People don’t realize how hard it is to make a character be loved and admired by its viewers, by making Levi a bad ass killer and to show how hard his childhood was, the way he evolved everything is a masterpiece of character
Isayama revealed that even though Captain Levi seems cold heated and emotionless, deep down he feels everything and he cares deeply about his comrades, he just doesn't show it.
My favourite character of the whole series. Consistent writing, didn't thank Eren and treat eren like a "noble hero", his conclusion was a tear jerker for me. He was even the last one to do the iconic salute. People are saying him being caught by the spear is a bad thing but for me it was good. It showed that he can be vulnerable and that he's not invincible which makes it realistic and it high lighted his other capabilities (leading) other than his fighting skills. He was injured and didn't have time to heal but kept fighting, lead his team and created a plan, fast thinker, literally was ahead of everyone that the others would turn unto titan and signalled mikasa and pieck to hop on falco right away. I can go on and on. Gosh, I love him.
Agree. Levi's conclusion is kind of sad, but in a way a good one. Up until that incident with the thunder spear, his entire character seemed to be tied to his fighting skills. For many people he is nothing more than just another badass character with cool fight scenes. They even think fans would stop liking him just because he got injured and ended up maimed. Maybe it is true for certain fans, but personally I love him even more. He's no longer this OP character who never loses (I'll argue that he only wins the fights, but almost all the time he lost in one way or another-failed to cut Annie out, failed to secure the beast, failed to save his friends. He fails horribly even though he is in fact very OP. I think that's why I never actually feel he is too OP). The injuries make him human again, not that cool fighting machine that everyone had been relying on. And most importantly, he doesn't seem to care too much about his disability. He moves on despite everything. You'd expect this kind of character to have a huge ego and wouldn't accept a life like that. But no, this is Levi Ackerman. He accepts whatever life has to offer and keeps on living. Yes, I absolutely love him.

But I think that Isayama won't kill him so easily and since we have only 3 chapters left, hes gonna survive following everything happening rn
I tend to avoid animes that are considered popular as I'm always unsure if it's given to much credit or people only likeing it due to popular opinions. Having watched this I'll admit these artists have outdone themselves in terms of angles and perspective change. Drawing is one thing but to have such smooth animation transitions and detail to fighting style and movement aswell as enlarging monsters to create a sense of inferiority is seriously impressive. I think I'm going to give this series a go.

More than Eren I like levi because whatever he has is on his own ability! He even kicked Eren in court when court was discussing if Eren is dangerous or not! Levi was never ever afraid of Eren
Honestly, Levi is the crazyness and amazingness of Isayama in one character. I think it was really difficult to create the character of Levi because his story has to be emotional and sad and heartbreaking but he doesnt show any emotions troughout the show, which makes him a badass. I think he is so loved because of the fact that he never gives up even though so many people that he cared about dies and the fact that he is so heartbreaked that its seems he doesnt have any emotion. For example SPOILER when Hange dies, you can clearly see the pain in his eyes, but unlike anyone else he doesnt cry (even though he knew Hange way better). I also think he "lost his emotion" when he decided to end up regretting the choices he made in the past, because Regret is one of the most important emotions in my opinion. Levi is and will always be a fucking masterpiece and honestly my favourite character. RIP Hange we loved you so much and you will always stay in our hearts
