Victoria's last appearance, we miss you Miss Debbie.
Yes
Dont we all...
She really wanted this story to be recovered.
I can’t be the only one wanting them to animate The Space Pirates so Season 6 is completed?
I think you’re the only one😂
@@messajarjarbinks6853 Hes not, you know.
messa jar jar binks actually I want it too but jot for that reason. I think of we have more visuals for that story it would become more watchable however that annoying accent character i can’t stand but the surviving episode 2 wasn’t too bad to watch. However with it being very visual and dialoge heavy, recons are unbearable and drag
Joey Elliott I very much do not like that story. They should get to it eventually but I’d rather they focus on other things before they get around to it
Michael D. Kimpton I think the majority of fans think that that story is one of the worst of all time
An underrated classic, and a personal favourite of mine! Doctor Who should do many more of these missing story animations in this style (along with the other options on the DVD), as it's appealing to kids and new fans a lot more. I hope The Evil of the Daleks comes soon, but I'm also afraid it might loose it's 'cult' status when people see the full story, which imo isn't as good as most people imagine it is, having only seen clips from the final Skaro segment.
agree that most people who begin to not like Evil of the Daleks when they finally see it but I actually like the story so I won’t mind :)
I kinda hope an Evil animation will finally get it knocked off its ill-deserved pedestal
but I somehow doubt it will change a thing
i saw an article that says these cost like £500,000 to produce, which they really don’t make back in sales, so that’s why they can’t do more than they do currently
william they would make a lot more money if they produced more dvds to sell. I don’t doubt the figures but these dvds definitely have a market of people who are willing to pay hundreds for them
@@messajarjarbinks6853 I wouldn't buy a DVD which costs hundreds of pounds. This whole thing is a matter of supply and demand. The fact that they're finally doing more frequent animations shows they can make money out of it.
We could’ve had it allllllllllllllllllllllllllll!
Fury from the deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!
(Can’t wait to own this)
Last time I was this early every black and white episode of Doctor Who still existed in the BBC archives.
Too soon 😨😨😨
Too soon! 😂 good one though!
bowtieanimation just get BritBox
The Quinnimator doesn’t have EVERY episode 😂 but it’s the closest outside of the dvds to watching all of Classic Who!
The Quinnimator the tapes were literally burnt
My Mum hasn't seen Fury since it first aired back in 1968 - I just showed this to her, and she was blown away. I can't wait for my lovely Steelbook to arrive!
How was it?
@@louiswright8282 She really enjoyed it!
This and The Enemy of the World are my two favourite Doctor Who stories, and probably the two best imo. Gonna be great to have both of them in a visual, moving image fashion.
I wish people would stop complaining about the color when you have the option to watch a black and white version anyways. And I think the animation team has done a wonderful job on this animation.
Ikr
Just got this DVD for Christmas.
I have never seen Fury before. It's a great story, much like some of the early Pertwee era.
Black and white is great, but seeing the trailer, the colour version looks excellent.
Can't wait to watch the Faceless Ones.
Wonderful job on the animation?
Lmao you must be joking, it's terrible.
Go check out the Doctor Who anime made 10 or so years ago by one man all by himself you'll find it's alit better than this Mr. Ben crap animation.
@@ValiantWrestling It's fantastic. Are we watching the same show? I think all the animations have been pretty darn good so far. You must be one of these folks who expect the BBC to spend Disney-type mney on them, which they don't have. Be grateful we're getting them at all and stop complaining. And , for the record, I am NOT saying you don 't have the right to your opinion. I'm just saying, as fans we should appreciate the effort being made on our behalf. If we don't appreciate them, they won't happen anymore. End of story. And that would be a tragedy.
@@ValiantWrestlingterrible?
Seriously its pretty good, better than the 2016 power of the daleks animation.
Your not going tonget Disney quality animations for a missing doctor who story.
I think considering the budget we got a damn good animation.
Classic Who is back, and better than ever
I mean it was never really gone
Its animated, it could be better.
