Hey Earl. Back before brushless motors became the standard, I always built my electrics with the fastest brushed motors I could find. Before I got a good feel for proper gearing , I always tended to gear too high and ended up with poor control. I was mainly building cars and they were too fast for me. I'd lose control too easily. And fast servos were way too expensive. Steering was a problem for me as well. Eventually I geared lower and wow did that help. When I built my nitro's, I used the stock gearing, 2 speed transmissions. Had no trouble running those. Now I'm only running nitro and finding them to be much faster and servos are better. Your video's that show you doing work are very good. You have been doing this for awhile it is obvious. Have fun.
goodness! I am glad I bought mine from a buddy who already had a 23t pinion....this is quite the job for this truck. it is so much easier to change on my other Arrma trucks and cars.
Great stuff buddy. 👍 I HATE that Red threadlock!!! I personally use touch of the Blue just to make sure bolts hold firm, with the satisfaction knowing I can easily undo them again as & when. I didn't see you use any threadlock on motor mount etc.... Unless I missed it! Hopefully bolts stay Snug. 👍 👍
I had the same issue with the bottom motor mount screw, the hole in the chassis was too small for the screw to come out. I used a hand deburring tool and made the hole a little bigger.
I just did mine today installed a 25T . Earl when you get a chance go to my page and look at what happened to the differential on my DBXL-E 2.0. The rear housing is no good
Wow, I was thinking of changing my pinion quick before a get to blast a bit with my daugther. I ordered also a 30t pinion and will wait before I change it. It´s quite a job! :) Thanks for that video!! PS: how did the Kraton ride with that 23t pinion? Would 30 be too big?
Like your videos bud, I tried changing my center differential also to 20 mill but dam screw heads kept snapping. I need to buy a new diff case. How did you make out with that?
Does you spur gear slide back n forth like 1/8"?...my Outcast 8s does ...there's space between spur gear and ball bearing that causes mine to float bk n forth
Hey u did figure out wat cussed that lag on the diffs wen u wer testing the center diff n did u fix it? Cuz I have the same identical problem on my shredder
Hey boss any tips on setting up the mesh running a 18t pinion on my kraton 6s super stoked on it but I'm not getting the paper trick down any suggestions ? Any info would be much appreciated
The videos are so much better without the background music
CaRnAgE_4_Justin ya I was trying to drown out the dryer noise 💪💪🔥🔥👍👍thanks for the comment

There was so much left over that’s dried up there no way they will back off but we will see I normally use the gel so it doesn’t dry up 💪💪🔥🔥👍👍

This is why they take the time to make manuals for us to read LOL
Nice upgrade and nice video
Thanks 🙏
Yo!!! Looking good brotha! Finally SUBBED up!!!!!

Nice bench video earl!!👍👍🤘🏻💯
Thanks
They make a tool for C-clips it's kinda like a Allen key 🤜🏻🤛🏻
I laid my soldering iron across the pinion gear and it came off with 2 screwdrivers.
I used a soldering iron too and I was able to remove one of the top screws but the second one I stripped the screw 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Your the man
Thanks 🙏
Nice man👍 I said the hell with the C clip🤣👍
Hahahahaha I can see why 💪💪🔥🔥👍👍

What a bad design wow. Knowing that on my E-Revo it takes 1 screw to remove the motor
