43 years ago the Adelaide was a static display on the river bank. I was last there about 12 years ago when the river was very low. Probably 20 feet lower!!
Sure was Brian, re-floated in 1984 to become the oldest working paddlesteamer in Australia and the second oldest wooden hulled paddle steamer still operating anywhere in the world. What a beauty!
@@7six3 It is. We used to water ski in Echuca/Moama back in the 70's, saw "her" sitting in the park for years, it was really good to know it was returned to the river.
We're obviously looking at different things, the water is less than 1ft from the top of the exisiting levees around town, with a mammoth sandbagging effort and second emergency levee being constructed through the night.
