Ooh, we spotted a familiar face too at the footage of the double width lock. A friend of our boat neighbours here in Nantwich. She moored here today and we said hello to her. We're renovating our little leisure 30ft NB Bumblebee ready for some adventures 🎉
Wonderful guys, as alway, I always look forward to Wednesdays 😀 Listening to you recite the poem made my evening and Paul makes me laugh too. Thank you, ❤
I'm so glad you enjoyed hearing your fantastic poem, we certainly did love it and it still makes us smile now. Thank you as well Gary for the coffees, we really do appreciate it so much. 😀
you are on my hubbys home.. and just moored up in the town davenham Northwich, where he was born and bred, we been here a few time, the pub in the village is really nice.....that poem was just awesome... thank you....enjoy the Atherton Boat lift, I've only drove pass it, but seen plenty a boater do it...... but remember do not use your drone.... some utuber did this a few years ago and got very much told off......
*Good late arvo Liz, Paul & Ernie 🙂 Another fabulous video over the days of traveling the canals. 🙂 Paul thank goodness you sorted out that belt... as to the dude in the shop.... 'How rude...'. Some people are really not meant to be in the customer service working profession. Even if they are having a bad day... put on a smile and serve nicely. 🙂 Liz some awesome homes along the canal.... 🙂Ernie relaxing on the grass instead of wanting to do his usual speech at the end of the video 🙂You all have an awesome week 🙂nz* Paul, by now you know the Spain vs England soccer final results.... as a non-soccer fan, I did watch it... congrats to the winners and commiserations to the runner up team... 'It's --- coming home'......
Hi Andrea, yes belt all sorted, although we should have really got another one as a spare but we will pick another one up soon. Poor little Ernie he was so worn out he didn't have the energy to sit up to say goodbye this week 😉🤣 Paul watched the football final in a local pub, myself and Ernie didn't even switch it on 🤣
@@uponreflection *Yep have an extra belt as you just never know when you will need a new one 🙂Give Ernie a pat from me 🙂I bet Paul wasn't to happy after the soccer final aye... ahhh well.... maybe next time aye 🙂.*
Liz you will love the weaver, it's the best and safest river in England to do,. The Anderton Boat Lift is amazing :) Go see the visitors center it's really interesting. (You might of done it by now) Paul you should really keep a couple of belts spare buggers always let you down when you least expect it. That poem was amazing well done Gary! Your on the busiest part of the network in the summer boats galore! Your right Paul just let em past I dunno why they want to go so fast you miss a lot that's going on when you cruise like that. I call it Chillax cruising :) Great as always, love the banter between you two :)
Definitely should keep a couple of spare belts, that's exactly what I told Paul when he returned with just one in his hand 🤣 we will pick up another couple just to have handy. The poem was fab wasn't it, Gary did really well there. I'm not giving too much away with the boat lift but all I will say is that it will be in the week after next 😉😀
Good night Ernie and liz and Paul I love watching your videos of you and your adventures on your narrow boat I hope that you all are well and enjoying your adventures on your narrow boat want to thank you for your lovely videos of you and your adventures on your narrow boat and when you are doing for everyone to watch on your videos on your you tube channel please keep safe and warm please keep your videos going on your you tube ❤ please say Ernie I think he is funny 😅 and makes me laugh and happy and smile
Thanks guys. Really need the smile these days with all the crap going on over here across the pond. Hope the trip on the river went well, if it did actually happen...lol. Thanks again, take care.
