How to Prove if Three Points Are Collinear or Not

I am using this logic to write a piece of code in Java which tells if given points are colinear or not. The issue is when a line is tangent to x-axis, x2-x1=0. So while calculating m, code is throwing exception as denominator is 0. Will need to define some exception I think.

bcs you have 2=2+c, so to isolate the c you have to subtract 2 from both sides, so 2-2=0
