Thank you for expanding upon these warriors and their history! Having the surname Feeney, I was always intrigued where my family name and heritage originated from and after looking it up, it ended up tracing back to Ó Fiannaidhe which translates to "warrior" or "soldier "with the Na Fianna which led me here. I also found that my first name as well derives from the King Conchobhar mac Nessa from the Ulster Cycle in Irish mythology as well as the Connaught province in modern day Galway and Roscommon where interestingly the name Feeney also originated from as well!
I think clearing a branch of head height from the ground would be the hardest trial. Thank you for you channel and content! I wish I knew more about my Irish heritage but this channel is helping. I know a lot about my family and I know I'm mostly Irish blood. About 96% I found out. Thanks again. My son and I are always looking forward to new videos!
Great video as always, really enjoy the various highs an lows agus trails/tribulations of Na Fianna/Fenian Cycle, as a child with the surname "Finn" i was told by a kinsman that a link to the surname could be in honour of the legendary Fionn mac Cumhaill so curious i sought out & learned all i could about his mythology which in turn lead me to enjoy so many aspects of all Gaelic myths & legends.☘
I am surprised but not that much that Patrick is accompaning the Fianna as the monks under the control of Roman church wrote down these stories and off course there was no mention of the greatness of Erin before the coming of Roman/British churchmen. Mary Condron in her book The Serpent and The Goddess says Patrick murdered a woman by running over her in his chariot. Conor MacDari in his amazing book which is available on audio on utube says Patrick is a fabrication made up to deceive the Irish people by the Roman/British churchmen while they stole our history including our world wide spiritual teaching of Iesa Crios. Thank you Brehon Law Academy for your reintroduction of our great Brehon Laws. Slainte!
Let us start another guild! Who's with me!?

@@BrehonAcademy I think you might be right. Maybe equally hard for a stout Irishman. Lol
Lovely to hear that read with headphones...

I was told thats how my last name formed too. Seems the clan's influence was wide with the Gaels
I enjoyed your video. What term did you use for a kinless man?
The tests all seem challenging, which is obviously the point.
AWESOME! Please More.

I wonder, are you comfortable with the fact that these men were probably ‘lovemaking’ with each other?
They weren't Greek, and I doubt their wives would have put up with the sort of nonsense you seem to wish to imply.
Typical, you people cant seem to imagine any kind of fraternal bond without projecting your own warped view of reality onto it
Homosexuality was kinda everywhere but if it was excepted in certain areas is what's to be questioned
Have you a shred of evidence or source to support that theory ? I doubt homosexuality was any more prevalent then than today.
