Wow Vanessa, thank you SO much for your sweet message. I am also a substitute teacher in Ontario and totally understand where you are coming from. I hope you know that today you impacted me positively with your message, and I am wishing you the most wonderful Christmas and New Year. You are enough, keep shining your light! 🥰 And to Morgan - loved your ornament story-telling! It wasn't boring at all and I hope that you continue to make beautiful memories to add to your tree every year...maybe a tire this year? Hahaha. Thank you for all that you do and bringing smiles to our faces ♥
Thank you Vanessa for that message! I am a substitute teacher in Texas. I worked this week before the Christmas/winter break. It was chaotic: christmas class parties, program, decorating cookies, passing presents…. But at the end of the day, it was all worth it, I love every single one of those kiddos.
Also, if you have the Libby App through your library, you can look at so many magazines and from all over the world! I know it’s not like holding a real magazine but it’s free! 😊 Love the shout out to Long Beach Island! We had a pretty darn magical childhood. I do have a question-does RoO shed? Because his cousin Daisy sure does! Thank you both for another great Vlogmas video. 🎄
Omg! 🥺 I want to say to the person who let the message that I remember every teacher from kindergarten to high school and I even see them on the street sometimes. I never stop them, but I have many beautiful and dear memories. The fact that I was not an excellent student and went unnoticed by everyone makes me have reservations, but every teacher left traces, lessons and very beautiful memories in my life.I am sorry that they will never know this but I am sure that there are many other people like me. I would just like all teachers to know that they are appreciated, observed, taken as an example, only not by who they think, but precisely by those who go unnoticed. At 35 years old, I still remember marveling at the fact that teachers know so many things and are so smart, something that I will never be. ❤😊
I just realized that one of the things I’ve most enjoyed about Morgan’s Vlogmas is the daily cavalcade of holiday sweaters. Between that and her coat and accessory assortment, I’ve been inspired to bring more holiday cheer to my own wardrobe! Look forward to Vlogmas annually and nightly during the holiday season. So much fun!
Vanessa, your message so squared with me. I was a teacher for 35 years and please believe me when I say that substitute teachers are a lifesaver for teachers. I tried to always be thankful for what you guys do. It is so hard to go around to a different classroom with different students every day. I substituted before I got my regular teaching job and not knowing your students day after day is sooo hard! Please know that teachers and principals soooo appreciate what you do!❤❤🎉🎉 hugs and thanks!❤❤
Wow, I never thought about how substitute teachers go unthanked before! 😮 I hope I can find ways to thank my kids' substitute teachers through the years as they grow now! Thank you for the eye opening message, Vanessa, and I see it meant a lot to many in the comments!
Loved hearing all about your Christmas tree ornaments! 🎄 I’ve collected ornaments my whole life and they all have a story or memory attached. It is so much fun getting them out every year and reliving all those cherished memories. 🥰 I could have watched a whole video of just that! Once again thank you for sharing your Christmas spirit with all of us. It is delightfully contagious and heart-warming! ❤️❤️❤️
That was such a wonderful message, Vanessa! I am also a substitute teacher....I retired last year from being a full time teacher for many years. This year was tough as a substitute because before I always had my own class...lots of parties, thank you gifts, and fun moments. I cherish my freedom and flexibility as a sub now, but it was still tough. Thank you for your sweet message and know that you are valued, its just in a different way.
Portland is a wonderful city. So many things to do and festive. Wished i lived there. Your tree is beautiful, Morgan. I love the stories behind the ornaments. My Mom is the same and even writes it all down. All ornaments and decorations from over 60 years. She lights up discussing where they came from and when. Every Christmas is a visit down memory lane. i cherish those times. I actually visited yesterday and that's exactly what we did. Thank you for your message Vanessa. I am a firm believer in the ripple effect. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas Morgan! At 8:39 when you are in the antique store there is a ceramic winking owl on a bureau. One of my favorite channels that is SO heartwarming is Great Depression Cooking With Clara. Clara was amazing lady and her grandson filmed her before her passing. She was a huge comfort to me during the pandemic and last year's Christmas when my husband had a near fatal heart attack. Clara had this exact owl in her kitchen. It was always in her videos. I felt it was a sign to share her with you and others in case you've never seen her. Rest in peace Clara ❤️🦉
I loved the stroll downtown 🤩I also really enjoy looking through interior design and architecture magazines. My go to Christmas movies every year are: A Christmas Carol (1938), It’s a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and all the old claymation films ❤
The curtains are used to ward off the cold and the draughts. it's usual in those natural stone houses that are often quite humid and cold, like churches...
