    A great watch. I'm so pleased that I'm not the only one who appreciates that there is no annoying background music. We watch these clips because Bruce is obviously so knowledgeable and explains things so clearly. All those years of experience are so very valuable.

    I love your videos Bruce i am a yank from the States 🇺🇲 lol 😂 I Consider you Bruce The Terminator T-800 BRUCE YOU ARE TRULY The most ENERGETIC MAN IN HIS early 60s that i have ever seen. You have Energy like a 20 something year old 30 something year old. I hope when I get your age 60 that i can do everything that you can do. It's absolutely remarkable the energy level you have bruce especially for being 60 years old. I have to take my head off to your. Don't let age stop what you love to do. Your movies that you do on UA-cam here are awesome. There's no other word for it, just plain awesome.

    Loving the content, lots of memories of some old trucks and plant equipment. Really enjoy the relaxed presentation style, a joy to watch especially as you seem skilled at getting these old-timers running again. Big thanks too, to your camera and sound operator for doing such a good job

    I remember these trucks. The Army always painted the back of the rear diff white as some kind of marker at night I guess.
    My father had one but his was single drive with a 392V8 and 2 speed diff. There was a show on the ABC years ago called "Alice to nowhere" that had one driving through the desert with a 6V53 in it.

    I really love your show. I learn a lot. That old Tanker and some of the other trucks remind me of old Match Box toys I had as a kid. My dad would bring home in his lunch box on pay days if I'd been good. That was when Lindsey toys made them in England in the early 1970's. I still have a precious handful.

    I'm currently in the middle of a brake reconditioning job on our museum 6X6 AACO. Ours is petrol powered as were all the military jobbies originally. The air over hydraulic brake system could only have been engineered by frustrated Land Rover designers, it's absolutely madness, all that complexity for something that fails if the brake shoes are not kept 100% adjusted.

    Good old Perkins 6354 with what looked like a CAV DPA injection pump, as long as they're not completely knackered and/or moisture hasn't got into them they'll usually go again after standing for years with fresh diesel a bleed and priming, if you're gonna restore the truck i'll watch.

    • @bruceinaus
      @bruceinaus  Рік тому +2

      Hi Steve, the cab is pretty rusty but it could possibly be replaced. It’s missing a few brake parts but seems otherwise complete. We are going to get it driving to see how the driveline is and make a decision from there. Thanks for watching, Bruce.

    Some dipstick smashing all the glass on the truck didn't help to preserve the cab interior from rust. There is a similar ACCO 6X6 ex Army (in much better condition) sitting for years in a front yard at Cookamidgera NSW if you would like another Bruce!

    G'day Bruce. Subsciber here and a big fan of what you do. Love your videos. I was wondering what you'll be doing with these trucks in the future? Reson being, i have an ex army AACO like this one with a mint condition cab and tipper on it that has been stored out of the weather for most of its life by the looks of it, only problem is that when i bough it out west in New South i bought it as a chassis up job because sadly someone has robbed it of its diffs, engine and box. Would you consider selling this one at all? Would definitely help me get mine on the road again.
    Let me lnow if youre interested in that and i'll send my email and then phone number so we can have a chat. Good onya for doing what your doing. Cheers mate.
