Wrong! As a private investigator for nearly three decades, I'm pretty well versed in cameras, recording and privacy laws. It's illegal to place a camera in bathrooms, changing rooms and bedrooms... all places where others have a reasonable expectation of privacy. In most states it's a felony offense. That being said, if a couple is in a bedroom with the curtains wide open then anyone can video them from the street or sidewalk. You just can't be on their property.
Does that apply when it's your own home? You should be able to record your own premises within reason of course. Just curious.
One of My neighbors has cameras pointed directly in the front of my house/driveway & my entire backyard, so everytime I go outside, mow lawn, bbq, garden, come home, bring in groceries, etc I'm being watched by this old creepy man. Is that legal?

If your decorative lasers just happen to point at your neighbors cameras disabling their feed...oops! Also, a 3 pack of pointer lasers is $10 at Walmart(on-line). I'm just saying.
