I see Ben has taken some pointer from the Bottas school of driving. Hopefully he doesn't listen to Valtteri "the championship fight bottler" Bottas on how to not throw away the championship fight...
Ben: *Goes from P10 to P5 in the race, beating faster cars, and wins points vs. other title contenders.* Jeff: "Can't say I'm happy with how today went."
Previously on F1 2019: Ben: *doesn't upgrade brakes at all* Also Ben: "I dont know why I just can't compete under braking" This Episode: Ben: *locks up repeatedly, dragging tires across the pavement* also Ben: "I don't know why my tires are so hot, I've only seen them that hot when they get dragged across the pavement" *facepalm*
Hey Ben, TRL Limitless starts from 4000 revs then straight up to 12000 just before the lights go out (literally with just one light left to go red) and the race begins, and gets a great start every time. Maybe if you try that method you can get better starts?
Aerodynamics effects/affects (no idea which one) the high speed corners, chassis effects (same as above) the low speed stuff, hence why Red Bull have always been ridiculously good in slow sectors/tracks e.g Sector 3 in Spain, Monaco, Hungary and Singapore regardless of how bad their engine was. They’ve always had the best chassis. Develop the chassis and you’ll be decent in the slow speed corners/sectors. Also tyre temps are probably setup related. I don’t drive that smoothly at all but my tyre temps are never an issue.
Another downforce upgrade, yet complains about overheating tires and locks up at every turns. Also has a one of the most mediocre chassis, complains about brakes [not being calibrated joke] and slow sectors. Nevermind, just another downforce upgrade so the tires will overheat again. Really needs to focus on brakes/chassis because the downforce eats the rubber and the brakes also overheat the tires.
Nobody: Absolutely nobody Ben: "We are literally driving along normally but these tires are absolutely screaming for Mercy" Me: See's Ben lock up the tires in the 1st corner in both qualifying, practice and main race... Also me: 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
You should probably do something about that chassis for next season. It's looking a little weak and you said you're struggling in low speed corners. Get all three of those minor upgrades in chassis when you get your end of season resource points.
Ben: Why is Ricciardo doing so poorly all the time? Also Ben: Ooops, I ignored my pit stop window and screwed over Ricciardo again, for at least the third time this season.
Loved the series this year, much better than last years, nice to see ben’s having a bit of fun and a great title fight in this second season, my highlight of this season has to be the offer of a shag for a safety car😂 binge watched to this point hoping he’s finished the season so I can watch the finale tomorrow... good luck Daly 🏎🙏
I'd like to see a video series from where the very first season only department efficiency and durability upgrades all done first before any of the Engine, Chassis or Aero upgrades and see what happens then.
The whole season would be 1 video. Start P20, finish P20. 🤪 Afterwards though... But yeah, I can't imagine Ben doing that. He wants to go straight for the glory... Sometimes to his own detriment.
Key insights Ben is great on the brakes; that's where he gets overtakes and laptime. He may neglect brake upgrades then because his sheer skill compensates. However the Renault is so fast now that the mostly stock brakes can't take it anymore. Need to upgrade those brakes and the suspension brother. You've had too many obvious struggles with tire wear and temp as well.
They need to fix the AI. First time i see them giving some heat back. Cause you sneak turn on the straight to cut them of and they always give the space for easy take over. And they need to do something about the dive bombs you can do against them all the time. AND they need to change the corner cuting to alot to make it more costly.
Hey ben, try this on your start, Maintain optimal rpm, when the initial launch, put in 75% throttle. Let the engine revs 12k rpm for a second and half in first gear, when you enter 2nd gear, go full throttle that should make your gateaway better. Hope this helps
I kinda expected Weber to immediately overtake him at the start, since he was positioned on P11 and Ben on P10. And we've seen all these other AI starts. He actually did, but that divebomb into turn 1 worked out and Ben actually got positions back.
