It's not about blackmail. It's funny. It's a critic on modern life. Lol. Watch past the first two episodes and it gets funnier and actually made me cry on the last two episodes.

Don't judge it from its trailer. It's really good. There is no blackmailing or anything. To be honest the guy (Max) is one of my favourite. Once you start , you will binge watch it and would need another season
for me one of the best and most intelligent series in a long time. Not least because of the outstanding actors. Absolutely worth watching and I'm waiting for season 2.

He should just say he has a kink of humiliating people and she could be like ‘oh word? I have a degradation kink’ and I’d go ahead and think this is all fun and fresh. My first reaction isn’t ‘awww, how cute...what soulmates’ 🤪 when the meet-cute is some chick wildin and flipping the bean in her office and weirdo #2 takes pics.

I understand all the criticism the movie is getting, but... I don't know, it still feels very accurate to how our society works. It looks genuinely post-modern Swedish, and I know I will be watching it.

I just watched this series, 8 episodes in a row. Wow! Great Binge Show! He is cute and so handsome, she is beautiful, electric and fun. Their attraction and chemistry grows around their daily work hours and fun games they play. This all together, plus their private lives controversies, makes the show very entertaining and super fun. I’m absolutely ready for season 2!

I am a feminist and I loved the show. Not gonna lie, the photo situation made me feel uncomfortable. Quite honestly the whole show did, but I think that was the point. Challenging societal norms is not supposed to feel comfortable. The power dynamic is interesting and it's definitely not one sided. Spoiler: Whoever has the lipstick has the power.
It's gray area... you can't exactly apply it to real life situation, although... there's many things people do that are at the very edges of what's ok, but if you were to describe it, it'd look skeevy as hell(couldn't be explained)... That's because a lot of things we do are sometimes too complex and nuanced to fit neatly into what's technically considered ok, and what isn't.
A number of things I pick up on here is: She treats him badly at first. She walks in from a very high position, and he's next to nothing really. Yelling at him for just doing his job and wanking in the office are both messed up. She obviously doesn't want the picture to get out but she's not afraid of him in the slightest, and it seems he understands that. His payback and humiliation is sort of cute and aimed at something other than sexual degradation/harassment. He has her to lunch in a Burger King with him because he rightly pinpoints her as someone who wouldn't want to be sat down in a place like that, and the follow up joke he plays... that was as far as the punishment went, she can now delete the picture.
And as you say, the introduction of the lipstick obliterates all normal power dynamics. Either one could refuse and the game would be over, but they don't want to. It's more exhilarating to keep on playing, and that's why.

i think americans just can understand european culture. They prefer shows like emily in paris which makes fun of all of that. He never threatened her , he even told her to erase the photo in the show. Theyre just puritans who prefer that couples stay in unhappy marriages than get a divorce and cant see a naked body. I really liked the show.

The trailer didnt really get my interest to watch this but since I dont have other choice today coz I was so bored I just finished all episode and at the end of the day I love this show its new its current its something u wouldn’t expect and knew whats going to happen like all other movies its like the same story all the time ul know whats the ending esp disneyish movies. I like this kind of movie it’s realistic that could learn a lot of today not just a mere fantasy.

I'm torn between wanting a season 2 and leaving it up to the imagination.
I thought the ending left it so open to possibilities.
And they were both free birds. That's why they both looked at the bird at the end, their heads turned at the same time.
Their meeting made them face all their demons and real-life problems.
And once resolved, now they can do anything and be anyone. They can be authentic.
If season 2 comes with the same energy and quality and we get to see how they now fit into each other's lives without anything holding them back.
Then, sure.

The lead Swedish actress Ida Engvoll was in the thriller series " Rebecka Martinsson" she was amazing in that series! Wish she didn't leave! They do have Rebecka on acorntv though! She was superb in the 1st season.

Amazing show! I loved it so much. I've watched it like 5 times by now.
Mostly re-watching Sofie and Max's scenes or scenes during which Sofie liberates herself.
I really love that she's a tree, becoming a forest.
And Max can take care of plants. Like that's his thing. Taking care of plants.
And he always wears plants shirts and has tree drawings all over his room.
I love these kind of Twin Flame stories.
That's what the experience and journey feels like.
Letting go of societal norms, at the expense of being seemed insane.
It feels like liberation.
At the end, she's a forest and she's with the guy who knows how to water and care for plants.
Things will turn out ok as long as Sofie and Max are together.
Wow, you’ve managed to notice so many cool symbols in the show, which I totally, and sadly, missed myself. Kudos! And all this stuff does come to the surface when you rewatch it, its definitely done with love and care and attention to detail, not a single line or pic or even dress code has been shown in vain. I love Lisa Langseth (screenwriter and director) for this approach, it’s as if you look at a magic box, which with every new opening produces something new to behold and enjoy.

This was an interesting watch. Full of toxic relationships, but also laugh out loud funny at times. The bets were the best part of the show but they stopped about halfway through and it got a lot more depressing which was necessary for the characters to grow. Didn’t love it, but it was fun overall and only 4 hours total.
I just returned from one week in Stockholm and love to see, the beautiful footages used in this series, especially the area of Kungstragarden. I actually passed the 'office' a few time (Västra Trädgårdsgatan 2) which is a Chinese Cultural center. No spoilers here but a must watch!
Wow! I did the exact same thing last year - January 2023. It was hard to find the location of the office building on Google but eventually I did. Thankfully it was a short walking distance from my hotel in Gamla Stan. And then I bumped into the Royal Opera that turned out to be just around the corner and went to a ballet the same evening. And in between I took a cab to Hermans, a great vegan restaurant. And walked around Sodelmam. Loved Stockholm!

this reminds me of a French movie that started Marion Coitllard in which both leads would give each other silly dares. I cannot remember the name of the movie. But that was a more serious take on the story while this one seems more comedic
