Thank you so much for posting this video. I’ve been cutting my own hair for the last year and I would always tweak here and there without 100% knowing. Your way to fade with half open, full open and full close made it work perfectly. My haircut turned out like I went to the barber. Thanks again my friend.
A lot more people should watch you bro your slept on
Thank you man. I’m working hard af rn so I won’t be slept on
Amazing work brother! Thank you for being so clear on your tutorials.
My brotha 💪 appreciate the support and feedback! What other vids should I drop !??
@@DavidEscamilla153I know it might sound basic but I think a video on just basic edge ups and clean ups could be useful..cuz I find that some clients don't want much done, like they just want an edge up, but I feel like I'm doing incomplete work u know? So how can I do the edge up and still bring the natural hairs style together to make it look complete bro?
Brilliantly explained
finally found a good tutorial, you explain every step perfect legend🙌
Bro!!! I thought it was just me with the 1.5. I can never get it out when I go straight to the 1.5 guard either! Thanks G!
I got you !!!!
Love this video bro. I’m about to cut my own hair with your steps!!
thank you bro❤
So amazing! Thank you for posting this video, I got some ideas and tecniques.
*You are much cuter and much beautifuller than ideas and techniques. Wood you be interested date Korea man? I only been in prison just once.*
My guy in the splash zone @10:29
Appreciate the content. Good work 🤙
Amazing bro! You’re a big help!
Thanks bro ! What other videos should I drop bro !?
@@DavidEscamilla153 I would like to see a vid demonstrating in depth on clipper over comb to blend perfectly onto bulk or more scissor work vids, I’ve been struggling getting that down. Thanks brother
Perfect tutorial thank you
Awesome tutorial 🙌🏼
Ty !!!!!
Yeaah bro u know ur stuff, I appreciate your fetal im currently in school barber school
What’s up bro! I made a new academy recently where I mentor people and have exclusive content 🙌
Perfect cutting high skin fade you are a professional barber where are you from sir
Orange County bro !!! Wbu ?
fading up like you do is creating lines. nothing wrong with that cause sometimes that is needed. i tend to use way too big guards and blade in every section to begin with it. it doesnt create the lines and as i work further down the head i tightened the lever. in the barber world we call it fading up vs fading down. im more of a fade down guy
Thanks for the feedback bro! Appreciate you for supporting and viewing my content 🙏
What are your steps to fade down?
@@jonathanrudolph5985 if doing a bald fade I like to work the upper part of the fade area first all the way around the head. Maybe 000 guard open then middle part of fade area 000 closed but of course don't go high up on the head as the 000 open was. Then lastly bottom of the fade area no guard clipper open to halfway as needed. Then spot work no guard closed bit stay really low on the head and work corners of blade. This is the best I can explain this technique. Don't get me wrong I'm learning that fading up and putting guidelines In the hair does have its place too sometimes
@@dirtyreg22 i thought you said you fade down, arent u supposed to start with a 2 open
@@jonathanrudolph5985 whatever size guard is needed for the length of hair your working on so yes you could start with a 2 if it cuts the hair
not saying it wrong or right but from the time you put your first guide line in i would have started with my biggest guard needed and worked my way down. so in essence i would have cut the top of the fade first and as i got lower in the blend tightened my guards and lever down from there. so at the bottom of the blend i would have had the clipper at its lowest point on the lever.
There’s so many ways to do a fade bro. I agree, we could start from top to bottom or vice versa 💪🙏
@@DavidEscamilla153yea fading up or fading down is just a matter of preference, if you following your steps and making the end result the same, how u get there is just essentially what YOU are comfortable with
You mean half guard not #1 after you use the #1 red guard?
I think I made a mistake ! Yes the half guard is after the #1
Idk for me the initial skin line is too low to be a high fade. That skin line is more like a mid drop almost. If i did this my clients would immediately ask me to do it higher. This is more of a stretched out mid drop to me.
Man, I’m assuming that’s a difficult head shape to do it on? There’s literally no presence of the occipital bone-contour whatsoever…. But turned out ok
@eeiko321 Yeah there are some hair types where i would start my high fade a tad lower only because its a difficult canvas but not that much lower. He basically skinned it midway with a drop in the back and just stretched the blend out a lot so it looks like a mid high fade. I live in texas and i used to live in miami as well and in both those areas if someone asks for a high fade and you start it that low they will either stop you right away and ask you to do it higher or they will wait midway through the cut to tell you to go higher lol.
He said it’s a mid to high fade
@crain03able Its still too low to be a mid high fade. Mid high fade you would start around the temple removing the hooks from the fade entirely. This is a mid fade lol the only reason it looks high is cause he made his guidelines big to stretch the blend out a good amount
He’s contouring it to his head shape to give him a not so flat head shape
Nice video bro
Ty brotha
How do you like the saber clippers? I have the rebels and ergos and I just ordered these cause people said they fade amazingly. Going to put the faper blade on it though.
I love the sabers bro ! If you look back on all my recent videos I’ve dropped I’ve used them!
I just got a discount code for them too bro! David10 if you ever buy anything !!
@@DavidEscamilla153 thanks my guy! Would you pick them over the rebels?
Buen video
Gracias !!!
No good if you have standard clippers..so I'd best invest in some decent I'll ones
Is hightop is the same thing as high fade?
Nooo! High top is a hairstyle !
I hate fading the 1 open guideline... I can perfectly blend 0 and 0.5 ....but i hate the second guideline...most of the time i erase my number
😐😐😐
It’s a work in progress! Are your machines 0 gapped !?
@@DavidEscamilla153 im so grateful for your response. Yes they are zero gapped. ..im using a bbfx like urs and another one. The problem is i cant make extended fades...
I stopped using the one open and after no guard clipper open I make one more guideline with the 1 1/2 guard closed and take that out by flicking out and lever play with the 0 or 1/16 guard
👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
💪
you dont flick when fading?
Sometimes bro! When I’m blending bulk or feathering 💪
why need to remove the guide, that is why not so good to look, the guide line is lossing
you gonna confuse people watching your Video. at the 7:38 mark you're using the half guard not the number 1 guard. and that fade is too high for a mid fade in my opinion
Thank you for the feedback I think I made an error w the caption 🙏
Confusing as fuck that clip
Ay man I appreciate this, u gave me the grasp on the steps that I needed...the respect the guidelines is great advice...never move to a higher level with a guard lower than what u used there and u will never push the line up! 🖤🪬🖤