Dear Liz, Paul and Captain Ernie, Captain Ernie you certainly did not seem your rambunctious self this time, hope you are feeling well. Paul if you can't stop the squeak in the belt pick up some belt dressing and give the belt a light spray of the dressing. You will find the dressing very tacky so be careful how much you apply and that you don't get it on other things. You might also be able to salvage the old belt with the dressing so that it can be kept as an emergency belt. Liz, at the 16:30 mark on the video it looked as if a very large gold fish surface and snatched something off the surface of the water. If you have time let me know what you think. Take very good care and looking forward to your next adventure. Mark Alberta, Canada
Hi Mark. Firstly, I had to look up the meaning of 'rambunctious' 🤣🤣 Ernies all good, sometimes he has a couple of off days after he's had his flea and tick prevention drops so it may have been that, but he's all ok 😊 I looked back at the footage and I see what you mean, you're very eagle eyed to have noticed that. When I played it back slower, it's actually the reflection of a car going over the bridge. Thanks for watching again Mark. See you next week😊
Hey Guys 👋 Glad you have decided to brave it and take the river option! I would love to see/use the boat lift one day. Look forward to next week and seeing your adventures ❤ Have a blessed week 🙏
Hi Vicky. The boatlift is in the week after next, wow its a magnificent structure, think you'll really enjoy seeing it in use and our stressing before we go on it 🤣😊
Sometimes its good to forget about life outside the canal system! In the not to distant future I may need to forget about life outside of my nice blue bubble!
Sometimes it's good to be in a position where you don't need to know what's going on unless it affects you directly. Hope you're OK though with your comment about forgetting life outside your bubble. Ernie sends a big hug 😊
Wonderful vlog again! Captain Erns looking super handsome! Now don’t forget to buy the life jackets and anchor! I believe according to Heidi that is is required to be on board at all times on the river.
Hi Eric, yes life jackets got for all 3 of us. Anchor sorted. Advisable for rivers but actually not essential for the river weaver apparently as its controlled by sluces. Better to have and not need though isn't it 😉😀
Hello guys nice to see you at the end of the shoppy and now going on a new stretch of water, it's a pleasure to watch such a funny trio that makes my Wednesday evenings special. I remember Action men l pestered my parents for one but got a cheaper version Johhny goes to war, but action man's clothes hung off him story of my life 😂. Hope you have a great week ahead , Simon & Earl Earls a bit under the weather he's got the trotts, he will insist in drinking the canal water lol😂.
Oh no sorry to hear Earls a little poorly. Have you used oralade before, you can get it off amazon, its really great for boosting their amount again. 😊
A great build up of trepidation before attempting the the River Weaver😮Visions of the crew clinging to a log being swept downstream 😱I must admit some bits of the Severn gave me squeaky bum but l’m sure you’ll be fine 😊
Exactly what I said when he only came back with one 🤣 we have actually kept the old one for now as an emergency one as it hadn't snapped or anything so until we get a spare that's our spare 😉 😊
We chatted on the middlewich branch. I was in my shady spot and mentioned the weaver. However, when i got to middlewhich, i turned right 🤷. So im now on the Macclesfield. Sorry for putting the thought in your head then changing my mind 😂😎
Hi there, yes I remember that perfect shaded spot you had there. We did manage to find a shaded spot but not half as good as you bagged yourself 🤣 Glad you did put the Weaver in our heads, don't be sorry, unless all my fears of being on a river happen and something drastic happens....then be sorry 🤣🤣🤣 ha ha hope you enjoy the Macclesfield may bump into you again once we finish on the Weaver. Hopefully we will all be looking for shade again if summer returns to us 😊
Hi there, I close all windows as soon as the sun starts setting and touch wood we don't seem to get any on boat just the odd one bites when out walking Ernie.
Nice to see you go past today. We are moored in Northwich tonight then we are going up to the Vale Royal lock in the morning with friends. Then turning back in two days back to Saltersford lock. We may bump into you again. 😊hope you are enjoying the river. Xx
No.88 Bit disappointing with title, is it safe to go on river?. I was expecting pirates, tidal waves, bit of canal boat bashing- keep living the dream , love you both 😍
Are you referring to myself and Paul? Paul was a joiner and I was an office worker..nurse definitely doesn't fit my character, I'm probably the least sympathetic person going 🤣😉😊
Hi there, according to the signs in the museum part spring 2025 but I do think that is money dependant so may change . They estimate it costing around 15million

Hi, great vlog as always, you might get away with adjusting the fan belt, its pretty straight forward to do , if not ask Ernie😂😂😂
Ernies sorted it, fitted a new one, tightened it and then sat down with a chew..sorted 🤣🐾 😊