Your videos have brought me so much comfort during a tough time. You've given me something to look forward to each day. Thank you for all that you do. Merry Christmas Morgan, Landon and Roo! ❤🎄😊
Hi Morgan, little tip for the moistness while having a fire in the stove: your water kettle. My mum does that and also uses the warm water for tea or to cook. Sometimes she puts pots on there while we eat to keep the food warm.
Thank you for sharing your ornaments and their stories…such wonderful memories. Our tree is the same way. It’s filled with handmade ornaments from our kids when they were little or handmade ornaments from friends and family. We also have a tradition of getting an ornament every time we go on vacation. It’s so fun to pull out the ornaments each year and reminisce❤️ Thanks for keeping me company while I wrapped gifts today🎄 Vanessa, thank you for sharing your sweet message. And thank you to ALL of the teachers, substitutes, assistants, principals, custodians, office staff, lunch workers, etc…everyone who works in schools. Your work is GREATLY appreciated and you’re making a difference in so many lives❤️ Merry Christmas🎄
Hi Morgan. Something else to watch out for in vintage shops might be a wood stove steamer. They’re usually cast iron and have lids with openings for the steam to come through.
Lovely Morgan, you have been such a comfort and positive influence throughout my year, and I am so grateful to you ❤ I am sending you all so much love and all the hugs from across the Pond. Have a wonderful holiday and every good thing in 2025.❤
I had a draft written up and was going to call tomorrow but after watching this video i dont think i could've achieved the same take away message that you have beautifully spoken and i don't want to sound like a broken record with a similar take-a-way message so Thank you very much Vanessa for calling with that message. You all are enough, you make a difference, even with a smile to a stranger. i love you all and hope you are all enjoying the moments in the day, gazing at nature around you, enjoying a laugh in your surrounding, or even feeling centered with a few deep breaths in your minute of slowing down.
Thank you so much Vanessa for your beautiful message. It's good to be reminded that our year isn't and shouldn't be "measured" by big things we do, but that it is made up of little things that are equally as important. To Mo, I agree with so many others - I loved listening the stories behind your Christmas tree ornaments. I love how they're not just generic ornaments, but that they're unique and each tell a story. In regards to Christmas stories to watch, apart from the ones you've already mentioned. I love the following movies as well: - Klause (it's my absolute favourite!) - The man who invented Christmas (it's a story about Charles Dickens and the Christmas Carol he wrote) - Dash and Lilly (a Christmas series - it's very cute) - Love at first site (not exactly a Christmas story, but the movie takes place on the 22nd/23rd of Christmas and it is absolutely beautiful!) -Happiest season -A Christmas carol (there are so many different versions lol) That's only a few😅. Hope you all have a lovely evening. Lots of hugs.
Morgan, your vlogmas videos have been a big source of comfort and upliftment for me this season. I grew up in PDX and am currently visiting my family here, so your videos also bring a lovely nostalgia for me! I was at Tuba Christmas pretty close to where you were (!), I’m sad I missed the opportunity to say hi lol! 🥲 Wishing you and Landon and Roo a most wonderful holiday time 🤎🤎
Thank you so much, Morgan, for taking the time to do vlogmas. Your videos have inspired me so much, with all the crafts and recipes and books. I look forward to watching your videos each evening and have been finding comfort in them, as certain parts of the holidays have been difficult for me. Thank you again! Wishing you, Landon, and Roo a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Daily vlogging is so your thing b, I always miss these when over 😭❤️ Appreciate youu! Pink and green a Wicked reference 😍 The Holiday have you seenn or Father Christmas orr A Princess For Christmasss? Yet again colour looks so good on you (thumbnail) Sending loveee
I love how your ornaments are meaningful 🥰 I would love to decorate my tree like that when I’m older 🎄also beautiful message Vanessa ❤️

Hey Morgan, 🦋 Your ornaments are so cute. I loved when you showed them. And have you ever watched Last Holiday (2006)? It’s my all time favorite feel good/comfort movie. If you haven’t, I highly recommend it. 🧡💐🌞
If you ever need a holiday movie to watch here are some of my favorites: The Family Stone, Rise of the Guardians, While You Were Sleeping, and Arthur Christmas.
You're missing my two favorite Christmas movies: Miracle on 34th Street (my family always watches the classic older version from the 40s, though I know the newer version from the 90s has many fans too) and the Muppet Christmas Carol (or any version of A Christmas Carol really, but I think the Muppet one is the most fun and it also follows the original Dickens text more closely than any other adaptation)!
