Dan Abnett got me into it. Now I wish I would have read his stuff earlier!
My first book was Horus Rising. Dan Abnett has done many good books & has contributed so much towards the setting. It wouldn’t be the same without him.
“Everything is canon, but not everything is true.”
That’s how I approach 40k; the very codexes themselves are Imperial propaganda.
I do like that approach. Just blends so well with the overall theme of the setting. 10/10
Oh yeah i remember the story of "40k in my little pony" that was fun xd
Long answer, yes.
Yeah… that does a better job summarising than me rambling for 4+ minutes 😂
@@AlexAttemptsTabletop nah man. You were waaaayyyy more entertaining than my quick answer!
I think at this point, we have to.
I think even if a small percentage can make a cool contribution to the setting with storytelling then I’m down for it.
I've already been saying since there's hardly any new warhammer fantasy books, the community controls the lore, we've already taken it from them. Star wars is proof that corporations should not control what is "canon"
I’m intrigued to see how WHF/OW progress book-story wise. I was never around for WHF but been happy to see the buzz the community has created-maintained for it. Star Wars be Star Wars… I’ve liked ‘some’ of the new stuff but unfortunately corporations will happily disregard anything what made it for a quick buck. Imo of course 🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for stopping on by 😌
Yes yes and yes.
Aye that’s fair 😅
