Can’t wait to watch with my mom. Sadly my sister just passed away in March 2019 from Xanax and alcohol addiction which led her to have a deep depression she couldn’t get out of and she ended up hanging herself. :( she was so tormented but such an exuberant, talented outgoing person and she could have been a star. She had that every eye on her attention when she walked into a room. Now all these Hollywood tragedies really remind me of my sister and I can better understand some of their demons they too had. My sisters favorite song to sing was somewhere over the rainbow and she sang it so brilliantly. Love and miss you sis. She would have loved to see this with me . Hopefully she will be with me in spirit. We loved the movies. I’ll eat some sour patch kids and popcorn for you.
I just watched the movie. Amazing. Renee is outstanding. You don't see Renee playing. She becomes another person. She is Judy Garland. I'm convinced she's gonna win the Oscar. She deserves it.
It's a very GOOD movie, much better than I expected. My first reaction was, you could TELL they put a LOT OF LOVE into this film.. a LOT of LOVE for Judy Garland. It doesn't trash her at all, it PROPELS HER into the STRATOSPHERE of STARDOM!
I’m already tearing up and it’s just the preview! Renee is an amazing actress and Judy is unforgettable. Great combination of two old souls so to speak.
After I watched Judy last year I just knew Renee Zellweger was going to win awards with this performance which she just did talking home the first big award for the season - Best Actress at the Golden Globes. She was absolutely brilliant in the film, it was a completely transformative performance. I completely forgot I was watching Rene and felt like I was actually watching the late Judy Garland.
OH MY FREAKING GOD....im sooo ready for this. Renee look so much like Judy I couldn't even tell it was her, I just saw Judy! I was like who is this actress!! Im more excited about seeing this than I am when I find out the wizard of oz is coming on!
I am 45 in a week's time hard to believe Judy died at 47 a few weeks after she celebrated her 47th birthday in June 1969.judy was the best female Entertainer ever lived. I wish she lived into old age those people that started her on the pills should be ashamed of themselves.
I really did not expect such similarity. Seriously Renée is incredible, even the voice intonation is different. Is she really singing? Renee Zellweger really disappeared to give life to Judy Garland.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🇧🇷
@@DanielePimentel well, you are right nobody can destroy such a huge legend like Judy Garland even with a poor singing actress like in this biopic, thank you :)
God bless Judy Garland. She never had it is easy and was never given anything for free in our world. She was such a beautiful woman and person who always tried her best. I admire her so much and this movie honours her.
I just saw this movie today and I can't remember the last time I cried so much. The ending just breaks your heart. The only people who really loved her were her children and the fans who adored her. She died way too young.
She was a talented teenager who simply got destroyed by their methods. In some videos were she is like 20 she still looks like she enjoying it as much as in her 17.
It's funny, because for a second I thought you were talking about Renee. I thought she was finished. I love great comebacks and this ranks a one of the best
2:13-2:21. Reason enough for me to see this movie. What I saw in those few seconds was absolute heartbreak. Judy was a goddess and by the looks of this trailer, Ms Zellweger nailed it!
Such a tragedy. Hollywood truly chewed Judy up and spat her out. Renee looks like she's doing a great job! Hopefully she wins the Oscar that Judy sadly never did.
This preview looks super touching. Judy, no one can ever forget you. Wherever you are, you should know there was a little boy who saw the wizard of oz multiple times, and to this day its his favorite movie. His favorite character was Dorothy who was kind, very friendly, brave, and had a power within her. I know what MGM did to you to prepare you for this role, and Im so sorry on how you suffered, but it was NOT in vain because YOU MADE DOROTHY COME ALIVE, and to this day that little boys (well now im 32) favorite movie is the wizard of oz MULTIPLE DECADES after the movie was made. I could NEVER FORGET the message your character gave "there is no place like home" and its part of the reason why I decided to move back to Indiana, the state where my family lives and where I felt most at home.
@@Verbsdescribeus Have you even truly listened to what Judy's voice sounded like the last two to three years of her life? There are many examples here on UA-cam. This is it. Have you seen how frail she looked during that time? Again, that is why Renee looks similar. I love and respect Judy so much, too, and was apprehensive that this movie would make her look bad. But, they are not trying to do that. If anything, they are showing how strong and resilient she was even in declining health, how much she loved her children, how hard she tried to work, etc. A number of people unfairly write her off as a druggie who died of an overdose. This movie is showing she is everything BUT that.
