I had a few of those red boiler-suits and my mother hated them as she could never get all the oil/grease stains out of them, but I loved them as much as I did the 3Cii. Those were the days 🙂
Top spec that 3c, 4in1 & an extending dipper in 1972! Looking good all shiny and new. I always used to wonder why they never had a longer exhaust pipe?
Alot of operators just got a length of exhaust pipe for their machine ,the downside was that the extra length and weight broke the original pipe off at the silencer .The extension would often sieze on and you couldn,t open the bonnet!
Ah , right yeah that would figure. I suppose back in the day there wouldn't be much in the way of health and safety laws regarding exhaust fumes entering the cab. Most would be running with the sliding door open & sitting facing the back actor and back window open so there would be plenty of through ventilation I guess. They just looked funny to me as a kid at the time, specially when MF 50Bs etc had proper about bonnet silencer pipes
Good Machine those 3c2’s for the time. Not much competition then, 50B Massey, Ford 13/6, and I like the CFmk1 Van, tall drivers would remember them leaving them with a stoop!
Love this old footage 👌🏻
