  • For years, Cyber City has been the commercial centrepiece of Gurgaon; lakhs flood in to work every day to devote their time, effort and knowledge to some of the biggest corporations there. Cyber Hub evolved as an extension of Cyber City, and the parallels between Gurgaon’s eating and drinking capital and Social are striking. They burst onto the scene around the same time with the purpose of creating something iconic, and to offer a space for folks to find their own spot under the sun, in an ever-evolving landscape.
Gurgaon is a ghetto of urban migrants, or a basti, as we'd say in India. Conceptually, the new Social uses design thinking (if one can call it that) and references from Mumbai bastis and chawls, and has interpreted how people interact and eat in dense urban settings, down to dividing the space into smaller pockets of activity.
With ceramic tiling at the bar, and desi-chic stainless steel racks which hold the bar together, it’s hard to believe the space isn’t straight out of a Bollywood film set. Cyber Hub Social's workspaces are designed to look like kholis on the outside - high tech cubicles on the inside that mirror the look of an endless corridor of rooms in a chawl.
#CyberHubSocial #gurugram #party truly has evolved into a space that symbolises community living - a place that stands for unity, togetherness, security, camaraderie, cultural essence and ethos - minus all of the pretences of modern day life.
