I’m from allegan county as well. Any recommendations places to put in a 16’ vbottom? Rivers always make me nervous but I didn’t realize the smallie numbers!

Lake Allegan has a couple of launches! Fishing is great out there in spring and fall, if it’s summer just drop in and fly upriver until you find the current. From the Lake all the way to the Dam by the iron bridge is deep enough for a boat and has solid smallies. Tight lines man!

It's good! Lots of small ones but the occasional tank will bite! Never crossed 40 inches but some solid mid 30’s aren’t too rare.

@ spring can be tough on the river with the constantly changing water levels but anywhere between Kalamazoo and allegan will have fish. I really like to fish Lake Allegan in the spring, the bite can be incredible when the sun is out.