Feanor _ that dive bomb was crucial he over took leclere and the. Later passed vettel 1. Putting two cars between him and Weber and 2. Getting clean air and a chance to manage his tire temps
I can drive on 104 Ai no assists with a controller and be competitive. I won season 2 with a McLaren car so controller isn't too much slower. But you can have much less tire wear and quicker over a longer race which is why the top players use wheels.
No you were right. 4 laps in 50% races results as much tyre wear as 8 laps in real life. That means that undercut is more powerful because the rivals tyres age 2 real life laps more during one game lap
the music at the start of race killed the moment for me... And when you complain about tires in 50% race... in 100% race a wear tire you'll have to deal with it for twice the laps :D
In my career mode season 1 Baku Sergio won in the racing point. All of the front runners were dq for stopping on the track after a crash in the castle section
Try and do this for the start of the race: Just after shifting to 4th gear, try to go full throttle, the car should already have enough traction to handle it. Cheers!
Commentator: Let's talk about Daly. There is a real chance they can win the title today. * Screen shows drivers championship standings * Me: * Look at drivers championship standings * What?!?! Commentator, go home! You're drunk! How on earth Daly can secure the title with that points gap in 3 races?
I reckon you lost several tenths to lockups in qualifying. I'm wondering if stiffer front suspension would improve your low speed cornering in lieu of downforce.
What I want in a F1 career is the possibility of never winning the title, even if I drive extremely hard and am consistently and constantly fast. I want to be able to have a Marcus Ericsson-like career, spending 10 seasons at the back end of the grid, or have a Jean Alesi-like career, being fast and winning races, but never being able to win a title. I want to be able to say "I am a X-time world champion in F1 202X", knowing that many people are never able to win the title. I want to spend a whole career and only be a F1 grand-prix winner, not a world champion because i was never in the right place at the right time. I want driver transfers to be more difficult, and to be able to simply be rejected by the top teams. For example, a possible career Season 1: Drives for Renault, develops car to the top of the midfield Season 2: Drives for Renault, challenges for but fails to win the title; regulation change Season 3: Renault massively demoted by regulation change to the midfield Season 4: Moves to Ferrari with hope that they can challenge, but Red Bull becomes the fastest team. Season 5: Tries to move to Red Bull, rejected, and forced to stay with an uncompetitive Ferrari Season 6: Finally accepted by Red Bull, but Williams become dominant force after regulation change Season 7: Can't move to Williams, but Red Bull can compete for occasional wins Season 8: Moves to Mercedes, challenges but again fails to win the championship Season 9: Mercedes demoted by regulation change, can't win title Season 10: Williams dominates. Now I know that this could happen in F1 2019, but the development speeds and the way you can transfer to any team you want renders this impossible.
For example Ben could move to Haas right now and win the title, but in F1 202X Haas would think Weber and Hulk have been doing a great job, and reject Ben.

How is your best lap time so mu h better yet everyone was on the same strategy?
For example, a possible career
Season 1: Drives for Renault, develops car to the top of the midfield
Season 2: Drives for Renault, challenges for but fails to win the title; regulation change
Season 3: Renault massively demoted by regulation change to the midfield
Season 4: Moves to Ferrari with hope that they can challenge, but Red Bull becomes the fastest team.
Season 5: Tries to move to Red Bull, rejected, and forced to stay with an uncompetitive Ferrari
Season 6: Finally accepted by Red Bull, but Williams become dominant force after regulation change
Season 7: Can't move to Williams, but Red Bull can compete for occasional wins
Season 8: Moves to Mercedes, challenges but again fails to win the championship
Season 9: Mercedes demoted by regulation change, can't win title
Season 10: Williams dominates.
Now I know that this could happen in F1 2019, but the development speeds and the way you can transfer to any team you want renders this impossible.
For example Ben could move to Haas right now and win the title, but in F1 202X Haas would think Weber and Hulk have been doing a great job, and reject Ben.