I adore seeing people's Christmas ornaments. They are always so unique and just this one big story of who the person or family is. That Little Women one is incredible! I want to make one now too! Also, I so much love your sparkly green sweater! And to Vanessa I had a substitute teacher who was the reason I didn't give up on a subject I absolutely loved. I hated my regular teacher and really was ready to give up and stop taking the subject as soon as I could. But then I got a substitute and she was incredible. I ended up taking the same subject under a new teacher later and it was so worth sticking around for, all because of a substitute like you. Maybe you aren't covering for a bad teacher the students don't like, but my point is, I never got to tell that substitute that she was the reason I kept going. You are surely impacting lives. You may never see the fruit of your labor, but it is there ❤
If you are looking for another Christmas movie to watch and have Netflix I highly recommend 'Klus'. It is so unbelievably heartwarming and funny, and I feel like it does not get the recognition it deserves.
YES! I also left a message mentioning Klaus! I absolutely LOVE that movie. It is so beautiful from the music, to the animation style and way they incorporate every Christmas myths. It is just so good! And the humour is just so hilarious! "Don't mess with the postman" is one of my favourite scenes and I love Alba (the teacher)!
Ooh potpourri!! My grandma used to have a bowl of potpourri! 😊 The faces Roo pulls when he's on the sofa in his twisted position are just brilliant to watch! Definitely something that cheers me up!! 😂
Your house looks beautiful. The photo in the magazine, I believe the reason curtains were placed there were to be able to close them for privacy and a cold draft since those are old houses.
A great show I recently watched on Disney + was Billy and Molly an Otter Love Story. The story is touching and the cinematography is stellar. It's not Christmas but it has winter vibes
“It’s also kind of fun having something to look for.” Spot on! I try to adopt this mentality for things I want to buy that aren’t necessities. It’s so common these days for people - especially those with disposable income - to feel an urge to buy a specific thing and then immediately go online and order it (which obviously en masse contributes to all sorts of problems, from shipping waste and environmental impacts, to deceased patronage of local businesses, etc.). So now when I find myself wanting to buy a non-necessity, like a cute dress or a book, I’ll often wait to see if I find it organically. And you’re right, hunting for the item is fun in and of itself! And it makes finding it that much better. Like for the past couple of months I’ve been thinking about buying a green velvet dress, and then yesterday I happened to be at a vintage market and saw a high quality one from the 90s, at an affordable price, and it fit me perfectly! Needless to say, finding that dress felt like such an accomplishment.
Morgan have you ever seen "The Holiday" with Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz? It's my #1 most favorite Christmas movie and I save it to watch ON Christmas because I love it so much - I think you and Landon would enjoy it!
Wonderful Vlogmas Day 21 Morgan. It was so nice to see downtown Portland decorated for the holidays and hearing some of the free tuba concert. I also love English Home magazine. I used to treat myself to the Christmas issue every year and it always inspires and puts you in the Christmas spirit. That is a good price for a year subscription as single issues are expensive. I loved seeing the different ornaments on your Christmas tree and hearing the stories behind them. I have that Little Women book ornament too from Etsy. Love it. I have had mince tarts and plum pudding. You can buy them (vegan) or make them yourself. My grandparents were British so that is how I was introduced to them. Vanessa thank you for your wonderful message.
Thank you Vanessa for your message. I am retired and often felt under appreciated at work except by some of our clients. After retirement I heard some good things but while their not so much. I am in a blended marriage and never feel really wanted or loved by my now adult step children. I have tried so much to create a family, including spending a lot at Christmas and other occasions on them and bringing everyone together but still they will purchase something for my husband but nothing for me. I don’t actually care if they buy something or is just hand made, but nothing. It appears his family are all this way. Every Christmas I try again and then just feel sad after. The crazy part is I actually do more for them than their father, he cooks but does not think up, buy or wrap anything. And I decorate and help with the meal and snacks. Anyway we just had our Christmas yesterday and so I’m feeling kinda down and confused once again.
