8.8% Shooting this year for Caufield. Last year he had 16.5%. If he had that shooting percentage last year this year he would have 56 goals 37 assists for 93 points. Stop calling this guy a playmaking 2 way winger. He isnt. He just came off of a shortened season with shoulder surgery having all the eyes on him and got unlucky. Matthews had 40 in his down year. He had a 12.2 shooting percentage. If Caufield had that. He would be at 38. So when you look at the numbers. He didnt have a bad season. Just unfortunate one. He played like a star.
As the season got deeper, he was going into the dirty zones again. He's going to be fine, yet, so many are questioning his size. Smart quick thinking hockey players are able to do that without issues.
@carycwilliams his size isn't his issue, we've seen him deep in a playoff run being a threat. All that he has to do is keep playing the way he was, his shooting percentage is bound to go back to normal
@@HunterMagunter Never said size was an issue. There are a lot that think it is already, I think he's just getting started and the should was made better after the injury.
@@flackjacket3dits While his stats per game were down, he still had a career year across the board. He's established himself as a productive forward in a whole season, that's not nothing. If that's his baseline, he's still a really good player. Now he ca absolutely build on that next year.
With him scoring 28 goals in 2023/24, I don't believe that he had a down year. He improved in all 3 major categories and stats. Cole had a career high 28 goals, 37 assists and 65 points. Any opportunity he had to finish the season with his personal best, it's a good year. Caufield may achieve a point per game in 2024/25 or close to it. I was thinking between 75-82 points for next season.
@Pix3lPalace wings are the definition of mid, don't really know how you're happy with ben chiarot and jeff petry on your blueline but hey to each his own. Enjoy being at best a wildcard for the next decade😂😂

He will score 50 one day, I'd be willing to bet on it
@@HunterMagunter 40 next year
But he IS good at playmaking also. His D has also much improved. He's a great player.
@@user-bi6cl9rt9o He's also been pretty physical this season. I'm really impressed by how far his overall game has come.
now imagine how much pressure will be gone with patty laine

@carycwilliams agreed, he's gonna be the Habs first 40 goal scorer in over 25 years. He's got all the tools
Goal Caufield will have a good year next year, shoulder surgery was a big reason for the down season
That and he’s trying to expand on his game. Rather than JUST being a goal scorer, he now has the pedigree of being a playmaker too.
@@TheMemeBorrower. fr, he added a bunch of new things to his game. He's more complete now
Down season???
@@hockeyislife7686 he scored at a 46 goal pace last year, goal wise it was objectively a down year

Habs finally have a valid first line. Lets see how will the guys mature together. Future is looking bright... for now :D
Now they need to add to the 2nd line of Dach and Newhook. I'd like Marty Necas on that line but I guess time will tell
that second goal was absolutely insane.
Smiech Caufielda je ako ohňostroj , alebo prskavka.Je to milénium.❤❤❤
Let’s put it this way, 3 OT winners have in the first 5 goals is 3 playoff points. Points matter. Clutch matters
Pierre Houde solo wipe all those announcers
Easily the best commentator imo
Korchinski got absolutely annihilated
WOW!
at 2:10 i know cole score a goal but too much player on the ice for mtl seem to me
❤❤❤ Viliam ❤❤❤
hé le buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut!

Hes the reason your wings didn't earn enough points to make the playoffs 😂😂 enjoy that yzerplan
