hey guys, I love how upbeat you are. I am a Cruise Consultant and have been on over 13 cruises... i would like to say I am experienced in choosing cruises but I always love watching others experiences and this was fantastic! new sub here :)
Great review and ship 🚢 tour. The best part about it is you two, you guys are so positive and so fun and so energetic. As someone who likes to work out in the gym, I’m really glad they have so many classes. And my wife is going to love the ice cream and pizza. Thank you again. ❤
Ah, I was recently docked beside this ship in Santorini (I was with Royal Caribbean) and she looked STUNNING from the outside. Great to see onboard - I've got 14 nights with Virgin later this year, and you've got me so excited!
@@chrisj3055 how exciting! It's really like booking any other travel and depends on where you want to go! We booked a Virgin Voyage and on their website it shows all of the places they go -- www.virginvoyages.com/
@@chrisj3055there are also travel agents that are sponsored by Virgin which means they don't charge extra. Make sure you book when they have a FREE $600 bar tab Super cool
My wife and I did a Med cruise for our honeymoon, the Bay of Biscay was horrendous, being seasick doesn't even cover it, if I could of got off the ship then I would have. But once in the Med it was all calm.
You can take a bottle of wine on the ship but you have to walk it on. I think the limit is two bottles per cabin but I know for certain you have to walk it on.
Love this video so much!! Awesome review! What software do you use to edit your videos? This was one of the best I've seen! I use Canva and haven't been too happy with it so looking for others!
That's fantastic! Have an incredible time on your cruise! Athens is such a perfect starting point for an epic adventure. Hope you enjoy every moment of your Voyage!
@@chattyema8340 Actually most transactions on board the ship are purchased with your bracelet as it's connected to your onboard account. The only place we saw that accepted cash/USD was the Casino and it had an ATM.
Very. Informative! We have never cruised before but are seasoned travelers mostly in Europe. We are young 60 year olds, don’t want to be on “senior citizen” cruises. Was wondering if you saw fun, young thinking older people on your cruise?
Virgin Voyages would be the perfect vibe for this! Everybody we met on board was so much fun, no matter the age range! It’s definitely the people they seem to attract in. Thanks for enjoying the adventure with us! 😊
Glad you enjoyed! Alcohol costs money… but you can get a drink package, upgraded WiFi typically costs extra, and there are some additional dining services that can cost extra like there’s an afternoon tea but there’s so much food included that’s definitely not a necessity!
hi just wondering if the wellbeing pool and the hot tubs are nice and really warm?? also wondering what type of pizza that was please?? it actually looked really nice :)
Yes, the hot tubs are really nice and warm, but the pools were freezing! Or maybe we're just big babies haha The pizza was a BBQ chicken pizza and it was REALLY good!
Great video. Love your energy guys. I am so sorry you didn't feel well for a part of the sailing, but I'm glad you got better and was able to still enjoy. Resilient Lady Ship is coming to Australia. My partner and I are about to book the cruise for this December. Just like you, this will be ours 2nd cruising, hehe. Our first cabin was inside, now we would love to upgrade to Sea terrace as we missed the natural light, and I got a bit sea sick. Did you had the standard size cabin or the XL version? Can you recommend where about on the ship is the best location for a cabin? I am thinking somewhere in the middle (cabin number 174-198) on maybe 9 or 10 floor? Would you say that rooms near the elevator are very noisy? How soon before departure can you book activities, dinning and entertainment? Thanks in advance for any response. 🙂
How exciting! I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. We had the standard size, plenty of room for us! We were towards the back and really liked our location, definitely far from the elevators. We don’t like being near an elevator in hotels so I imagine it would be similar on the ship! And we were on floor 12, also liked that floor because there are no public areas there only rooms (same is true for 9 and 10 so that should be great). I believe you can book dining 45 days before. We booked ours so last minute and booked dining maybe a week before and still were able to get reservations in! Hope this helps 🤗
Looks amazing and so different. It was great you got your champagne through but not so great you got sick, glad it didn't last too long but hey another cruise to get to the Red party! Doing the Sydney to Hobart and return for the Valentines Cruise in Feb 24. ❤
I enjoyed your video and plan to take a virgin cruise soon. My last cruise was on Carnival and it was terrible. I want to take a cruise on a real nice quality cruise line so we want to try Virgin next time.
Carnival was who our first cruise was with too. I can’t promise you’ll be a cruiser for life but you will definitely appreciate the differences between it and Virgin!
Just looking a a cruise on this - for Oct 2025 (going from Athens to Australia) - so thanks for this video. The room is good - but it lacks a lounge (did you use that single chair at anytime ??!) and that shelf on the floor, if the room is in a twin combination, one of the beds goes over that.. a bit strange.
Athens to Australia?! That sounds so cool! Really we only sat on the porch or the bed. We didn’t spend much time in the room, but understand that you might on a longer cruise. The good news is that if you are wanting a lounge area the bed does turn into a sofa. We just never used it that way.
Isn't the embarkation process way slower since you get in the ship through deck 4? Here in Miami is super fast since we go in directly through deck 7. Nice video ❤❤❤
Thank you and it was never slow for us and we never had a wait. We haven't been on the Voyage in Miami so I know it's a different ship, but some things we noticed that made it a fast process compared to our last cruise -- There were at least 6 elevators to take from Deck 4 which were never full. Plus, the port days were so long that people really staggered when they came back.
😆 There’s definitely parts of the ship that feel like that… The clubs, the dancing, etc. but we met quite a few 50+ people on board as well! The rooms are very quiet. And there’s a good mix of activities!
Normally this would be an appropriate guess for us, especially at the airport, however, we were very determined to be on time for this cruise and wouldn't have risked missing it for the world! It sounds like we have some doppelgängers out there though!
We believe it was from a restaurant in Dubrovnik, because I had raw oysters. When we spoke to the ship crew they shared that no one else on board complained about any sickness except being hungover, and reassured us that all food onboard goes through a rigorous inspection.
What's with the bedside tables? I really don't think they look functional. I want STORAGE in my cabins. I also dont like the desk set up. What were they thinking? I do think the bathrooms look too tight for my liking. I would not like it for an older passenger like my mum. Not practical. It looks like they have failed in the bathroom side of things for me. Also in the overall cabin storage. LACK OF. Not practical at all. Sorry Virgin, I think it would be a deal breaker for me. Oh that big drawer is NOT practical for people with mobility issues. BIG FLUNK. Not to mention that little thing on the balcony. Is it a table? Or a stool? Hmmm WTF. I then notice that chair. Well, they obviously expect ALL passengers to be fully able bodied as that is NOT suitable for many older or disabled people. Then to have a poof under the desk. OMG what is that? 6 minutes in and I am done. These cabins are catering for a younger aged able bodied couple. No consideration for elderly passengers at all. Sorry Richard Branson, you have LOST ME. There were many things I feel are not cruise worthy and would choose not to cruise on Risilient Lady.