Hi Morgan, i’m french and I enjoy your videos a lot! That´s funny, mince pies are a must in my house every year before christmas and I was just thinking a few days ago you should try them 😊. Have a lovely christmas, Carole
The culture shock when I moved to England and Christmas Pudding, Christmas Cake, and Mince Pies were at all the festive gatherings 😅 I do quite like them but they're very unique and quite polarising. Fun fact, kids leave mince pies and sherry for Father Christmas over here too! Our American/British household also leaves cookies and milk. Full smorgasbord for Santa at our place 😅
Love your podcast dear Morgan .. my hubby said to find you a blacksmith and he will probably make you the kind of fire poker set like you want .. my husband made several when he was younger but he’s told now to do it ♥️
Morgan, do the dehydrated orange slices you made and hung have a fragrance? I'm wondering if I should do them. I feel like they would look good on my tree or in my window... I really love looking at beautiful things, too! And two of my favourite English (UK) magazines are Country Living, and Country Homes & Interiors. But the subscriptions, at least for Canadians, are so expensive! Just buying a single issue in the shop is a lot. But for a few years while I worked at a bookstore, I treated myself to them every month (though they were behind by at least a month or two because of coming from England). They were such a treat, and I can still feel and smell them! I gave them all to my sister, who's an artist, for inspiration. PS. I loved the tour of your ornaments! My sisters and I have done an ornament exchange every Christmas for a long time and I have a couple from my closest friends too. It's my favourite thing about putting up the tree every year; each one is sentimental!
Morgan, I recommend the online mince pies recipe by "A Virtual Vegan"! I bake them every Christmas and they are to die for! The exact right British taste! 😊 I am really enjoying your vlogmas even though I am a few days behind! ❤️
Just all the goodness, again. My Christmas movie watch list always includes White Christmas, and the animated version of the Life and Adventures of Santa Claus. It’s based on the L. Frank Baum book. My simmer pot is one of my favorite winter things. I like to throw in some whole cloves, and one star anise. The star anise is usually pretty strong so just one
THANK you so much another video, Morgan, Landon and Monsieur RoO.....!!!!!!! Morgan, where did you get your coat? I want one. It is so beautiful. I also need one of those squeeze balls :)
Morgan I have just LOVED this year’s vlogmas! You have seemed so happy and free! Also I giggled every time you said potpourri like “pot” pourri 😂 it’s pronounced “poe” pourri just fyi!
Hey Morgan, I’m from the uk and we have lots of fire sets available second hand or new ones if that’s more desirable. If you have a PO box I would be happy to find you a set and send it over the pond 😊
Hi Morgan, do you have a PO Box?? I’m in the UK and would be more than happy to send you some mince pies! You’d love them, and I’m sure I’ll be able to find some vegan ones. Xxx
This is just my brain so ignore this if you don’t care about this stuff. But the fireplace handle is silver so a bronze poking stick etc would look off 🫣 On another note. I’m behind on the videos and I’m watching this one day december 29 but I’m gonna miss a vlog everyday 😔
Thank you Morgan for reminding me over and over again that life can be okay.
You doing Vlogmas is one of the best gifts to be had. Thank you!
Wow Vanessa, thank you SO much for your sweet message. I am also a substitute teacher in Ontario and totally understand where you are coming from. 🇬🇧 in the big country houses the door curtains are usually heavy and help keep out the cold. Merry Christmas to the 3 of you. 🎄
Hi Morgan, Portland looks really pretty, I really like vintage stores. Interior decoration magazines are lovely, English Home is really beautiful.🤩
You two are so cute, lol. Merry Christmas! PS. Cost Plus World Market sells mince pies like that at Christmastime!
OMG! Beautiful ornaments love them! ❤️❄️❄️💚💚❤️🎄🎄❤️❄️🎁🎁🎁🎁☃️☃️🎅🏻☃️❤️❄️❄️❄️❤️🎄🎄❄️💚💚🎁🎁🎁💚❄️🎄🎄☃️☃️☃️🎅🏻☃️
Wow, my uncle was the superintendent of schools on Long Beach Island at one time. Small world!
I feeling you could get some of those foods like minced pie and the pudding at somewhere like a world market store

Thank you so much, Morgan, for taking the time to do vlogmas. Your videos have inspired me so much, with all the crafts and recipes and books. I look forward to watching your videos each evening and have been finding comfort in them, as certain parts of the holidays have been difficult for me.

Hey Morgan, 🦋
Your ornaments are so cute. I loved when you showed them.
And have you ever watched Last Holiday (2006)? It’s my all time favorite feel good/comfort movie. If you haven’t, I highly recommend it. 🧡💐🌞
It is good, the twist got me
Thank you for your encouraging words Vanessa! Hugs back to you and Merry Christmas. 🎄
If you ever need a holiday movie to watch here are some of my favorites: The Family Stone, Rise of the Guardians, While You Were Sleeping, and Arthur Christmas.

