When people say they miss the old Charice, I understand that it is out of sincere affection for the girl that made us all so happy. However, I hope these very same people realize that she is actually still here with us, and she needs our support as an artist. I fear that focusing so much on the past has kept many from enjoying her newer performances. If you haven't yet, please watch her stirring renditions of "Bukas na Lang Kita Mamahalin", "Through the Fire", and "Lay Me Down" with David Foster in 2015. She also sang "Let It Go" and "I'm Not the Only One" in ASAP. Look past the hair and enjoy the songs.
And I hope that you could still support her endeavors like her albums post-coming out, Chapter 10 (2013) and Catharsis (2016). She poured her heart and soul into these projects, especially the last one where she composed all the songs. For me, there is no old or new Charice. She is the same person whatever she wears or however she chooses to cut her hair. She is currently on a break from singing and I don't know when or if she'll come back. So I am with you when I say I miss Charice, the one and only.
