Sarah, the new chairs are beautiful but because the cane portion of your existing ones is so beautiful, get someone to reupholster it with a great neutral, so you can just move it around the house as your house changes/ evolves, love your channel

I was watching on my tv and switched to pc just to be able to come here and say the same as ivanete. Love the channel and I also love Rachel's. That 25 cent ring holder? Why not reupholster in that green color (looks like emerald). I'm not sure if olive green is the signature color you were looking for. Maybe it's emerald color you are looking for? Anyway both are beautiful and is truly your call.

I agree with reuphostering the old chairs. The older chairs look better made and of higher quality than the new. They are also not cookie cutter and with your custom choice of fabric, they will be entirely unique to you!
The chairs look nice and if you love them keep them! I liked the cane-sided, vintage chairs, and for the same $ you could reupholster them with the exact green you like. 😊
I’ve priced them to reupholster. Around $800 before buying fabric. I am doing a Ralph Lauren inspired Den/Study, so I might just keep the green for in front of the Fireplace.🥰
Maybe get a second quote on the reupholstering because that sounds overpriced 😊
Love the color of the new chairs, but I can't help but see the shape and think of all of the waiting room chairs from Dr's offices, lobby of businesses, and cheap hotels. How about reupolstering your vintage ones?

I think the new ones are pretty but the older ones are more of a match. I personally think the yellow gold it gives also complements the accents in the room. However if you just want green reupholster. 😊 Have a great day ❤

I think the new chairs work fine with the vintage look. A pop of modern is actually a design trick to keep a room from looking too “grandma” .

Sarah. The important thing isn’t whether we like the chairs or not but if it makes you love your room more and that Titus is alright with them. I love the vintage chairs because of the (canning ?) but you can always use them somewhere else in your home. You have great style. Go with what your heart tells you. 😊
I think the new chairs look nice especially once you dressed them up with the pillow and throw. I would have probably instead spent that money to have old ones reupholstered in olive green. I love the caning on the older ones. And you can't beat the quality of older furniture.

The quality, also, is better in the old chairs. Everyone likes a change, though, so what's important is what makes YOU happy ☺☺!
Hi Sarah,just watched video again and decided that the new chairs,though they are pretty, just dont flow with the vibe you have going in there. As other viewers mentioned they are a bit modern,like retro modern, and a bit too bulky looking in that space. The vintage chairs are so beautiful and looked perfect. I say leave "well enough" alone and return new chairs,spend that $ on a new front door😊

Hi Sarah .....so many opinions but in the end you have to like it 😊. Now I’ll give you my opinion😉.... the green chairs are a nice shade but I think too modern or just not the right shape to give that eclectic look. The Cain chairs are beautiful....I would redo the cushions in a fabric of your choice and maybe not cover the chairs with the pillows and throws to show them off. Sarah if you love the chairs then that’s all that matters. You might want to keep the others and have them re upholstered. In a coordinating green. It will give you more setting in the living room.

I say go with what you love. The olive green is such a soothing color. I think that space needed chairs with simple lines and soft rounded curves. You do such a good job mixing modern with vintage.

When you first took the cover off I was like “no way” but then seeing them with the pillow and seeing your face with how much you loved them, then I liked them more. I still love the original and if it was me I probably would have had them recovered. But the new ones add a nice touch. Ultimately it’s what you love . ❤

I liked the first Target chairs better~to me the current chairs are ultra modern and trendy. However~I really love💚your style and home, and the color is very good. You have some beautiful pieces. I'm a thrifter, too, and my sofa and recliner are the only "new" items in my home!
