Grabs coat, gets in car and drives to Sam's club to buy an entire pork loin and cut my own! Gonna make this one for sure! I was skeptical about it falling apart and looking ugly like the chicken. So I think I will cut larger pieces and can them this way. You are just full of great recipes and information! One of my favorite channels!
I usually cube and make strips with my pork. I am loving this recipe...something different so as not to have the same old, same old. Next you should try brisket. In Feb. my Kroger affiliate had brisket on sale for $1.99 a lb. I bought a 16 lb. brisket, partially cooked it, trimmed the fat, made a broth from the juices. I cut the meat in slabs and put 2 in a pint jar. I pressured canned 14 pints of brisket that is tastes even better than the roasts I usually can. Thanks for all that you do for all of us!!!
Whole pork loins were “buy one get one free,” so I have two in my fridge. Deciding how I want to can them. I can do multiple recipes in a single canner load, right? There are 11 pounds of meat. Pork chile verde, these pork chops, and maybe some with rosemary, balsamic vinegar, and white wine?
Very interesting!👍 What a great flavor combination! However, I will try to save the space in my jars and cube the chops. I think it will be just as lovely over rice. The jars are getting insanely expensive. The regular-priced ones are disappearing. So I am trying to pack them as efficiently as I possibly can. Thank you for the recipe!🥰
Thank you for this recipe. I too have Angi's book and am really enjoying it. I overlooked the 'spicy' pork chops since I am cautious about hot foods but am going to can this today.
I made this last night. It is moist, and held it's shape and texture. I do agree with you that it could use a bit more cayenne, and a pinch more of salt. But overall, it was a hit and I will be making this a staple in our pantry. My husband doesn't like a lot of spice, so he thought it was perfect. So easy to put over rice on a busy day. Thank you!
Thank you! I am cleaning out my freezer and have a LOT of pork chops that need to be eaten or canned. Since it's just me...canning is the way to go! This looks like a wonderful recipe! I'm so excited to try it!
This is good timing I was actually wanting to try canning pork chops myself! I love pork and pineapple together and the spice I'm definitely going to give it a try.
Looks so good, but I would have to cut the recipe in half like you did. My daughter doesn’t like pineapple, but I love it. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed day!
I love the idea of the whole pork chop in the jar thing, I was wondering about bbq sauce instead. Don’t eat pineapple but the bbq sounds delicious. I would season the chop with a rub and dilute the sauce a bit, add a little smoke maybe. I love the steak and onion gravy one, we’ve opened several jars of that. Love these meals in the jars. Thanks
Hi from Australia :). This looks, and sounds amazing. (I actually have that book and didnt know there recipe was there) I too thought the pork chop would fall apart.. so glad it didnt… thanks for youre awesome videos.
Wow. I would think that the pork chop would be tough since it is such a lean piece of meat. But you said it is tasty and falls apart. I am also shocked it stayed in one piece. I have got to try this recipe!! Thanks so much for sharing :-)
I actually just got this book in the mail today! I have not had a chance to look through it yet but I will definitely try out this recipe. It sounds pretty yummy to me!
Omg…I love pork chops! I’ve got to can these up, I have to. I agree, it seems it’s like a sweet and sour chops to me. I’d prefer spicy too….good to know
I loved the steak and onion. I can only do 4 pints at a time so when I find meat on sale I buy enough for a meal and 4 pints. As soon as I can I open one to eat to see if I will put on my Do Again list. Thanks for sharing this one, I will definitely try it in the future.
I have never canned whole pork chops, but just added them to my grocery list (if I can find some on sale)!. I wonder if you could substitute apple 🍎 juice for the pineapple 🍍. Maybe some diced apples 🤔 Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe!
That sounds good ... apples love pork ... less acidic than pineapple... maybe if you added a TB of vinegar it would work to tenderize..... but canning tenderizes anyway
Hi... I subscribed to you earlier after seeing your video about cordage ( which I found very informative and interesting). I also enjoyed your friendly delivery. I'm totally unfamiliar with canning ( I suspect it's something more usual in the States ( I'm in the UK). Loved this video and your presentation. Thank you and keep up the good work.
Pretty much sounds like a sweet teriyaki sauce that could be spicy with more cayenne. The sweet cuts the heat so maybe you adding the pineapple took out your little bit of cayenne heat. I wrote it down to add more bc we like HEAT, lol. Many Blessings from Deborah in West Virginia!
Do you have a terriyaki sauce recipe that can be canned? I have canned beef and was wondering if I had prepped sauce made if it would make a great dump and done meal. Looking for ways to use that canned beef cubes.
I have this in my canner right now as it sounded so good to me. But I didn’t have nearly enough liquid following this exact recipe. So I heated up some pineapple juice and just guessing how much I’d need. I still wound up topping off with hot water. I sure hope this is good. The convenience of having this on my shelf would be great
By any chance if you have time could you check out the recipe for the sausage, potato kale soup? Is that the same as Olive Gardens? I think I might get this book instead of the Ball one. She has many recipes there that I like. I will get the kindle version.
Aren't those DelMonte Gold Deluxe pineapple just so delicious? I buy them everytime I see them. I make carrot/pineapple juice. Perfect blend. Love the idea of pork chop in a jar. Would be delicious on rice.
Do you have a recipe for pressure canning venison? A friend gave me some venison and I want to can it and make sure that it has some flavour but not taste gamey.