@@messajarjarbinks6853 lol, I know. Just a joke chill
Tristan Steinbomer dw I’m not angry I’m just saying in case you didn’t realise you can still watch it :)
@@messajarjarbinks6853 oh, ok I see what u meant. My bad 👍
This is the first episode with the sonic screwdriver
Goodbye Victoria and the companion saves the day this is how a companion should leave
If Evil Of The Daleks next then Hello Victoria
Time is a funny old thing 😁
I remember watching this when it was first broadcast. One of the scariest Dr Who stories ever. When that piece of seaweed started breathing... :-O
I sae it first time round too it really was a creepy story ,but i really loved it
It’s times like this that makes me wish I was born years before my actual birth especially since we might not ever get theses stories with the actual footage. Was Victorias goodbye even more emotional back then than what it is in the animation?
The Faceless Ones was released to start us off in Lockdown. Now Fury From the Deep is here to get us back to normal
Dalek Emperor19 or maybe the second “wave”

This is great! I would love to see many more animated versions.
Well, this doesn't look good...
IT LOOKS AMAZING!
'The Evil of The Daleks' next please!
Adam Tube unfortunately it’s just a rumour at the moment but I’m sure we may get some type of teaser Very soon
It looks very stilted and cheap
Unkn0wn_289 to you but some people really enjoy this (me being one) I guess it’s very hit or miss with people 😊
Personal I want the Daleks master plan and evil just so I can watch all the dalek story’s in full
Cousin Monachpsis that would be good. We definitely need more Hartnells. If we get The Wheel in Space, then we have every Cyberman story on dvd which would be “Excellent.”
Can’t wait to watch this episode.
This has always been one of the stories I've really wanted to see but I have a lot of trouble sitting through ones that are mostly reconstructions so I'm REALLY excited about this one. :D
Cannot wait to see this, gonna be great to add yet another lost episode animation to our collections!
Looking forward to adding "Fury from the Deep" to my Doctor Who collection! So happy to see the missing stories of the Troughton era getting animated blu-ray releases to help fill in the gaps on the shelves! Still get a kick out of knowing that I can *watch* these long lost stories now and experience them as I would have if they actually existed in the archives! Thank you and keep 'em coming I say! #DoctorWho
One of the most iconic second Doctor story is now back from beneath the depths
I love these animated recreations of these stories.
Wow -- the animation in this looks fantastic!
I've been waiting for this! It looks great.
Can't wait to add this to my Doctor Who collection!
0.11 The guy with the gray streaks in his hair reminds me of Paulie Walnuts from "The Sopranos"!
one of my favorites arcs
Arcs? I was only one serial
A week to go now until the UK release
A year to go before the US release.
I CANT WAIT FOR THIS
OH MY WORD!!! Its beautiful & FANTASTIC 👏
Goodbye Victoria and hello Sonic Screwdriver
I'm honestly gonna get this, We need more second doctor Stories!!!
Yeah 2 is THE best doctor imo
Too bad the BBC didn't hire a proper animation studio. These look like garbage.
There's always someone complaining about the animation. What's wrong with it? It looks great to me. Is it became it isn't in 3d or something?
@@jerobriggs6861 there is always someone complaining about the animation because it is sub-par. Look at what any anime studio puts out. The cheapest low budget anime in Japan looks ten times better than the limited animation that the BBC is putting out. The characters all look like they are sliding around when they walk. If they have a conversation, nothing moves but their mouths. The Flintstones was animated better.
Never cared for Japanese animation. It looks ridiculous to me. As for the Flintstones, well, again they weren't trying to make the characters look like real people and capture real people's likenesses. Doing that requires a lot more money and effort which is what they try to do in these animated reconstructions. However, doing that takes money away from other parts of the animation, such as the movement of the characters. But I would prefer them to actually look like the actors instead of silly cartoon charactures moving around better.
Ahhh a throw back
These are incredibly good. Well done all from Power of the Daleks to this. They are all superb. So well made and great stories. Can’t wait to see Fury.
Can’t wait for this, bummed I didn’t pre order it but I’ll go the shop and pick it up definitely. It has great reviews in the community.
Luke Bushell you can still pre order it
Please keep these DVD releases coming!!! (and hopefully more bluray sets, pretty please!)
