Happy to hear her acknowledge that she wasn’t the original writer on it. I have the draft written by two guys (I forget their names) that is still even in the agency folder, and it’s reallllllllly close to the final product. Not much difference. But to hear her acknowledge that publicly is cool, because everyone assumes she was THE writer. I love what she says where she always desires every character introduced to have a moment. That’s solid storytelling advice.

The balance of emotional intimacy and humor she brings are why I'm torn between Sleepless In Seattle, You've Got Mail and When Harry Met Sally. Proving it's not just the star billing of the two leads that make a true modern romcom. And An Affair To Remember drew me to Sleepless in Seattle.
