I smiled many times when something immediately resonated with me. Maybe you should refrain from speaking for another culture as someone who is not apart of that culture.
This came up for me all the time while I was living in Japan. My coworkers would tell me about certain foods or traditions or just ways of treating/talking to elders, and I would tell them how we (Black Americans) do similar things. They were always interested and surprised.

My point is that you can not tell people what their culture is about and how they identified aspects shared by another culture. It was rather arrogant and rude of you to do. I had the opportunity to go observe a real katana blacksmith in the middle of nowhere Kyoto and even hone my own knife in the fire. I was a rather viewer of Paolo from Tokyo videos, " a day with..." when I discovered years ago his new one about a japanese home wife. It was endearing, Sutan was I think about 1 or 2 years old. They were in their older appartement, her husband was for working at hotel and she was doing her best between raising Sutan, doing home chore, shooting her video, and her own subtitles. I recall she mentionned it took dozen hours for her to release a single video... Then they moved to a different appartement, Sutan was growing becoming more lively and cute every weeks, being her mom assistant cook. Long story short, I can't wrap my head about how much stuff have changed in such a short amont of time. I kind of get a bit of nostalgia of such relatable moments of simple life daily struggles, but at the same time I feel a sense of pride of seeing that family doing so much to pursue new challenge, always facing opportunity connecting with such variety of folks around the world. Incredible path.

I've been a fan of Japanese people and their culture for years. It started with martial arts and anime. Joined the military and picked Japan as my first duty station. On the weekends and every time i get days off. I would travel all over Japan , trying new foods, making new friends, learning new things about the culture. Mad my new friends laugh when I told them that i learned my first Japanese words from anime. Great times. This is what I like to see more of people of the world coming together and throwing away hate and learning from each other.

I was a rather viewer of Paolo from Tokyo videos, " a day with..." when I discovered years ago his new one about a japanese home wife. It was endearing, Sutan was I think about 1 or 2 years old. They were in their older appartement, her husband was for working at hotel and she was doing her best between raising Sutan, doing home chore, shooting her video, and her own subtitles. I recall she mentionned it took dozen hours for her to release a single video...
Then they moved to a different appartement, Sutan was growing becoming more lively and cute every weeks, being her mom assistant cook.
Long story short, I can't wrap my head about how much stuff have changed in such a short amont of time. I kind of get a bit of nostalgia of such relatable moments of simple life daily struggles, but at the same time I feel a sense of pride of seeing that family doing so much to pursue new challenge, always facing opportunity connecting with such variety of folks around the world.

I've been a fan of Japanese people and their culture for years. It started with martial arts and anime. Joined the military and picked Japan as my first duty station. On the weekends and every time i get days off. I would travel all over Japan , trying new foods, making new friends, learning new things about the culture. Mad my new friends laugh when I told them that i learned my first Japanese words from anime. Great times. This is what I like to see more of people of the world coming together and throwing away hate and learning from each other.