They’ve got new character models, it’s going to take some getting used to, but they look good
Different animators

Who ever made the sets of this give yourself a pat on the back it looks stunning and creepy!!!
The Target novelization of this serial was one of the creepiest Doctor Who stories I ever read as a kid.
I quite like this animation style, this is one for the pre order
I ordered it it should come on Saturday and I can't wait because fruy from the deep is my favourite doctor who story ever
Awesome, look forward to ordering it on Blu-ray.
More from my favourite Doctor?! Yes please!! Hopefully evil of the daleks and Abominable Snowmen are next!
@Phantom Retrospective Yeah there has been strong rumour of them being next, personally I'd love a Hartnell story like The Massacre to be next, it's my favourite first doctor story!
hope all the missing episodes get this treatment ❤❤❤❤❤
So do I.
I can not decide whether the animation is getting better or worse......It is better than nothing though.
Can’t wait to watch this
I need to see an addiction therapist! I am SO addicted to The Doctor! Everything from Hartnell to Whittaker! My partner thinks I need help : )
So Evil of the Daleks when? 😂
Before anyone says anything, I’m only saying that because I’ve dubbed myself into drawing an Evil of the Daleks drawing until it’s announced
I'm sure we getting it next year
I think Abominable Snowmen is next but idk
@@messajarjarbinks6853 to be fair we need all the troughton first season on dvd nearly finished his first season. We all need evil of the daleks to complete the first season
And highlanders to finish it
I'd rather Daleks' Master Plan myself ...
In the mid-late 90s i watched a lot of fan reconstructions which were great.
Then the BBC started doing them.
Fury is one story I have NEVER seen before.
It's a rare thing to watch a classic Dr Who for the very first time.
IT LOOKS AWESOME! THE MUSIC! TROUGHTEN! IT CANT BE ANY BETTER!!!
Can't wait!
We've got six more Troughton stories to be animated, unless they're not doing Historicals (the Highlanders) and stick to telesnaps and good audio quality (the space pirates) we've got four more to be complete: The underwater menace, the evil of the Daleks, the abominable snowmen and the wheel in space.
Please let them do the Highlander
Why is it always the 2nd Doctor adventures getting animated more? Can we get some more 1st Doctor adventures animated?
I’m pretty sure it’s to do with the difficulty of most of hartnells episodes as a number of them have poor audio and/or a huge number of characters. I also think they might be worried they won’t sell as good as troughton animations do
It's because they have already made the troughton model so its cheaper to use that model, the create a new one of hartnell
Super Cat Elvis the have a black and whit hartnell model from the tenth planet animation
They are probably trying to finish some Troughton seasons so they can start releasing more box sets
There are a lot more Hartnell stories in complete form; and perhaps the Troughton ones would be more popular.
A lot of the best Who from the 60s was Troughton's first and second season which suffered the worst from the BBC purge in the late 70s.
Dalek Master Plan aside, I can't think of many Hartnell stories I am desperate to see.
Okay this looks genuinely frightening
The writing and acting are the peak of his matterial.
Listened to it once, now I'm even more excited for Fury from the Deep. And by the way, the animation is impressive!
Watching this one now. Just got to the end of ep 4.
It looks like they wrote Victoria out of the series very well in this story - showing how she was wearied by the adventures.
Unlike a lot of companion exits where they just leave at the end of a story.
Oh classic Doctor Who that’s so awesome
Yep. Nice little 'easter egg' Roger Delgado (aka The Master) picture on the wall in the impeller room!!!
I watched this lost story as a kid in the Sixties, and it was very scary.😱
Considering the lost stories were broadcast only once to my knowledge your so lucky that you were able to witness it back then. Do you remember much about it?
@@conoradams1276 Only the scary bits, like the creatures that weren't really seen, but represented as churning bubbles, making horrific sounds, and that Victoria's screams were used to stop them.
@@julianaylor4351 do you remember the scene where they said goodbye to Victoria?
@@conoradams1276 Only vaguely. I was very young. I do remember that she said she was going to stay in the twentieth century, with some people who were involved in the story, and have a new start.
@@julianaylor4351 back then was the scene as emotional as it was made out to be?
