- Finally, time to say everything great about Miitopia, or I think is everything. After sinning the 3DS version, the Casting Call, the demo and the Switch version, I felt this was a long time coming. I really hope you enjoy the video and consider subscribing, because it helps out a ton and gets us closer on the path to 2000 subscribers.

One thing I think you would appreciate, the Darker Lord's theme is a combination between the Dark Lord's theme and the Great Sage's theme. Not only is that a cool and creepy detail, but it sounds AWESOME and extremely unsettling

I've always loved this detail
I like how the boss with the sword and shield in neksdor has only the mii on the shield being the mii on the swords father. Even when they're both monsters, the shady merchant father wants to protect his daughter. Wholesome.
And on the flipside, choosing to destroy the dark curse ends with said curse's final words being "thank you"
Wait so... the curse wants to be killed?
@@Chara_Dreemurr1 yes and no. The curse did not actively seek death, but is in a situation where having it's life ended would be an act of mercy. Not unlike a deathly sick pet that needed to be put down.

An extra win is how... different the title screen music is in Otherworld when compared to the title screen of the rest of the game's areas.
A lot of the title screen themes sound pretty jolly (or in the case of the Dark Lord's Castle and New Lumos, pretty rad) but in Otherworld, that shit's gone. You are left with a cacophony of slowed down Mii noises, as if they're begging, screaming for help from the Darker Lord's grasp.
It's honestly one of Nintendo's creepier pieces tbh. Move aside, River Twygz Bed, Otherworld's aiming for your throne of creepiest Nintendo music.
I hate it when people choose personalities for their miis only based on which quirks make the game easier, that sucks a lot of the fun out of the game
I tried it when I started the game and I was just like “man this is boring” and switched the personalities back
Absolutely
I make miis based off characters from different games I liked, so I chose their personalities closest to what the actual character's personality is
I dont care if it doesn't benefit me, it's so fun to have the personality quirks clash with one another, especially when two of my most active healer miis (a Cleric and a Chef) have the laid-back personality, so they get hated on half of the time lmao
Stubborn mii's not accepting heal is frustrating but also funny and I refuse to change that.
Yeah, most of the miis I put into my game were OCs, for the party members I tried to choose the personality quirk closest to whatever the OC's personality is like. It feels better and the small handful of inconsistencies only make it funnier.
I don't care chef and kind don't go together, THE GREAT PAPYRUS IS KIND AND WILL STAY KIND!
A bit of an extra win for me is that different mii's have different voices depending on their personality. And for the menu whatever personality the hero mii has, that voice is singing on the menu.

voices also slightly differ based on gender too! female miis have slightly higher pitched voices than male miis :)
And all the key characters have a slight difference in all their voice (youngest fab fairy has very high pitched voice, great sage has a medium-low pitched voice, dark lord has a low pitched voice, etc)

It's all fun and games until when you try to reenact one of the dance move in the Fab Fairies Dance, you hit your hand on a fireplace.

Honestly, this made me think about something really cool. What if, if Miitopia 2 happened, more monsters had mechanics that are clearly the same as personality quirks? Such as Energetic Imps, who could do a charge attack, or Airheaded Goblins that fall asleep during battle, or even Laid-Back Clouds that can do more or less damage than normal? It's just so fascinating to me.
i just love when i choose the save him option after hearing his backstory. and changing nothing of his face

So glad I found this on my Birthday while attempting a Nuzlocke. Miitopia really is a special game that can be replayed endlessly and different results can happen each time. ^^
Man, I could write an entire essay on the character of the Great Sage. There are so many moments that let you understand who they are as a person. When the Ex Dark Lord is talking to you in the skyscraper, they mention that they were aware of what the Dark Curse was doing when possessing their body but was powerless to stop it. Combine that with the knowledge you gain in Karkaton that the Great Sage is a kind person who's helped many people, and you get some very interesting implied internal conflict. If only the game touched on this more...
This isn't even going over the eye symbolism leading up to the fight with the Dark Lord. And the music associated with the Great Sage is very good as well! Their main theme is my favorite track in the entire game. As another comment mentioned, the Darker Lord's theme incorporates the Great Sage's theme.
The cutscene you mentioned in your video at around 17:15 is particularly sad. Despite having played the game on the 3DS and knowing what was coming, in that moment I still answered "no", because it was a character that I genuinely cared about. What adds to this is the slow, sad remix of the first half of the Great Sage's theme. It really drives it home that you'll have to go up against someone that you've cared about, making the eventual Darkest Lord fight a bit harder. The only other place that this theme plays is at the end, right before the Great Sage explains the origin of the Dark Curse.
Speaking of the Darkest Lord, every part of that theme is incredible. The very beginning of the fight plays a drawn-out version of the intro to the Great Sage's theme. Later in the battle, we hear the theme again, but with a different tone to it. This time, it sounds almost desperate, like the Great Sage is trying to regain control but ultimately failing, as the next part of the music is a section of the Dark Lord's theme, the part of the song that most people like the best.
Ultimately, the Great Sage is a very underappreciated character with so much hidden potential. No matter what I cast them as, they're always my favorite, and it annoys me when people don't take the story seriously. It might just be a kid's game, yeah, but if you just cast the Great Sage as Obama or something then it's not really gonna have the same emotional impact. Or maybe I'm just over-analyzing a silly little Mii character. This video is very well put together, and I can't believe I haven't seen it sooner.

it is technically possible to get vampire during the main story, but unlike the main 12 jobs, it's not guaranteed

21:45 actually theres only 1 post game job, the elf since you get the vampire quest where you unlock vampire before post game, along with some other quests. (in the travelers hub)
fun fact, you can get the vampire role before you collect those gems to unlock the skyscraper, though it is harder

I absolutely love the world building and character development that happens throughout the game, miitopia is definitely one of my most favourite games ever

By far one of the games I was glad to actually get because I wanted it on my 3ds when I was younger. (R.i.p 3DS, 11/12 years old or more and has completely died) Favorite song is from the work out/training event in the in. It's just hyper and so it makes me hyper XD overall, it's a great game, I just wish some enemies like the twerky and running nose didn't exist (they seem cursed)

I love how nintendo dropped the best mii customiser in existence then proceeded to limit it to a port of a 3ds game with nearly no new story or anything then proceeded to try to replace them with xbox avatars. Truly the nintendo moment of all time

I loved this so much! Every single video you make about sinning or now winning too is amazing! Even some of the comments on the reading comments videos were great! Maybe you could go back and make wins on the casting call too
Also you should’ve added another win for the last hero on the dragon. It’s hilarious how they get to scared on the tail the whole time, I think even near the even of story dialogue you still see them terrified. That element was amazing for me when I played on the 3DS (haven’t got the switch version)

What's interesting is that if you're in the middle of a level with echo effects, if you browse the journal, the journal will also have echo effects in the sound effects! Either this is a coding thing, or attention to detail

One of the best features in this game is the sound design my favorite songs are the celebration music after winning the surprise games and the Masion stage theme from 3Ds👌🏾
Recently, I spent seven months on a nightmare run of the game. Seven months and I’ve only just beaten the Pharaoh. If it was any other game, I probably would have quit. But in Miitopia, I prevailed. Such a good game.
