I love the fact that he slows his words and enunciates clearly so that we can catch what he says.
agree
This is the most useful video about introduction in Japanese out of the many I've seen over the years! Thank you!
I agree
Same. Kind of sad in my case... been learning for almost 3 years and never used a native into and non textbook... :/ a shame on me
@@Ekairah then more I see, the more I hate textbooks...
agree
Just like English learners always say:
Hi, how are you?
I’m fine, and you?
I’m fine, thank you.
This is so truuueeee
It’s definitely a bit far off from what’s typical. A bit lacking in content.
What I would consider typical:
“Hello. How are you?”
“I’m doing alright. It’s xyz season, y’know?”
“Right, right.”
“Tough, yeah. What about you?”
“Nothing in particular’s going on, so I’m good.”
When in reality, it's like:
Person A: Sup
Person B: Aye
Person A: Chur name?
Person B: Brad. Chu?
Person A: Alex.
@@HOPPIRI lmao thats so true
I’m fine, and you?
I’m fine, and you?
I’m fine, and you?
I’m fine, and you?
I’m fine, and you?
Akkie is my favourite person to listen to speak Japanese. I know a lot of people have complimented how clearly he speaks before, but it's that he speaks clearly while also sounding very natural. When you listen to Listening Comprehension Tests, they often don't sound natural, and I think that makes them harder to understand. They don't sound human. Whereas, I could listen to Akkie speak all day and understand way more about what he's saying. Thanks for another great video!
i really laughed at the beginning it is exactly the way i learnt to introduce myself in school. thank you for this useful video!
Your first impression was so unnatural 🤣🤣
@@chocho6766 what do you mean?
Now I realize, I am a ふしぜん人 😂
Just Nivek I was cracking up! This is the way every Japanese class tells you to introduce yourself! Thank God for UA-cam videos like this!
Same though!!
I'm a Japanese
I don't know why this video was recommended
Is there anything wrong?
So that you can introduce yourself in Japanese correctly?
Min Suga's Natural Hair Is Daebak That's right!!hah
Francis Portillo Yes i wanted to say so haha
UA-cam is telling you to review your Japanese.
I see... My teacher was lying to me all this time... hahahaha Nice video!
Br br huehue
I agree, I have been learning wrong!
I feel u🤣
Hahaha boku mo hahaha
I think its not wrong.
I was teaching Japanese for high school, and i just tell them what is written in the text book because what is in the text book are "just for introduction" or "first step" to understand the other step, i think its allright because what is written in text book are from Japanese education ministry so its allright to tell them the basic and let them discover it later when they have enough knowledge about Japanese language.
Why im telling they what was in the text book, because, if you tell them many things like this they will confuse about the lesson that we give to them so just telling them the simple way of it.
UA-cam suggested this video to me and I'm honestly so impressed. This is what Japanese learners need nowadays instead of the useless expressions found in textbooks.
Coursebooks of Japanese language should be reformed, it's a shame they don't include these details about Japanese.
dude you are awesome, not only you make great grammar lessons but also you bring to light small details or errors that we commonly make and nobody cares to speak about it
I really like the way you explained things, and your way of talking
Waw this is my first time listening this video.. and for the first time, without subtitle and i understand 100% what u say.. im surprise to myself 😅😅😆😆 its very helpful btw ..
I've studied Japanese on and off for about 6 years, and still never really managed to get comfortable introducing myself. In Sweden, in any kind of situtaion you can basically just say "Hej"+ your name and you're set, so the Japanese 自己紹介 is too damn complicated for me haha.
This helped a lot, thanks :)
HappySwedishPancake here in Norway too
sugoi, i learned alot from this. Will apply this in the future, thank you for the advice.
I feel guilty turning on the subtitles cause this guy speaks so slowly and clearly that I feel like I shouldn't need the subs
This is great! Thank you for teaching us how not to sound like the textbook.
I realized I didn’t have the captions on but I still understood :0
Then good job!!😁
I aim to reach your level! I understood a lot of sentences and others by context I could kind of piece here and there what he meant. But at the end I still rewatched with subtitles hahaha Good job!
@@krazykrazy14100 you too GOD JOB XO I'm doing the same lolol
Thank you for this so very usefull video. You are great in mentionning WHAT IS OK in japanase. It is important for all those of us that learn japanese, not to forget that correct gramatical use is not the "holy grall" and is not the only way...
best regards
Watched the video without captions so see how much I could understand passively. About 20% at this point, which is encouraging but reminds me how much practice I need
Thank you so much! This was something I was very confused about. No one seemed to use Japanese the way it is taught in textbooks. This makes so much sense now. Thank you!
I was just thinking of self-introductions when this showed up as the first video in my feed. UA-cam is reading my mind.
Same bruh
This is the best of the best,, video no extra talk,,, very useful,,,
This is so helpful Aki!! I'm an advanced learner of Japanese and am studying to be a translator but I STILL stumble over 自己紹介! I learned how to do it just as you said, so unnaturally with "どうぞよろしくお願いいたします" at the end, but I never heard this in Japan when I went there! I hate sounding like an awkward 外人。Thank you so much!!!
Akki, I just stumbled across this video and I have to say thank you. This is by far one of the best videos I have ever seen on such a simple way. It’s fantastic that you teach us how Japanese is really spoken. You also teach us in Japanese at a slow and well enunciated pace that is easy to understand.
It really depends on situation. It was not unnatural.. We often use Konnichiwa. The formal sentences or textbooks are
good for business and when we communicate with elderly. The teaching style has been changed perhaps..
It feels great to understand at least 60% of what you were explaining without subs! ✨
I like his introduction at 0:08 😂😂
Thanks for this useful japanese video.
Este video si me ayudó mucho.
Akkie

Nice tutorial understandable thank you
Very clear pronunciation allows one to understand the general idea with even the most basic of understanding of the language.
Best japanese introduction video ever! Thank you so much! :-)
Feels good to actually be understand everything, even if it is simple.
It's amazing that I could fully understand you

This is very usefull thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you very much to correct me us Sensei. Don't stop to teach us the natural way!
Thank you!
wow... thanks.. its very effective learning 😁😁😁😁
わかりました、after slowing down to 0.5 - 0.75 of speed and switching on subtitles JP + EN 🤠
Thanks for sharing . it is very useful.
Seeing the thumbnail and video title I was half expecting this to be a joke video and was waiting for a punchline to land but I ended up just learning something instead
You are a very good teacher! Thankyou very much.
Very good videos
I can learn Japanese more as you teach your lessons in Japanese
From now on I'll watch your videos
Thank you very much. Another knowledge input to my brain👍
