- Mary Ann Riojas was born with only one arm and no legs. She became a single mom of 4 kids while going to school. Her home doesn't fit her special needs, so Ty and the designers help build her a home that can accommodate her needs.

Wow!!! Tears fall continously. Mary Ann's life is so inspiring. How can I complain? Yes, I am going through hardships with barely enough food to put to our table, but I am physically complete.. And to think that, she has 4 kids and is supporting all her children alone while going to college, wow!!! amazing!!! I have no right to complain to God...this made me realize that I just have to labor, just like what she did.

Mary Anne❤ I've never known a woman with so much strength! I'm actually STRUGGLING to find the right words! What she achieved is amazing! Then to do with 4 children ALONE too!with her severe disabilities too! BUT she NEVER complains! Watching her just jump on the counter top was SCARY! MEANING NO! PLEASE DON'T FALL! I myself have disabilities & alone& struggle everyday! BUT if Mary Anne can do what she has, THANKYOU sweetheart! You have given me inspiration to do things that I'd never dreamt of! May you ALWAYS have an angel by your side xx❤❤
What an amazing role model this woman is, for everyone. Kudos to the team that built from scratch an amazing house that meets all the family needs. Great relationship she has with her children And they have with her. Love this episode.

Asbestos is a major problem and what appear to be perfectly good houses here in Australia now have to be demolished, the house next door to the one directly behind mine had to be knocked down last year. There was an Asbestos Mine about 35 miles (60ks) from where I grew up and I knew some of the people who worked there and most ended up dying of asbestos poisoning.

Ty is definitely still in charge..and the original crew are still around, they just need to rotate the designers to fit the needs of each renovation..perhaps the people you have in mind would have been surplus to requirements on this particular build.
