from what i gathered, in this version of the lore: dave knows who bandu is dave cares about bandu's health dave thinks bandu's transformation into badai was an unwilling expunged experiment (may or may not actually be true) you STILL can't play expunged dave can enter the 3d world but still stay 2d (he's in triple phonebreakers form too for some reason, though i guess the only major difference there is the icon being glossy) expunged is tuned dave can kill chaos gods with his voice
Mostly correct, i'll go ahead and clarify a few details of this au i've decided on since i'm actually interested in this now - badai was indeed a transformation caused by expunged to make its brother more willing to cause chaos, though dave didn't know that and just had a lucky guess - this takes place after dave has gained more control of his powers and has gotten used to the inhabitants, hence why he knows and cares about bandu and can stay 2d (the triple phonebreakers sprite is just him but scared, so no major difference there) - expunged had just recently finished transforming bandu, so when dave tired him out from the first part of the song, expunged came in to waste dave's time so bandu could recover and get the jump on him. when expunged disappears at the end, that's just it leaving to let bandu attack - chronologically, this cover is followed by a fight or flight cover i don't plan to release yet (due to using sprites from bombastichype's mandela covers, which he ain't comfortable with being public) where expunged has successfully transformed dave in the same manner as bandu and goes after tristan next by breaking him down with the sight of his assimilated father
@@bopplemcnuggets4387 is expunged's unfairness form also caused by getting infected with the corruption he put bandu and dave through? if so did he intentionally corrupt himself as part of his twisted ploy or did some other sinister entity initiate this and he's just a victim
so either two things happened: Bandu Agreed to transform because he is a chaos god, or B: Expunged kinda became a show off to make bandu jealous because bandu looks up to expunged, thus bandu finally agreed, or 3: Expunged F O R C E D
