Cheers Greddy. I now know how to service my "New to me" 2007 Tuono 1000R thanks to you
Mate, I’m
Now doing a service on mine for the first time, very good video. Thanks
Excellent video just bought myself one
Take note that the ignition wire soldered can broke off and cause the bike stall and unable to start. It can show fault ECU disconnect on the meter. I had encountered it recently and it is a known common problem on gem 2 tuonos.
Helped me alot, thanks mate
Thank you so much for the vídeo, hugs fron Barcelona ✌️✌️
Very useful, thanks for sharing.
Surprised that you didn't clean the throttle butterflies since you had everything out. By the way, if you're running MAP2 the restrictor in the front of the air box can also be removed, it gives it a great sound and not terribly loud. They also say that it gives it a bit better performance, but I honestly don't remember any more power back in the day when I did it. I have used many different oils for my 2008 Tuono, the worst by far was the recommended AGIP. The best was the MOTUL 300V which I currently use on all my Italian bikes. 15w-50 Nice job man, nice video.
may I suggest no atrocious music? hehehe
Hi man is this a V4 & is the bike reliable?
Hi Jeremy, its not a V4 but a twin. Reliabilty is pretty decent i havent had a lot of issues in the last years
nice vid. what is your opinion of this bike in comparison with triumph 675?
Thanks bro,
The Triumph has the looks and was very nimble, but the Tuono gives me a lot more comfort due to the still sporty but straightup riding position, on the daytona i felt broken after 120km. And the biggest difference is the torque, this beast is a real thrill to ride. The Daytona pulls more in the mid / top end of the rpm range.
The oil filter does not fit. You need the long HF 564. Not the HF 152. Using it this way will damage the engine.
This depends on the engine type. And besides, The filter that came out was the same as the new filter.
yep deffo the long one he needs mine takes the short one he needed the long one
They do make two different filters but the long one is for the early V65 engines. They even have a modification kit for those engines to use the smaller filter.
@@Geertgti Does the short oil filter stay on place in the long cage cover or can the oil pressure or vibration press the filter outwards? .. i bought the short filter also by a mistake, but think i should get the long one. I have a 2007.5 Gen2 btw.
Sai che è twin spark per cilindro giusto? Ha 4 candele il V60 Rotax
What kind of oil should I use
thank you bro for letting me get familiar with my bike for its first service i will do on it. so far i did the exhaust, replaced the fork seals , which was easier then i thought compared to my other bikes. Real bikers learn to wrench on the bikes and do it right. Not everyone has a cool assistant like Dino though. FYI for anybody who needs a manual to download, hers the link. www.manualslib.com/ for second gen tuonos
You are welcome, i hope you like your Tuono as much as i do! And to be fair Dino was a great help indeed ;)
Va pulito anche il filtro del serbatoio del olio
Mate you have the wrong oilfilter 🙈🙈🙈
Bedankt voor de video, weer wat geleerd voor het onderhouden van mijn eigen Tuono 👌🏼
