Just remember, Dali voice their speakers with the GRILLS ON! The grills should be on to get the best sound out of them. Some people say the treble is harsh - thats because the grills are off.
Going on memory, I had the Spektor 1 and the Oberon 1 in my system a few years back. I found the Spektor 1 overall quite nice (coming from Focal 807Ws) overall with less resolution and detail than the Focals. It came across as sounding smaller (no surprise) but fairly well balanced presentation. It did however take some power to get going but played fine at room levels. I didn't think the Oberon 1 was a notable upgrade, while producing more bass I found them a tad to laid back, nort for music but for movie soundtracks and a bit less dynamic than expected, but I was used to the Focals. Still, not a huge upgrade in SQ from Spektor to Oberon IMO and from memory, form my remembering I felt that way. Today I have the Opticon MK1 which I really like, its a notable step up in resolution, detail, imaging, etc and easier to drive despite being 4 ohms. Plays fine with music and movies. Other speakers may provide a more euphoric sound, such as additional highs, wispness, etc., but I find the Opticon 1 to be well balanced in most regards (bass is commensute with size), but especially with a sub, the bass, mids and highs are nicely balanced. With a sub, there is no brightness and they have more resolution, inner detail, dynamic range and aren't too laid back for soundtracks and voices like the Oberon. Prices are relatively high compared to other brands, at least in the States. Overall, I like the Opticon 1, even more than the Menuet SE which while having greater resolution, I found overly refined. The Opticon 1 gave up a bit of resolution and body to the Menuet but sounds more satisfying for me. AS to body, you get more with the Opticon then the Spektor or the Oberon. On budget, I would go for either Spektor or Oberon if discounted or a good price used. Otherwise, consider an Opticon. Don't know how the Opticon 1 MK2 differs, perhaps a but better resolution and smoothness? The Opticon 2 MK2 frequency curve seems to follow what dali did with the Menuet SE, but I never heard the MK2 versions. Hope this adds some usefulness.
Nemo Propoganda didn’t like them. Thought they were way to sibilant. The market is getting flooded with budget speakers under 500.00 from high end companies.
I had a pear myself go clarity image but there's a lot of cut manufacturer do with crossover poor quality parts and insulation of dampness insulation in box no braces in the box the furry overpriced decent drivers bass and tweeter is very good driver's it's very disappointing the made in China that's the reasons why I give my view on them I won't be buying them again I'm very disappointed they crit the problems decent insulation. Dampness decent crossover put a brace in the cabinet properly very accent for the price £399 in the UK 🤔😒
не спец, спорить не буду, но там основной прокол в фильтре именно в посредственной индукции, которая при громкости примерно выше середины от возможной начинает уводить басы.

I love the sound of Oberon 1 they sound amazing & I’ve had lots of different speakers in my time
Most entertaining speaker review . 👍
I have the Dali Oberon 3,the highs are forward and sparkle but are not harsh
I love these Columns! ;)
Nice review, and pretty much what I have observed.
How does Spector 2 sound in comparison with Oberon 1?