WHAT IF (Netflix) was a stylishly understated comeback from Renée Zellweger but THIS performance will put her right back where she left off. Marvellous!! 👏👏👏
@coffeeinthemorning Fiction is putting it mildly. Only someone who knew little or nothing about Judy could accept this hogwash film as informative. Also, it would help to have been born long, long after Judy died. (Which excludes me, and maybe you.) The makeup and prosthetics job on Judy alone is laughable. Renee's pipsqueak singing and speaking voice don't help matters.
This trailer brings me so many emotions, I grew up loving Judy from Oz, Meet me in St Louis, Summer Stock, For me & my Gal, The Pirate etc. Then I learned about her life. She lived a hard life yet continues to inspire me.
Zellweger is back in the game. She chewed it up and spit it out on Netflix's tawdry soap opera, "What/If", and now she's appearing as Judy Garland in a film that's been in development for awhile. The trailer for "Judy" is compelling, and Renee seems on-pitch with her performance. Whatever the outcome of "Judy', or Zellweger's career as a whole, credit to Renee for taking big swings... just like Judy did.
Indeed. I watched the movie on a flight today, and I couldn't stop the tears while trying to hide my crying from the lady sitting next to me. 😘 Renée Zellweger deserved wining "Best Actress" at the 2020 Oscars for this movie.
“I want what everyone wants, I’m just having hard time getting it”- I felt that! It hits my soul that statement
Judy Garland actually worked 43 years out of her 47 on Earth! She never looked at herself as a victim, she was always a fighter!

"...And the Oscar goes to...Renee Zellweger."
Victor TalkingMachine and for not being able to sing like Judy. And for a really bad script and screenplay.
The SAG did!
laura Silveria you could use some
@@stmichl9433 Seek help. I really hope everything is ok in your life. Have a nice day!
@laura Silveriawhy? just why do you need to take time out of your day to post this online and hate. ugh
Heartbreaking to think about what she went through in her life. We will definitely not forget her
I’m excited to hear Renee Zellweger sing again since Chicago. ❤️
She don't have Judy's voice tho.. hers was better and higher.
@@Fudge_Fantasy Well nobody has Judy's voice, it was one of a kind.
This looks absolutely amazing the fact she sang herself and didn't lip sync is partly why if the film is as good as it looks will win an Oscar for it, to look like a person your portraying is great but to sing like her too is amazing, can't wait to see this, I know it's gonna be a tear jerker 😥
I’m crying 😢 Renee has done a marvellous job at this
Can’t wait to watch with my mom. I’ll eat some sour patch kids and popcorn for you.
cherry bubbles I’m so sorry for you and your family’s loss.
"you won't forget me, will you? Promise you won't..." That broke my heart 💔
I’m already tearing up and it’s just the preview! Renee is an amazing actress and Judy is unforgettable. Great combination of two old souls so to speak.
We won't forget you, Renée! You deserved it !!!!!
Just give her the damn Oscar. Well deserved!👏👏👏👏🏆🏆🏆....it made me laugh it made me cry and the last scene had me holding my breath. Wow!
this is going to be incredible . Renee is amazing. I will never forget you judy . you brought such magic to my life. Thank you ms.Garland
Rest in peace Judy Garland
I loved Renee in Bridget Jones diary, I’m so glad she’s getting recognised for her acting again!!
Me too Buddy she is amazing

Renee's delivery of PROMISE YOU WONT is heartbreaking 💔
She deserved the Oscar she got for this!
My God I CANNOT WAIT!!! Rene is gonna get her 2nd Oscar. I ADORE Judy Garland, Liza too. So glad they got somebody with real talent to play her.
Essence Nicole wish that liza had played her mother in a movie bet she could have acted and sang just like judy
@@WilldoAldone YES!! Especially in her Cabaret days....she would have done her Momma proud
One of a great tragic goddesses of the 20th Century. Imma cry buckets!
And the Oscar goes to Renée Zellweger (you heard it here first)!!! 🤭
oenrob98000 I BET THE WINNER WILL BE BETWEEN THE ACTRESS IN HARRIET OR MISS VIRGINIA
@Benjamin C well you did it
well you did it
Shut up i clearly.see.the edited thingy

Yes she's really singing.
Yeah! She's REALLY singing. She did a great job in Chicago.
Renee is destroying the legacy of Judy Garland!!!!!! so disrespectful!!!
