am trying to switch careers and I don’t have any background in IT I have healthcare background where would you suggest I start in order to switch careers to a FHIR developer?
Strengthen your coding skills if you're serious about being a developer first. 1. Take a basic Fullstack JS course and learn to build web applications 2. Understand Health IT data model fundamentals like FHIR, openEHR etc 3. Understand Health IT Code Systems like SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD10, RxNorm 4. Learn to work with open-source projects like openMRS, Bahmini, and ERPNext and implement them in a real-world hospital setting. 5. You'll already be more advanced than 99% of your peers in Health IT.
@@medblocks I just started learning Python. I have a basic understanding of PostMan API without the JSON test (which is the most imp part, I know) . So, how should I proceed? I don't want to crack any exam or anything. I want to create a healthcare app that can communicate between e-health records, lab tests, etc. I know many exist in the market already. However, I wanna create one, that's how I learned about FHIR and landed on your channel. So how will you suggest me to proceed? Will the bootcamp help me?