Looks so good, but I would have to cut the recipe in half like you did. My daughter doesn’t like pineapple, but I love it. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed day!

Thank you for sharing new recipes and giving me courage to try new things.
Looks good. I will try this. I wonder if browning the chop first helps it come out of the jar intact.
This looks great ! I was also really happy to see it is tender... and we love pineapple. Going to make this recipe in a few days.
Thank you ❤️ PP
This is something I will try! Thanks for showing.
The old Kerr canning book has a recipe for canned pork chops, I know that it calls for browning them first but I don’t remember anything else.
Hi from Australia :). This looks, and sounds amazing. (I actually have that book and didnt know there recipe was there) I too thought the pork chop would fall apart.. so glad it didnt… thanks for youre awesome videos.
Just ordered the book. Any other recipes that you like in the book?

I found pork end chops for really cheap. I was wondering how the texture of those would be if I canned them. I'm going to try it now!

Your spicy pork chop looks Amazing!!! Thanks for sharing!! I have to try this recipe!! Does your recipe include the increase of red pepper????
Aren't those DelMonte Gold Deluxe pineapple just so delicious? I buy them everytime I see them. I make carrot/pineapple juice. Perfect blend.
Love the idea of pork chop in a jar. Would be delicious on rice.
Oh yes!
Could you cube up pork tenderloin instead? I have a bunch in the freezer I need to use up!
I would imagine if you sliced thin enough. Just don't overcrowd jar.
Guess you can even do this diced pieces then put all seasoning in cold /cold/cold thoughts?
what about adding large piece of carrots (bigger jars maybe )
Sure
No,not before. But doing it Now!
They all sealed and look good. But not opening yet. Got 2 pts., 1- 3/4 pt and 2- 1/2pt.
How do you think pork loin would do? Ive got some in my freezer, and that looks delicious! Thanks for this video❤️
I have never done this do I am not sure.
Your spicy pork chop recipe looks Amazing!!! Does your recipe include increase of red pepper?? Thank you for this recipe!!!
I will be adding some extra ginger and red pepper next time
@@PrepperPotpourri Thanks for the extra info!!
No I haven't but plan to tomorrow.
That would be delicious as Sweet & Sour Pork. Adding capsicum
Great idea!
Went & got my Pork today 😃
So 90 minutes for quarts?
Yes
Has anyone tried it with ginger ?
Could you put 3 chops in a pint jar ok? Would it be ok with the USDA?
I could not say. You wouldn't want to overcrowd the jar.
Do you have a recipe for pressure canning venison? A friend gave me some venison and I want to can it and make sure that it has some flavour but not taste gamey.
I do not. I understand that canning makes it nice and tender.
I might try this but cut up the pork into pieces, and then use for a stir fry.
what is the machine behind you?
Can i use pink hamalaya salt ?
It is not advised because this salt may have other minerals in it
Allergic to pineapple; could apples and apple juice be subbed?
Yes
My husband does not like pineapples pineapple juice what can I use instead
Apple juice
Making sure my sub sticks, Watching, Thumbs up, and commenting!
Thanks!
Make filet mignon in a jar and I’m all over it!
Do you think you could do 4 in a quart for 90 minutes? My husband and I would want two each lol.
Probably
That looks good maybe you could even use pineapple zucchini on it
Looks delicious. Thinking maybe chicken breasts might work with this too?
I'm not sure. Thickness may be a concern.
Pork chop in a jar? YES. Canned for years...and years.
Allergic to iodine
Gotta try this one! Thank you
