  • The time has come to bid this series farewell after all this time. Now, as I bury this show in the ground where it belongs beside Walt Disney himself, I realize it truly was an honor to see this show rise and to see it shot down in the street by Micky. The least I can do is give the show a proper rest before its corpse is dug up and puppeteered by the mouse.
    Intro: (0:00)
Episode 6: We Take A Zebra To Vegas: (0:27)
Episode 7: We Find out the Truth, Sort of: (2:25)
Episode 8: The Prophecy Comes True: (6:07)
    Closing: (8:09)
    ???: (8:47)
    Outro: (9:02)
All footage, art, and music belong to their respective creators, including Disney, the talented artists, and the additional content used. Also the Storyboards for Luke's Betrayal is made by the talented Sergeant Dogmeat. I don't know who they personally are, but I really like the art style they have so please check out his video The Betrayal of Luke Castellan (youtube.com)
Thank You to @potatosalad6327, @Zaya170, and many others for their support. Thank you especially to @Zaya170 for being my newscaster for some little fun tidbit at the end. I totally haven't been putting lore or anything in my videos, ha, that would be stupid...

I mean it wasn't that bad (like last time), but also not as great as I hoped.
Also a problem is in my opinion that I read the books 10 years ago and the main target group is also 10 years younger than myself.
But your right in comparison to the books the series is completely underwhelming.

I feel that, it's better than the movies 100% but it's still disappointing, it has some good episodes and some mediocre ones but as a series it don't really hold up unless you know the books. I tried to look at it as it's own universe cause I haven't read it in a long time but it's hard not to compare.

It’s named that because that’s the name of the actual chapter.

Ik lol, in the chapter Percy talks to a zebra and realizes that he communicates with all horses and horse related creatures, but it makes no sense to use it in the context of the show is all, just poking some fun at it

So Rick Riordan doesn't like Film or TV. The reason he was never involved with the films is due to that reason. However he wanted a good adaptation because he knows that his fans do like film and TV. Thus needed to make sure the the series was faithful. I think the issue is a lack of great filmmakers associated with this project. Like the visual storytelling needs improvement. The fact that the statement about not being able to have Argus (guy with 100 eyes) wasn't able to appear due to CGI budget is dumb. I am an aspiring filmmaker and all film making is, is problems solving. He watches Percy as he sleeps right, and he drives em to the bus stop. Easy way for first appearance is to have a big man glued with plastic eyes, but cuz Percy is dazed, you can make it so blurry that and weird looking that we the viewer don't even realize what he's seeing till later. He you have plant.
Then if you want to establish him later giving the kids a lift, have him covered up and in silhouette, setting is early morning so put the sun behind him.
He is self conscious about some of his eyes in the book, lean into this. Maybe make Charon give a comment about not mentioning it or something. Then only see the more eyes during the car ride on his neck or something but keep it in intrigue

I definitely agree that the visual storytelling is one of the many things that need improvement. While I'm not a filmmaker and I don't understand everything behind the scenes, claiming you can't have a character due to cgi is a poor excuse, you can always use prosthetics, perspective, and as u mentioned lighting and simple add ons and keep his face primarily hidden. Try and keep it as practical as you can while still setting in mystery, intrigue, and a sense of otherworldliness. Idk how they'll handle Tyson when season 2 comes out if they are so worried about their cgi budget

@@Balthazar-hellraiser He's the thing, I don't blame Rick Riordan because he doesn't even watch films and that his right. But Disney is literally a machine that cuts cost and gets things out quick.
I feel like Mr. Riordan is being mislead because this isn't his expertise and thus he is trusting so called "experts".
Passion creates profit, if you are passionate about your work then it will always find success. The only passion that kills a profit ironically is passion about money. Greed works once then always has the opposite effect of the greedy persons intent

Don't worry I don't blame him either, I purposely pinned it on Disney in a fun way lol. I may find the show mid but there're so many people involved, and they don't deserve any hate or blame for how it turned out, I bet there were so many people really passionate about it but sometimes passion for a project and the goals of executives don't exactly match up especially when money is thrown into the mix

@@Balthazar-hellraiser Oh 100%. I believe the issue is a lack of investment in people. I think that's the issue everywhere if I'm being honest. We need to pay people what they are worth and also look for people who are better than us to work with.
I am still an aspiring film maker and the best advice I got is to work with people better that you so you can be better after
