IMO DS1 I would recommend something like the great club or uchigatana as getting passed Quelaag without a good weapon is very time consuming and annoying if you die. You suggested a crystal weapon which is likely to get even intermediate players a struggle with it's durability not to mention the time it takes to get. I don't think most intermediate players or even people starting with speed running can get to anorlondo in under an hour. No hate, I like your content but when giving advice on these games it seems rather limited to the speed runs you do.
Killing the Draconic Tree Sentinel early like that is nice, but there are definitely easier options if you’re a more casual player that isn’t interested in precise setups like that. The Boss is only killed here for a big chunk of runes, so don’t be intimidated if you want to follow this guide but don’t want to do the setup; it’s not mandatory to get OP early
For DS2, I always start with bonfire asthetic. Burn it at the cardinal tower after cheesing the pursuer. Collect 3 chunks. Rapier to +8. Takes less than 20 minutes. I think theres an ymfah video about it.
In sekiro, after getting through gyubo and the blazing bull which should be easy with firecrackers, you can go to ashina depths only having to kill the snake eye in the poison swamp (which can be cheesed using said poison swamp) and cheese the false curropt monk using firecrackers and fistfuls of ash. You can also get to senpu temple early through the dungeon and run all the way to the end to get the senpu art skill tree. If you collect all the prayer beads and gourd seed lying around, you can get to genichiro with 7 heals, 3 attacks upgrades ( if you also killed lady butterfly), several powerful prosthetics like firecrackers, umbrella and axe, and powerful skills like ichimonji double ( from isshin in the tower after gyubo) and senpu kicks. While sekiro doesn’t have builds like the other games it is still 100% possible to sequence break and get really powerful early on with clever routing.
Great video! One thing I love to do to spice a bit DS3 is to get the Great Magic Weapon and Frozen Weapon, for a bit of extra magical damage without resins (is not really needed but I like it in my build). You only need to get 15 int for that
I don't understand the Dark Souls 1 pathing. This feels like a summary of the first hour of your no hit runs more than anything. Crystal Halberd over the Grave Lord Sword or a fire infused Scythe? No pyromancy at all?
Thanks for this guide, I just started Bloodbourne and I've struggled a bit using the Cane Sword. I'm normally a Dex guy but I'll definitely give the Cleaver a try! Also, my favorite FromSoft game actually is Sekiro because it is purely an action game. It feels like From was able to really focus on the player experience in Sekiro as compared to games like Elden Ring. The gameplay, while difficult at first, is definitely the most satisfying to master. If they do another pure action game all that I'd want to see is a continued focus on hyper-smooth gameplay. The gameplay loop and combat should be sharpened to a razor's edge like Sekiro, and really focus on skill mastery over build supremacy.
Before I even watch demon souls: grab crescent falchion dark souls: grab bkh ds2: ??? Not sure ds3: ??? Not sure Elden Ring: Kill both Greyoll and the Night Calvary nearby and you already can stomp through limgrave and liurnia.
I love the worlds fromsoft creates and the stories they tell. If the next game wasnt an rpg i wouldnt be disappointed, might even present fromsofts storytelling and worldbuilding to a different genre of gamers
Well, Sekiro still has a little bit of wiggle room when it comes to getting op. Use the axe to just rip trough posture bars, even better with fang and blade skill. Use it as much as you can
I would say the Catacombs Great Scythe suicide run is even better because you get it right away and it's super OP, probably the best weapon in the game.
