    I love the way Patrick lulls the defense to sleep with his pocket play and then absolutely goes for the throat in crunch time with the way he runs. Every big game I watch like the SB, I forget that he’s actually pretty fast and elusive. He uses his legs in such a devastating manner

      Mahomes is the perfect storm, because he's got a great organization that's firing on all cylinders. If you want to know why Mahomes is earning rings, look no further than the Tyreek Hill trade. Yeah, Mahomes is great, and all, but they keep putting together better and better rosters every year. Most teams contending for titles end up stretched beyond their means, because they "load up for a run." It's really hard to re-load for a run, year after year. With the 3rd championship, I think it's safe to call this a dynasty.
      Now it's just a question of how long the dynasty will last.

    I have seen in many cases Mahomes doesn't pull it when targeting MVS is he doesn't trust his hand-catching ability. MVS has to catch with his body instead of his hands. Even on his TD grab the ball hit him in the body and he still had a slight stutter. To have as many drops as MVS did for the season you can't blame Mahomes.

    I think #31 saw how wide-open Kelce was. I think Mahomes saw #31 with his eyes in the wrong place and took a gamble on dropping it over him. Kelce was too good of eye candy, that wide open, and 31 thought he was going to have to crash down on Kelce. I think by the time he got his eyes back around, the ball was out of sight over his head, maybe.
    Maybe Mahomes saw that play like I did and just saw how open Hardman was, and ended up throwing it dangerously close to #31. But with Mahomes, I think there was more to the calculation, and it had to do with his grasp of where #31's eyes were.
    The way I see the game, I had a hard time understanding back-shoulder throws. Then I started thinking about where the DB's eyes and hips were at the instant the ball came out, and I started liking them, more. They seem to put the ball in harm's way, but the idea is to catch the DB's eyes and/or feet wrong. He's in the perfect spot, but he's looking and facing the wrong way.

    Ik certain people will be all out of shape because "7 is more than 3" but Mahomes is CLEARLY the best we have ever seen its not even a question and its not recency bias.
    I have been obsessed my entire life watched Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees and that era shred defenses for years. And I watched clutch, Brady was Clutch but the stats, what Mahomes has done is MORE clutch than even Brady its actually ridiculous.
    I have never seen a QB have the combined athletic ability(with the brain to not overuse it) along with arm talent, pinpoint accuracy(for those that get it just because a pass looks like its wide right or left doesnt mean its inaccurate), competitive drive, and dedication to his craft.
    He is literally the perfect storm the only athletes I've seen with his drive are Jordan, Kobe, and Brady.
    Everything combined and I do not envy the naysayers and haters they are in for the longest ride of their lifes.

    • @takerfan4ever
      @takerfan4ever 3 місяці тому

      I couldnt disagree more. Winning has always been the most important intangible, within context of course. Mahomes is definitely the most TALENTED qb of all time, but as great as he is, it's incredibly disrespectful to someone like Brady who owns damn near every qb record there is. If Mahomes keeps at it, he will be that, but for know, one guy one more and won longer. We've never seen that before.. and has led the greatest dynasty in nfl history.

    • @BuddhaMelffyQueen
      @BuddhaMelffyQueen 3 місяці тому +1

      @@takerfan4ever one guy cheated through atleast half of his rings, and had his coach cheating through the other half. And don't get me started on him going to a custom made roster tailored perfectly for him to go win a superbowl.
      Disagree all you want the "greatness" from Brady was alot of cheating and alot of leaning on other great players to bail him out(how many times did Vinatieri save his ass by making a game winning field goal?)
      Mahomes has literally accomplished exactly what Brady did to start his career without his coach taping people's signals and practices and all the while one upping it by being clearly better right out of the gate than Brady was.
      But to each their own.

