I'm already there, Ress. For the first few hours afterwards, I was thinking, "Well, that was fun." Then it turned to, "I'd like to do that again soon." And now it's at, "Which pieces of furntiure could I sell for the most money?"
Great video and history info 😄👍Thanks! Been there in real life amazing views ..wow if i remember correctly the bus drives up the tight road and then you take a lift inside the mountain up to the eagles nest ..the lift itself is small but i seem to remember it was gold inside lol
Berchtesgaden is a very nice place. Been there one time. Eagles Nest was closed sadly. A few miles down Königssee is the Hintersee where an old Farm sells Beverages and the owner lives there under the week as i remember right. Also the Königssee is famous for its Echo at a specific Point on the Lake. There a Bavarian Guy with a Trumpet plays and you can hear a very clear Echo. Its a must to do there. Nice to see it in such great Graphics in MSFS. And oh yes. Sim flying is so similar with the real thing. Im doing every Year a flight in a Diamond Katana for an hour. I can fly after takeoff on my own with a Pilot of course in the plane. But comparing the Sim with RL is everytime just awesome.
I was reading about the horn blower! They said he plays in such a way that his timing makes it sound like there are several players at once. It really is incredible that the sim has gotten so lifelike that some areas are hard tell tell if you're looking at a real image or not. As 2024 improves, I think the hobby will begin to attract curious explorers in droves. I can't wait!
Beautiful scenery! Although I live in southern Bavaria I was not aware of how beautiful this area is really. But for me everything looks more amazing when you look out of a cockpit in 500-1000 ft AGL….
I know man, it's really hard for me not to just one trip after another out there. I wish we had something like that here in the states. The Rockies are nice, but we're missing the Alpine village vibes.
True but you n the other hand the grass is always more green on the other side. That‘s why I am gonna have my vacation this year in the West of the States to visit all the interesting and impressive cities and places there that we do not have. And I have been in the States at the East coast 3 times already and love it 😁
Awesome flight! And I’m glad you got to fly IRL. I got to fly a Piper Warrior with a friend’s son who is a CFI. He even let me do 2 touch and go’s ( he handled the throttle). At the time I had about 100 hours in the sim but 90% of that was just flying around instead of learning to fly. The IRL flight was what got me motivated to learn.
That town with your initial takeoff looked really cool. Also, I always felt confident that I could fly a real plane from just being a Sim pilot. You figure real pilot use Sims for training so you would think the sim would be pretty close to real life, minus, like you said.... the turbulence
One more thing I didn't mention in the vid is how TIGHT the cockpit is in those 172s. I'm 6'1" and was hitting the limits of my range of motion with the elbow room. And there are a lot of planes even smaller than that!
Importing flight plans into MSFS 2024, copy the flight plan to your clipboard in LNM them open MSFS 2024 Flight Planner in your browser, create a new flight plan and paste the contents of the clipboard in the text box. Save it and you will be able to access it in your EFB

Ha ha! Yeah, in the states we have this online outfit where homeowners can rent their house out to tourists for a few days. One of them is called Vrbo "Vacation rental by owner" ... the other big one is Airbnb (bed and breakfast). I couldn't fit the second one in the title space.
I like to be just abiguous enough with my commentary that anyone, from any country, on any side of any aisle thinks we would probably agee on anything.
FAAAAANNNNNTASTIC as always and Congrats to the winner.
Amazing tour and fantastic scenery. Congrats on your flight in the 172, careful, the urge to fly some more may overtake you!

@@MSFSFlightPlans Go for it, I reiterate, you have a natural talent for flying.
Beautiful flight !

Yes! That's it, the elevator is gold. I think that's what it looked like from the start, but the video said they repalced the doors at some point.
@@MSFSFlightPlans cool 😀👍

Very well done! Love the historical research. Quickly becoming one of my top MSFS go to channels!
Awesome! Thanks!

Yeah, so you know how I'm feeling right now. All I can think about is getting back up there and doing better than I did the first time.
That was fantastic!

Just about to watch the video. But before I do, I have to say: as a Brit of a certain age, I know all about Berchtesgaden - but what the heck is Vrbo?

Mullosk charter?
That's exactly what that is!
Is this a cheeky nod to the current administration?
