Happily I turned to this meditation today and found that my entire body was feeling heated and the releasing of this heat through my breathing and cooling down made a fantastic difference to the way I felt. There is magic in the air when people say "cool it!"
Wow this was great. I had a frustrating and unpleasant encounter with work today and it fundamentally doesn’t matter but it’s the principle of it. The annoyance was burning like the flame and even when I wasn’t thinking about the feeling reminded me that I’m annoyed. I knew I could influence it mentally but couldn’t do it, so decided to search and thankfully found this. Flame extinguished. 🎉 Saving this for frequent use
The difference I noticed today is that the body feels tense when you become more and more annoyed and the result, for me, is that my upper body tenseness returns to a more normal feeling, And I now notice, that my mind and thinking is back to a more normal feeling, and not tied up in a knot! What I've noticed during this meditation is that "cool it" does not work effectively for myself but may work well when you experience the anger of people confronting you! However, occasions will arrive where you recognize that you feel various levels of stress> annoyance> frustration> mad> anger> rage, etc. and by just using breathing you can release the heat in your body to a new and comfortable level of relief and then calm. ADB,MD
Too fast meditation. Not helpful! I just came here cause i went through really annoying and frustrating situation. And this meditation was not helpful at all, in fact disappointing more. Expecting "flame" to reduce and that's it, didn't work. Rushing without going deep in to the emotion or the mind trigger at play is just not helpful. Instead of rushing in "like and subscribe", give time to actual content. Thanks for the effort anyway