The animation has improved so much. SO glad the BBC are giving Studios time to get it right.
Loving all of these lost episodes being brought back in animation
Wow! Looks good!
''I'm afraid that Mr Robson is being controlled by some force that emanates from this weed''. '' You mean, he's stoned'' ? LOL !!

I hope they do 'The Evil of the Daleks' soon.
The animation is not bad! I like the change up!
Here it is, the story which introduced the Sonic screwdriver

Daelyas they’ll probably be a black and white version
"Doctor Who Vs the Sea Foam of Doom"
Or "Doctor Who Vs the Weed of Evil"
Riain Biehle I read this in Pat Troughton's voice
That bit at the end of Part 5 when the villain says to the Doctor "Doctor why don't you join us" like he's inviting the Doctor to a bubble bath. Ahahahaha!

YES finally
My only issue with Doctor Who is that there's so much good content and I don't have enough money to buy it all! :P
Can't wait
Alrighty love it😲💙💙
how is this seriously the best quality animation doctor who can afford?
because 60s Doctor Who doesn't have the mass appeal that would warrant a more expensive animation
Doctor Who is a huge brand, that doesn't mean that an expensive animation of a lost 60s episode is a good idea
I guarantee it would lose money
@@Yetaxa I dunno tho. I think maybe if they put more money into its production, it would reach a wider audience
Axial Hence the problem is this isn’t funded by the bbc it’s funded by bbc America and so can’t take British tax, they must basically ask investors for as much money as they can have and pay someone to do it. It’s unfortunate but it’s the only way we would get them
@@Chris-qn1wk ahh I see. That's interesting
Probably because the BBC isn’t Disney. It’s also harder to animate something that’s meant to recreate something that was originally live action but the footage for it no longer exists
Dalek Master Plan, now!
Preordered
Well, It came out September 14, it's now nearly halloween, I just got my "Faceless Ones" dvd....which I ordered in January. Hopefully it won't take THAT long this time. Also, hope they plan to finish animating The "Wheel in Space", what they have is really good, also also, hope Evil of the Daleks comes after "Wheel".
HYPE!
Looks good. Gimme 😍
If you want the animation to be better, just speed up the video, but separate the audio from the video, so it stays in sync
God I'm so excited!
Okay I say it’s 86% good
This, Daleks Master Plan and Marco Polo are the 3 lost stories I just want to watch !!!
Loris - Doctor Whovian France you can watch the Marco Polo LC recon on Dailymotion along with all the others, it’s pretty decent
When will it be available streaming?
I said it before i will say it again. Docotor who and the bbc are really missing out with animated doctor who episodes. You can have old doctors do new episodes.
Trevin Pettigrew this would be so cool maybe as there will be a delay with series 13 they could hopefully do this next year fingers crossed 🤞
Watching it now had to get it from ebay because it takes forever to get released here in America thanks to covid. The animation is great watching it in black and white first.
I can't watch these episodes in color. Thankfully they gave us a black and white version!
PLEASE do Evil of the Daleks. It’s the BEST Dalek story in Classic Who and it’s lost. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
Was that a pic of Roger Delgado on the wall in episode 2.
I love this will they release a full episode
The full story is being released in a weeks time! If you want to see it, you should totally go preorder the DVD/blue-ray/steelbook/whatever as the more support these animations get, the more they’re likely to do
Can't wait to watch it when my DVD arrive
Just be a shame they could not make Jamie Scottish
@@CricketEngland racism
Jack and how the fuck is pointing out that they did an appalling Scottish accent (well certainly in the trailer) for a famous 60/70/80’ Scottish actor racist
Cricket England mate it’s literally Frazer Hines...this IS the original audio like all animations
Cricket England this...this is his voice. It’s the original soundtrack 😂😂😂 maybe they just chose a bad segment of his voice for the trailer

It looks loke theu went with a more cartoony artstyle this time around. It is okay since it seems that they somewhat improved the animation. I still wait for the day when the lost classic episodes no longer look like cheap Flash animation, but as a full flesh cartoon instead. I mean, it would be preferable to get the actual lost episodes, but having them remade as cartoons instead is a good consolation prize