Another wonderful video. Thank you, Morgan, and thank you, Vanessa! Merry Christmas!
Landon with the headband is giving serious Zoolander vibes 😂😂
My first thought too 😂😂😂
I highly recommend watching The Holdovers! It is a beautifully filmed movie, and so heartwarming. Love your videos ❤

So cozy ❤ It inspires me a lot to create and enjoy this magical period
Can't believe it's nearly over...it's gone too quickly...January is going to feel very bleak without these blogs 😢
A great show I recently watched on Disney + was Billy and Molly an Otter Love Story. The story is touching and the cinematography is stellar. It's not Christmas but it has winter vibes
Roo is just the goofiest cutest doggo in the whole world 😊
Great video Morgan and thank you Vanessa for the Heartwarming message.
Also, congrats on feeling 100% again! It’s no fun being sick, but I’m glad you were able to recharge and take care of yourself ❤
Where can I get one of these stress balls? I need one to get me through this awful Christmas! Thank you
Morgan have you ever seen "The Holiday" with Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz? It's my #1 most favorite Christmas movie and I save it to watch ON Christmas because I love it so much - I think you and Landon would enjoy it!
Totally agree on "The Holiday"! Also, "Last holiday" with Queen Latifah is a really good one! (2006 was a very good year for Christmas movies)😜
@Eva_Pap. Really! I will have to also add that one to my list. Thank you for the recommendation!
Also, we are able to get mince pies and Christmas pudding if we order them. I’m in Connecticut. We love our English Christmas treats!
In a strange way I can relate ❤.. Please take care of yourself and do something nice just for yourself ❤️
Is that Landon's new seat cover in the truck...my husband has been dying to see them since Landon's birthday! 😂
Hi Morgan, i’m french and I enjoy your videos a lot! That´s funny, mince pies are a must in my house every year before christmas and I was just thinking a few days ago you should try them 😊. Have a lovely christmas, Carole
❤🌲🤗
The culture shock when I moved to England and Christmas Pudding, Christmas Cake, and Mince Pies were at all the festive gatherings 😅 I do quite like them but they're very unique and quite polarising.
Fun fact, kids leave mince pies and sherry for Father Christmas over here too! Our American/British household also leaves cookies and milk. Full smorgasbord for Santa at our place 😅
Cancel order on magazine and redo it with code! Merry Christmas you two! 🎉❤
Thank you so much for a lovely vlog. ❤ Thank you Vanessa. ❤
So many messages from Canada!🥰 I wonder if you ever received a message from Ukraine❤💙💛 I'm already a little bit sad that there are only 3 videos ahead
Love your podcast dear Morgan .. my hubby said to find you a blacksmith and he will probably make you the kind of fire poker set like you want .. my husband made several when he was younger but he’s told now to do it ♥️
What is the name of the magic squishy ball? I am convinced I need one 🤩
I've made dehydrated oranges two times and they sadly never had any fragrance. But they're so beautiful on a tree or as decoration for presents.
@@Xeni.a Thank you for chiming in! They are really pretty. It would be an added bonus if they had a natural fragrance too!
Loved!
So happy for you Morgan
Merry christmas morgan ❤
Have you ever watched „It‘s a wonderful life“? To me the most beautiful christmas movie ever! I cry every time♥️
❤️❤️❤️One of the best thumbnailsss
I'm about to binge the last two 🎦
🎄✨🎄✨🎄✨🎄
Morgan, that bright red lip suits you so well!!
Morgan, I recommend the online mince pies recipe by "A Virtual Vegan"! I bake them every Christmas and they are to die for! The exact right British taste! 😊
I am really enjoying your vlogmas even though I am a few days behind! ❤️
Great video as always !!!
Hey Morgan,
I’m from the uk and we have lots of fire sets available second hand or new ones if that’s more desirable. If you have a PO box I would be happy to find you a set and send it over the pond 😊
Watch Fred Clause! Great movie!
3 days to go before Christmas!
lol Landen looks like Zoolander with that band around his head.
Hi Morgan, do you have a PO Box?? I’m in the UK and would be more than happy to send you some mince pies! You’d love them, and I’m sure I’ll be able to find some vegan ones. Xxx
❤🎉❤🎉❤
This is just my brain so ignore this if you don’t care about this stuff. But the fireplace handle is silver so a bronze poking stick etc would look off 🫣
On another note. I’m behind on the videos and I’m watching this one day december 29 but I’m gonna miss a vlog everyday 😔