    • @takerfan4ever
      @takerfan4ever 3 місяці тому

      @@BuddhaMelffyQueen one guy was saved many times, but has more rings AND sb mvps than any player in history.. yet he was saved.. riighhtttt. Chiefs constantly get the nod in treatment from the refs, so much so people start saying the games are rigged.. and you want to claim someone had something tailor made for him? Last time I checked, Andy and kelce are hall of fame material, sounds tailor made to me as well. You're incredibly unintelligent, or you are young.. one of the two, possibly both. Mahomes has definitely had the superior system between the two, and isn't playing in a league with superior talent.. I mean, it's laughable to compare today's qbs to who Brady went against. He had a better start.. that's cute.. the question isn't who is going to win the race, it's who is going to win the marathon.. buts let's lower the bar so Mahomes can be the goat shall we?
      COPE!
      It's a great thing you are in the minority here.

      @@takerfan4ever your argument(and the one that makes any other possibly credible arguments void) is the bull crap about the refs "giving the nod" to the Chiefs which is utterly ridiculous because only 6 teams have been more penalized than the Chiefs since Mahomes took over in 2018.

    If you watch number 31's eyes on the pass to Hardman, you see he thinks the ball might be going to Kelsey. And he probably crapped his pants because that was his man and he abandoned him. True, he probably did lose track of the ball but his instincts knew he was a country mile downfield And he could see that there was at least 25 yards between him and his assignment. He hesitated. He lost.

When breaking down this film, I see guys wide open and the QB either looking the other way or straight at them. I noticed several times Rice having a window but Mahomes not going his way.. Is there always a primary on every play design or is it up to the QB where to look first based on the defense?

    You need to decide who your audience is if you are looking for followers. This is the quarterback room analyzing game film. I think you have a great opportunity here to KISS (Keep It Short & Simple) in analyzing plays. If your goal is to only do a quarterback room analyzing game film for the football geeks, then you got it. Will be interesting how many people actually watch this to the end. I didn't.

    No. Let's look at the regular season.. 6 games against AFC West rivals. And matched up against the top 4 worst teams in the league. Patriots, Jets, Bears, Vikings. Got beat by the Packers, Eagles, Lions in the regular season. That's interesting. Saved by the Refs against the Bill's second game. Goodell and his boys WILL NOT give KC a tough schedule. The Panthers had a schedule twice as hard. And the good Ole Chiefs never made the top 5 in power rankings this whole season. Next year, let's see Goodell and the boys give them a real schedule.

      the NFL schedule is computerized and based on the final standings the year before. Outside of the division where you play each team 2 times, your entire division plays teams based on the standings the year before and the lower seeded team plays the lower seeded teams. The cross conference games are also pre-determined and weighted based on prior year and it rotates annually. Not the Chiefs fault. Maybe this year they got a little complacent, (thats what winning every year does) but when the playoffs came, they jacked it up.. happened to the Patriots too.. Brady went 10 yrs between SB wins) Chiefs then beat Miami, Buffalo on the road, Baltimore on the road, and SF to win the SB. There were many calls on the Chiefs that were not in their favor, so you cant go there either.

      @@vf9831why bother with these fools? They conveniently don't mention that KC was the most penalized team in the league this year. They're just fools proving their foolishness beyond doubt.

      @@vf9831 good info 👌! Next year I'd like to see Houston Texans vs Kansas City, Texans vs Dallas, Texans and Green Bay, Miami at Seattle! They were complacent true, they better be on their game next season. Been some dynamic teams this year. Poor AFC West. Lol.

      The regular season is for playoff seeding and draft order. In the playoffs, KC just beat the top 2 seeds in the AFC on the road plus the #1 offense in the AFC, all before beating the #1 seed in the NFC for the Lombardi. What else could they possibly do? It doesn't matter who or where they play. They have proven they can beat anyone, anywhere at anytime when it counts the most.

    • @rustyreese4006
      @rustyreese4006 3 місяці тому +2

      @@drm2364 you'll never convince these people. They don't understand that the NFL schedules are rotating every year. AFC west teams will say play AFC south teams and nfc north teams one year. That counts for four games and each team plays similar ranked teams. That's ten games each team has zero control over. KC will get the rest of their schedule made up from playoff teams. There's no control over how good, or bad those teams will be. But of course these idiots think that the NFL knows how good every team is long before the season even starts.