@@DanielePimentel well, you are right nobody can destroy such a huge legend like Judy Garland even with a poor singing actress like in this biopic, thank you :)
@Robert Hays they could have left the original tracks and not have them ruined by a poorly singing actress!!!
God bless Judy Garland. She never had it is easy and was never given anything for free in our world. She was such a beautiful woman and person who always tried her best. I admire her so much and this movie honours her.
Knew it was Judy right away. It took me a minute for Renée..
did you ever listen to Judy Garland sing? Renee cannot do that!
Yeah! Great actresses is just like that and some people just pissed at it.
@@DanielePimentel especially the ones who did not take any acting or singing lessons in their lives or have even studied cinematography history :)
@@Verbsdescribeus That's really funny! Your comments are delightful. 😂😂😂😂
Verbs describe us when was the last time you were in a movie? That’s what I thought. Take a seat.
I just saw this movie today and I can't remember the last time I cried so much. The ending just breaks your heart. The only people who really loved her were her children and the fans who adored her. She died way too young.
OMG!!! Looks great! Of course Renee is the best to play this role & she can sing a good tune. I want to see Oscar & Golden Globe Wins!!!!!!
Absolutely.!!
This woman is so good, she really gets immersed in her characters, I hope she at least gets nominated for an oscar
The Industry Took Her In And Then Spat Her Out
That's their way of handling "business"
She was a talented teenager who simply got destroyed by their methods. In some videos were she is like 20 she still looks like she enjoying it as much as in her 17.
It's funny, because for a second I thought you were talking about Renee. I thought she was finished. I love great comebacks and this ranks a one of the best
Just like Monroe (Mortenson) and sadly, so many others...
Just like Renee.
2:13-2:21. Reason enough for me to see this movie. What I saw in those few seconds was absolute heartbreak. Judy was a goddess and by the looks of this trailer, Ms Zellweger nailed it!
Absolutely stunning! Can't stop watching the trailer! Hell, getting emotional just from the trailer, imagine the movie...
2 years ago today, I wish I'd seen this in the cinema.
We'll never forget you Judy, promise.
I did see it at the theater and it was the surprise hit of the year as Renee's singing was over the top
I'm sitting here applauding at the trailer! Well done Ms. Zellweger, well done.
I have a notion to second that emotion ! Being a huge fan of Renee and of biopics I am DEFINITELY going to see this when it's released next month !!
I absoloutly adore Renee Zellweger and her embodiment of Judy is remarkable, I can't wait to see this film !!! Justice for Judy.
Looks like it will be a very emotional film. It's tragic and heartbreaking to see a bright star like Judy Garland fall from grace.
She did not fall from grace. The industry abused and used her.
We will never forget Judy
Hard to believe Renee says she feels like an ‘imposter’ because she isn’t a ‘trained actress’. I can’t wait to see this, looks amazing.
Yeah, she is like Barry. Just ad hoc acting classes. No Stanislavski, No Meisner.
Renee is a impostor because she has NOTHING in common with Judy Garland who has been an icon and a legend for over 80 years now!
Verbs describe us well she’s not meant to! It’s acting!
@@april-tui3524 can you tell the difference between acting and singing? guess not..
And she won best actress for this role ❤️
WHAT IF (Netflix) was a stylishly understated comeback from Renée Zellweger but THIS performance will put her right back where she left off. Marvellous!! 👏👏👏
Understated is the last word I'd use to describe What/If or her performance in the show. She's amazing, but understated? Nope.
The last line always gets me..... I keep watching this beautiful trailer and cry at that line every single time. "promise you wont"
I didn't know Judy had these issues. Renee, amother singing role, so wonderful!
What/If is such a bad show but she absolutely killed the role. Pitch perfect performance.
I cry everytime I see just the trailer. Thank you Renee...
She did a GREAT JOB of portraying Rene Zellweger
wild heart I agree. She’s not good.
lol
I agree.
“ I just want what everyone wants, I just find a harder time finding it “ **hearrt break emoji **
This movie is going to make a grown man cry
Indeed. I watched the movie on a flight today, and I couldn't stop the tears while trying to hide my crying from the lady sitting next to me. 😘
Renée Zellweger deserved wining "Best Actress" at the 2020 Oscars for this movie.
Renee play her perfectly!, I'm happy that she won The Oscar for this.
RIP: Judy Garland
" you won't foget me, will you? "
Yes Judy, we will never foget you :')
Renee is one of my favorite actress. I think she is amazing.
Academy Award Best Actress - almost a certainty.
