood out from the rest just because they are not doing what everybody else is doing!
We have already entered the 4th generation of kpop and in my opinion, ATEEZ is up there on Top 3 among the best 4th gen groups. They have a global fanbase but still are underrated (probably because they are from a small company, but KQ is really doing the BEST JOB in promoting them). :)

I was REALLY addicted to their first album & overplayed it cus it was different & I'm a percussion freak. I'm one of those persons who sang in the Symphony for years just because I was addicted to that spot...RIGHT behind the timpani & all the percussion. Holy snap when we performed Carmina the percussion section ALONE was over 30 instruments strong! After rehearsal I texted my friend (I knew was coming)

But yes they're a nice group & do have a good story. But didn't grip me nearly as hard as a certain other group because Ateez hasn't been around that long yet...they're still "polishing." And I've met the group who originally beat them when they competed together...also fire with an incredible story, you haven't seen yet. But you will so NOT telling you!!! Yes inception is a sensual banger. If you like the SMN + Hala Hala combo, you'll love Win (the fellowship tour live version), Wonderland, Thanxx, Precious (no mv). If you're looking for something like Inception, I definitely recommend Answer! Most of your storyline questions might make sense if you watch Answer MV, that song still gives me goosebumps even after a year!

Ateez were still rookies in kpop when inception and thanxxs came out there next album they won't be rookies anymore but more like the newer rookies coming out looking up to them. They debuted in 2019 and are really underrated. They have more of a international fan base than in korea.
