Although the song is about a "camba" girl, it indeed is a bolivian song and it is dedicated to a girl from the "Oriente" Boliviano. So, in essence, because of the origin of its composer and author it actually is from the Bolivian Andes in origin. OK?

She could be from Pando, Beni, Santa Cruz, or any of the other regions in that part of the country. The rhythm is a "Taquirari" and it can also be interpreted in different rhythms such as bolero, cumbia, cueca, etc. etc. But beyond all that, the COMPOSER was born in Oruro.
