I have the 2016 128T second edition (came with the rail system but no rod holder or paddle clips). Pretty stock aside from an anchor trolley. Looking to put a trolling motor on it shortly. Going to use the rod holders behind the seat to make a mount for it. Something like this imgur.com/Iuwo3OB
+Jerrami Lydic Yeah man thats cool ive been thinking about this on the back of mine but i want to devise a mount with a lift sort of like an outboards trim function to raise and lower the motor at the touch of a button something like this www.ebay.com/itm/12V-100mm-4inch-Linear-Actuator-Motor-6mm-s-330lbs-For-Electric-Medical-Auto-Use-/272219061059?hash=item3f61853b43:g:laAAAOSwx-9WzWf5
I wouldn't lift it with them but I move it around and position myself with them I don't think they are designed to hold the weight of the kayak if lifted
I think yes if you don't have to paddle to far out it is heavy and a beast to paddle I'm about 205lbs and all my gear ans battery it heavy I manage to paddle around the lake for 6- 8 hours with a workout afterwards
I'm not sure you will make it 30 miles on a single charge with a trolling motor on a single battery but it's worth a shot! Ive had a motor on it with a deep cycle agm and made it out and back starting was 13.1 on battery and after all day and back in it was drained down to 11.8 fished for about 8 hours and went around 4- 5 miles out so about 10 miles round trip, you could set up a solar panel on the back to keep a charge on the battery
Michael Norris yea I'm not trying to go out that far lol my bad not explain myself clearly. Basically 10 miles out and ten miles in with some for trolling and extra for emergency. Would never venture out past ten miles.
Nice work on the battery box guy👍
Awesome setup!
+Jerrami Lydic Thanks man i have a few other things in mind but i like it the way it is now it really catches interest on and off the water.

I've seen trolling motors mounted on the square rail at the rod holders in the rear. Clamped right to it.
I noticed two side bars running along the top sides of the kayak. How did you mount those. I really like it.
Those are Hobie H rails And they mount using only one bolt through the bottom on each end
how strong are the Hobie rails. can you lift, strap down with them? nice set up man.

does ur kayak take in water? i fish 4-12 hours and i get abt 20-30 oz water in
Addicted Angler No rarely any at all unless I take on a lot of wake but still not much to matter
Nice old ford
Tyler Rawson it's a good one
do you think this would be a great kayak for offshore fishing??

Michael Norris my plans would be for offshore fishing so I would want a motor and battery for about 30 miles

I think you would be fine the stability is great
