If you want a professional sounding recording, it needs to be TIGHT. And how well you can hear your metronome can majorly impact that. If you want a louder metronome, this is for you!

Colin, (unrelated to metronomes)... Do you know if the new Mainstage sound library can still be installed within the latest GB? Mainly for the Jam Pack sounds & Logic sounds.
Additionally, are you using a LUFS meter? Thanks!

Can’t wait to try this. I’ve been trying to figure out how to play my edrums to the built in click and it’s very hard to hear even with noise suppression head phones. I also wondered who artists use clicks for time changes for parts of songs and using this method makes sense

Very good tip, thank you very much. I use metronome sometimes and now I'm starting to use it more regularly.

Thanks for this tutorial. For one who does not know the basics of music terminology and functions, I could only crudely grasp the importance of the metronome. The musicians who come to my home to provide music, tell me the key and tempo etc of the song. When I enter that data to my project, will not the metronome beat be according to the parameters set? Your tip of increasing the volume and modifying the tone of the metronome has been a learning curve for me. At the beginning of the tracks being laid out, the metronome gets heard easily, but, as the project tracks increase, it is necessary to have it heard at a higher volume. I will remember to hike the volume so that the musicians can hear well and not err.
Also, since you are such generous soul 😀, can you consider providing midi tracks/loops at different parameters of the music requirements... loops that we can download?
    Regards

I had no idea about holding cmd and clicking to create those midi sounds. Cool.

It needs metronome to record instruments in perfect timing but whenever i record, although using earphone it records metronome sound too. I just want music without metronome, you get me? :')

Anyone have issues with the metronome tone adjusting? My newer projects won’t change the tone when adjusting the click but will allow me in older projects. Also, everything is up to date. Any ideas? Thanks all

Thanks for the tutorial. I'm completely new to Garageband (and recording in general). If I have a song I'm recording in which the tempo slows down during the bridge and then returns to normal from the bridge into the chorus, how do I create a click track to follow? Or am I approaching this all wrong?

I started doing something similar to creat a count in segment for use when I'm not in record mode. Great! As an aside is there a pdf or some other reference to the midi map for drum sounds accessed by the keyboard in the piano roll in Garageband? I've searched but have not found one.

      That’s a great idea! I don’t... perhaps I should make one?

Very cool... my issue is metronome (or drum track) bleed onto my acoustic guitar backing track. How do I stop that from happening? I'm using a Roland Pro Mixer Go X to interface with my macbook pro. I haven't figured out how to consistently keep the drum track (or the metronome) from bleeding over, other than lowering the volume til it's almost inaudible. Help?