in DS1 you can get any of the Twinkling Titanite weapons to +5 with zero boss kills or get a +5 magic weapon of your choice in muuuuch less time. Downside to Twinkling Titanite is you only really have access to Astora's, Black knights rng and Jagged Ghost blade but farming that is a pain. Downside to magic is split damage, no buffs and Int scaling. Both routes are almost the same. Start with master key or thief class, elevator to new londo, head to valley of drakes, then straight to blight town shortcut. You CAN grab 2 firekeeper souls on the way (new londo + blight town) if you want. Head straight down into the swamp at the bottom of blight town, follow the wall to the bonfire, feel free to rest (its just as hard to leave with the elevator to valley shortcut as it was to get here.) From the bonfire exit, your gonna head towards Qualaag but to the left. There's some roots in the far corner that lead to a chest, behind the chest is an illusionary wall, with ANOTHER one behind it. Past those is the great hollow. Great Hollow has 10 crystal lizards in it, although it'll require some reloading to get them all. I'd recommend looking up a guide for all the locations as well, but doing that will get you 20 Twinkling, and a bunch of other Titanite (including a pretty high chance at slabs.) Outside of the great hollow entrance in blight town are a bunch of slugs. Each slug has a 2% chance of dropping 5 green titanite shards, and a 5% chance of dropping a large shards. The blacksmith back in New Londo, just down the stairs by the water near the drakes door can ascend your weapon to magic without an ember, as well as upgrade everything. You can also take path to Andre in this video if you need regular titanite. You could also just make and max out Fury Sword around the same time you get the halberd. Admittedly, crystal halberd is likely the best option in raw dps at the point it becomes available, but if you AREN'T playing like a pro and want to be OP because you're having a hard time in the game its just going to break on you. Most of those options can last you the entire game, or close to it. Astora's is pretty bad for Oolacle dlc, 4 kings and dukes, but the games basically over by then and you should probably be using buffs and a buffable weapon on a faith build for those anyhow.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the saw spear in BB. I prefer that moveset and think the damage trade off is ok cause I just land so many more charged attacks

With each Necromancer killed, the drop chance to get the Skull Lantern increases (for the last one the drop chance is 50 percent) 5: if no Skull Lantern, restart game and repeat steps 1-4, otherwise progress to 6 6: in the offhand the Skull Lantern produces light, so equip in the main hand and you have the most powerful weapon in the game (25 physical and 75 fire damage) Alternative path to becoming (even more) OP in Dark Souls 2 early: 1: kill the Dragonrider 2: from the Souls acquired buy Fragrant branch of Yore from Melentia 3: unpetrify the stone statue in the tutorial 4: kill the two cyclops in the tutorial (bait them on the bridge and kill them with the aid of gravity) 5: enter the hut in the Things Betwixt and talk to Milibeth 6: Milibeth will give you the Handmaid's Ladle, the most powerful weapon in the game by far
Saw spear (which is in the sewers of the starting area) is better then saw cleaver. The cleaver only give serrated damage in one of its 2 modes. Spear does it in both
I would be disappointed if they made another pure action game because the character building in the Souls Games are maybe the best I've ever experienced in any video game. It sucks to not have those options when playing. It also gives people an edge to help them overcome a really tough challenge. I am HORRIBLE at parrying and have never gotten it down in any of the Souls games. That alone kept me from playing Sekiro as I knew I would have no chance with that game.
I definitely don’t think this is for a new or casual souls player. Anyone could do the demon’s souls setup but DS1 is tough having to go through both Blighttown and Sen’s Fortress to get to it.
I'll be very upset if the next fs game is sekiro-like. The lack of build variety kills the game for me. But something like lies of P is perfect for me.

Hey I know this seems like a lot of work, but could you dedicate a few hours of your life to create a video showing an extremely broken beginning of the game in Darksouls 3, from the beginning of character creation to being able to level up a weapon to +10, without cuts, showing all the paths you take and all the bonfires you access, I know this could take hours, but could you do this for the new community? You must have hundreds of hours of DS3 so you must have already memorized the places, create a new character and show the way of how to get +10 Estus Flask, how to get a +10 weapon, as you mentioned recording the video without cuts can be tiring, so make cuts, but always show the location of the bonfires and the places you are going, the most frustrating thing about watching a game guide when you are a new player is not knowing what the person showing the video means by those random locations, without having a path to show. I know you may not get many views, but I believe you will enjoy doing this because you are bringing something constructive to the community.
